Thank Kano for this.
Solution was in the README file.
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac/Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: January 17, 2024, 11:26:13 PM
Ok, thank you.

I'm trying to have my 2 X 2PAC up and running again. I have been following https://kano.is/gekko.php to get the cgminer.

I'm having some issues as you can see here https://imgur.com/a/IptY8BE. Not sure what I do wrong.

I'm using Raspbian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye) on a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B Rev 1.1

Using a Delock USB hub as this: https://www.av-cables.dk/usb-3-0-hub/delock-usb-3-0-hub-7-vejs-switch.html?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAkp6tBhB5EiwANTCx1MKO3fpgJZG46CVQ10BF86DT6jYqHjiHdACuVhNc3gs4JkzugAUlVBoCAJ4QAvD_BwE

I have 2x2PAC miners and I'm trying to find out where I can get the 3D print of the same "case" for the FAN for the Compac F.

Does anyone knows?

Thank you in advanced.
4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New GekkoScience product, the Smart Hub on: January 17, 2024, 08:07:57 AM
Personally I changed from the gen1 hub and seperate pi4 to the smarthub and havent looked back. Waiting on potential updates for it. It certainly makes things a lot easier to manage on my desk. Well worth it IMO.

So almost 300€ is worth it on Bitshopper.

The cgminer install supports all Gekko devices. Power comes from 12V 6-pin or barrel like the regular hubs and Terminus pod miners.

How much power is needed for this hub?
6  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience has a new stickminer that does 300+GH on: January 13, 2024, 03:02:16 PM
Where do you get the fan holder for this device? Embarrassed
7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience has a new pod miner, just in time for Christmas on: January 13, 2024, 02:59:34 PM
I'm sorry. I have been away from this site for a long time.   Embarrassed

I do hope if you can answer if this is still a good device istead of the Compact F.

Can you add the old 2PAC to this device?  Embarrassed

And how do you add power to this device?
9  Local / Skandinavisk / Er det muligt at swappe USDC (BEP20) til ETH (ERC20)? on: January 12, 2024, 04:30:03 PM
Hej.

Mvh

When you mine, how do I know that I found a Bitcoin?
I see a lot of accept and then a number/text and diff something, but what is that? Is that Bitcoin?
Sorry for n00b question.

Hi.

I will try to raise my question here.

Is there any option to be notified if the cgminer detects any issues - like using http://pushover.net?
12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac/Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: December 07, 2020, 08:34:15 AM
What's the reason for moving them?
13  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac/Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: December 03, 2020, 12:34:10 PM
I would like to send notification to my phone by using https://pushover.net/ if something goes wrong. I have a stick that after awhile goes into zombie mode, then I need to shutdown my RPI and then it runs again, but I'm not monitoring it every day. Just some times.

Is there any option for monitoring cgminer?

Does anyone knows if there's import duty to Denmark from USA?

Hi.

It has been a long time I have been on this forum, but I have a HP DPS-800GB power supply and I would like to know have many TR606 it can control?

Thank you.
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Terminus R606 750GH (up to 1TH) quiet miner, now shipping on: July 23, 2019, 08:54:55 AM
Is it still not possible to buy in Europe?
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcing GekkoScience's new USB stick miner, the aptly-named NewPac on: April 18, 2019, 10:27:53 AM
So 6 of these NewPac is the same as your R606?
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac Stickminer Official Support Thread on: April 18, 2019, 08:59:50 AM
Putting the whole path in worked for me, but I had to work with a different autostart file to get everything to run.

Try this:

open a terminal

Code:
cd .config/lxsession/LXDE-pi
nano autostart

Then add

Code:
@/usr/bin/lxterminal --geometry=90x35 -e /home/pi/cgminer/cgminer

to the last line.   Save and reboot.

I tried this, but now my headless pi is just black when I use VNC.  Shocked

1. I'm currently running Raspian Stretch 9.8 with no issues.

2. You will likely want to save the run.sh file in the same folder as cgminer.

Another way to approach the issue, is  to run cgminer with the initial command line arguments, then use "s" > "w" ("Y" if asked to confirm overwrite) to write a config file.

Open another command prompt and (assuming you have a default instalation) navigate to and edit the config file with:

Code:
sudo su
cd /home/pi/.cgminer
nano cgminer.conf

You can now edit the cgminer config file.

Once you have it edited as desired, exit and save the cgminer.conf file with ctrl+x.

Now you can restart cgminer with "./cgminer" in the original window that cgminer was running in, and it will run with the updated config file settings. If you are switching settings often (maybe manually trying to hone in on a frequency) just leave the second command prompt window open so you can use one window for running cgminer and one for editing cgminer.conf.

3. I'll defer to someone else on this one, I'm just learning linux... (edit: This tutorial may have what you want for a cgminer auto run at start: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=233392.0).

4. For remote access I use VNC viewer.  You do have to sign up for a free account, but it's an easy process to get up and running. https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/how-to-use-remote-desktop-on-the-raspberry-pi-with-vnc/all.

Hope that helps a bit.

I have followed the link in point 3 and in point 10 in the link you have to do this:

Code:
sudo nano /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart

and add this to end of the file:

Code:
@/usr/bin/lxterminal --geometry=90x35 -e cgminer

But for some reason it will not start after reboot.

Do I have to add the whole path to CGminer, if so what is the path?
20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac Stickminer Official Support Thread on: April 11, 2019, 09:44:29 PM
so you want to make a .sh file (shell script).

first line is always "#!/bin/sh"  (a.k.a hashbang then the script type.)
Then you include the command you would enter into the terminal on the next line.

obviously, it can get a lot more complicated, just like batch files, but that's the first step.

simple example:  run.sh

Code:
#!/bin/sh

cgminer -o stratum+tcp://pool.ckpool.org:3333 -u 1HpnRjN2ru4NhYFrZFsXe3JXCyJWW9fDeh.2pac -p x --suggest-diff 1  --gekko-2pac-freq 200

after you've made your .sh file, you need to make it executable.  the command for that is "chmod +x run.sh", or if you have a GUI, you can right click on it, and on one of the property pages you can select to make it executable.

then to run a shell script, you need to type in "./run.sh".  the dot slash is critical.

In connection with this, I would like to ask some n00b questions.
1st. What version of the Raspbian should I use?
2nd. Where do you save the run.sh?
3rd. How can you make the run.sh run at startup?
4th. How do you supervise your PI's?
