1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are you running any masternodes? on: April 04, 2018, 10:25:34 PM
most masternodes are a scam so be careful when thinking about getting one.

Make sure you do deep dive research on these cheaper ones

I read the "do your own research", "do deep dive research" all the time without almost no actual advice about how to do so.

I would relay appreciate an advice about how do you research a coin ( especially a new one). What do you look in a master node coin, or do you start by looking for negative attributes ( and if so what are they)?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What is your prospective about short term mining coin picking? on: March 20, 2018, 02:02:22 PM
My prospective is that I don't rely care what to mine, I have no problem with shitcoins because I have no intention holding them for long. I am interested to mine as much as possible and then convert them to a more mature and stable coin (BTC, ETH…) or to Fiat. And can do so on daily or weekly basis.

Which means that the fundamentals (Dev team track record, real world application …) of the coin are not very important, because I am not looking for the next ETH that can potently go to the moon only a coin with very low mining difficulty and an exchange where I can trade it.

The coin can be the next BTC, a 1:1 clone of another coin, have zero innovation or a total scam, it doesn’t really matter if the holding interval is very short.
Writing this post actually helped me to formulate my thoughts better. I would love to hear why I am wrong or right and get more prospective about short term mining coin picking.

If I am totally wrong, I would be really glad to hear how you go beyond the hassle free WhatToMine level average reward mining to the next and more rewarding level at which you spend some time each day to pick the new and not yet high mining difficulty coin.

I am not expecting to be spoon feed I am just looking for some prospective. So far I came across Crypto-CoinZ which looks like a version of WhatToMine for new coins and also read to in a few threads to look at the announcement forum at bitcointalk to find out new coins. But was unable to came across anything that convinced me that there is anything beyond: "Pick newest coin possible(bitcointalk) > mine it while difficulty is low> convert to a stable coin every day> pick newest coin possible…

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Should I pay more to get the bigger memory card (1060 3GB vs 6GB version)? on: February 28, 2018, 05:58:36 PM
I am building my next rig, based on 1060 cards. I am having trouble in deciding if I should spend some more on the 6GB version.

It is my understanding that 3GB is mostly problematic when mining Ethereum which I don't, I prefer to mine Equihash coins .

So is there a reason to pay extra for the 6GB card?
4  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does Binance have only 4 base currency? on: February 23, 2018, 04:21:43 PM
But what is the difference between going"
LTC to ETH and convert the ETH to ZEC VS
LTC to BNB and convert the BNB to ZEC?

In both cases I do 2 conversions and pay twice the standard fee, or am I wrong?

In regards to Shapeshift, it is my understanding that the fees are higher and the price you can get on Binance is better.
5  Economy / Exchanges / Does Binance have only 4 base currency? on: February 23, 2018, 03:08:54 PM
All I see is the option for BTC,ETH,BNB and USDT based pairs.

What I mean is lets say I have some Litecoin and I want to convert it into Zcash I don't see any direct way doing this.

Is the only option is convert LTC to ETH (or BTC, BNB and USDT) and convert the ETH to ZEC?

And if this is the case is there another exchange with similar trade volume and fees that has more currency bases?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the cheapest way to convert between coins? on: February 21, 2018, 12:23:52 AM
So far, I find the cheapest way to convert between coins is on an exchange. Bittrex and Binance offer a lot of options.

Bittrex is closed for registration https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003463331 and Binance charge about $10+ to windrow form the site to a wallet

Lets say I have Ethereum stored in my local wallet and I want to convert it to Zcash or any other coin and transfer it to my local wallet.

Where would I get the most accurate coins price and the lowest fees. What will be the cheapest option?

Plus It would be nice not to go trough a long verification process

I used shapeshift in the past and I like how it works (no need to register) but I am not sure about how accurate are the coins prices and how low the fees.
