Any of you interested in SBC, please take a look at this posting on the local forum and watch it for updates if it's something of interest. Opportunity to support a project thats doing something similar to LocalBitCoins and option to get SBC integrated into it. Read caveats please as I'm just posting it to raise awareness. For anyone that missed it on here, there is a 48 hour donation push for a LocalBitCoins equivalent project to build SBC into something that's already being developed for Quark and Earthcoin. Full details, basis and risks in linked post on SBC forum above. So far it's received 3 donations and at almost 24 hours into the 48 hours not sure we're showing the developer there is a big SBC community out there! He works from donations, so hoping if we can show there are plenty of people interested with donations, even if small ones, it shows there would be an interest from the community in having SBC on the platform. May not be for everyone but at least I thought I'd raise it's profile. Normal disclaimers apply. Has been posted on here, local SBC forum and subreddit. Last chance I'll get to do a reminder so hope it at least gets read if nothing else PLEASE DONT DONATE - DETAILS POSTED IN LINKED POST ABOVE AND WILL BE UPDATED IF INFO FOUNDJust updated this earlier post with bit in RED. Will keep main post on local SBC forum updated if I find out more. Hello, I have been PM'd by oncebitcoinedtwiceshy to explain a bit the situation. I am currently working on the Earthcoin and Quark only exchange. During the last weeks I've received lots of PM's by alt-coin developers for working on a site for their alt-coin. A lot of them have tryed campaigns like oncebitcoinedtwiceshy is doing for SBC. Some of them didn't get any donation (FZ, Nxt) so I am not working on them. SBC is a coin that I personally contacted the developer (artos) to try to get some support but never got a reply. To show I am not a scammer, I have just sent all the received donations to the SBC development fund (shQpTvLDsgCURkfqyBuCjL79aqYwti2FEJ) and they will be released when project is finished. WIll update soon when I have more news. Thank you to the SBC community for support. Cheers, Gus +over 9000 for you mate I personally can't wait to see the result

difficulty broke twice...broke forever.
unless you haven't read OP and can't wait until block 317000 According to my calculations and with the current network hashrate, the new difficulty algorithm will kick in around: 6-01-14 2:30 AM! (CET) It is now 3-1-2014 12:15 CET Average block time: 342 seconds Block until 317000: 592 592*342/3600=56,24 hours ETA block 317000: 5-1-2014 20:30 CET Hmm, I calculated with an avg block time of 375 seconds. Saw the hashrate drop slowly over the last days, so I guess it will be more likely to see it happening on the 6th.

Bump, currently mining with Stablecoin version 1.5 at sbc.cryptoculture.net
Make sure everyone you are running version 1.5 and that your mining pools are up to date.
Well the blockchain is still on version 1.4 until it hits block 317000. No reason not to update...last time during the update from version 1.3 to 1.4 it caused quite some chaos among the miners, because their pools didn't perform the update yet. Lots of miners ended up wasting mining power in the wrong branch.

StableCoin has disappered from cryptsy balances but the SBC market is still online. What's going on?
Same here where my coins gone. My coins are there. The market is open. You can buy/sell. But, SBC is missing from the balance. Also, I transferred 2000 SBC to my son as a present yesterday and they have still not confirmed Crypsty is most likely waiting for the new v1.5 on block 317000 before adding it again. This to make sure the same issues, like after the last fork, won't happen again.

<posting mode=nice>Stablecoin (SBC) should just fit into that list of new coins you want to add if someone were to ask on behalf of the SBC community very nicely. It's been running sometime, has got an active dev on it, a growing subreddit, some community projects starting and has been added to two other exchanges in the last 2 weeks (making 3 exchanges in total). It'd be great if I could post over on the SBC thread that we'd just got onto another exchange.....waiting and watching. </mode> +1 for this!

The right branch right now is the one with a diff of 5.255, meaning that if your pool is running an other diff, you're wasting mining power EDIT: looks like the diff just jumped up to 5.38! ( http://sbc.blockexplorer.io/chain/Stablecoin)

I'm watching the market cap and value of this coin plummet below what I thought possible. What's happening here? <800k and now valued at 6 cents.
Have you taken a look at the other coins? Bitcoin and Litecoin are dropping like flies atm

The mixing service will come when it's ready. There's a lot to tackle on not only on the developmental side, but also with testing and deployment. I also have to deal with promotion, management, and a multitude of other things associated with the coin in general. I encourage you to get involved in these things if you want to see the coin grow faster.
The only hard timeline is to have it ready before nightmares like CoinValidation become a reality.
Agreed, nothing ever should come out until it's ready, and at the same time some kind of estimated timeline (not a hardtimeline) be it Q1, Q2 of 2014 is not to much to ask for, otherwise its essentially just pie in the sky. Is it just you right now working on the mixing service or is there a team? I sincerely am sorry for whatever issues you've had to deal with during your 5 month absence and your entitled to your privacy, and at the same time is there a current team in place that can continue this project without you, should some god forbid unforeseeable event take place, that would force your absence again, or are you currently the sole developer right now? I phrase this not as an attack on you and I think this coin has great potential, just asking this so we can get a clear map view of what's needed in terms of development and some kind of time frame, and also to way the risk management needed if sbc's development is to be primarily reliant on one person versus a team of developers.I fully agree with this comment. I believe there are enough people in the community that would love to help out if you are on your own. As you can see for yourself, there are some that are working on ideas to give the coin the popularity it deserves.
