Just wondering if anyone else has got any NMC payouts lately?
I used to get a payout approx. once every two days.  I have not recieved one since the 9th.
I did have to re-input my NMC address after it was cleared out.
Thanks
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Setting Up Antminer S1 with Wi-Fi Antenna on: March 01, 2014, 04:42:04 PM
I'm having issues setting up the wifi to the antminer. I have factory reset the unit twice, and followed the set up exact both times.
I have a wifi antenna attached also. I also have 3 other ants running wifi, it's just the new on I received yesterday that's no working.

Plugged in Ethernet loged in 192.168.1.99
Changed Wan to DHCP
Save and apply, Reboot

Log into 192.168.1.8
Selected network tab, scan, and this is what it reads,

97%    Neighbors
Channel: 1 | Mode: Master | BSSID: 00:18:E7:E6:3E:24 | Encryption: mixed WPA/WPA2 - PSK

Click Join, enter wpa, change network name to Neighbors, Submit
Then it goes to general setup

    [Signal: 0 dBm / Noise: 0 dBm]
0%    Mode: Unknown | SSID: Neighbors
BSSID: 00:18:E7:E6:3E:24 | Encryption: -
Channel: 11 (0.000 GHz) | Tx-Power: 0 dBm
Signal: 0 dBm | Noise: 0 dBm
Bitrate: 0.0 Mbit/s | Country: US

Click save and apply
Then I reboot without Ethernet cable, and no wifi

Miner runs great with Ethernet,

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thank you,

Thank you for your replies,
I understand the stat info now much better than before.
I appreciate the explanation in detail.
I do read quite a bit, but this fourm gets so many posts to read everything or even try to skip the spam.

I've bee watching my shares according to the stats page.
I was wondering why my miner keeps switching from block to block?
Sometimes the miner stay's with a block for hours and sometimes it's just minutes even though there are still confirmations left.
Would someone be able to explain?
I was under the understanding the longer you stay the better the payout?

If I was to invest that kind of cash, I would strongly consider a scrypt asic.

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BFL current gen ASICs price drop on: January 12, 2014, 04:56:55 PM
This makes me sick. According to their site they had units ready to ship on Dec 11. So I jumped in and ordered a 25 gh unit as they were one of the only company's offering units IN STOCK ready to ship.
Now here we are 3 weeks later and the unit is still at the production facility. I opted for express shipping and still the unit sits. Now I get an email giving the option to double the size for less money? Wow am I frustrated.
I would recommend not ordering from BFL get on a another list somewhere as they will deliver around the same time. Looking like March

I finally received the BFL unit on 9 Jan 2014 . Now I'm messing with the setup, started mining, and setting up wallets. Now I'm trying to show proof to the boss "wife" this actually works. So I can get the go ahead to purchase a larger mining unit.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Is my wallet safe? on: January 12, 2014, 03:51:00 PM
I have been searching the fourm for the answer to this question. Sorry if the answer is here and I haven't found it.
Here is the situation, I currently have an online bitcoin-qt wallet that I scan and update data every few days. I also have a wallet.dat backed up on a usb that is encrypted and has a passphrase.
I currently have bitcoins sent to the encrypted wallet on the usb from the mining pool.
Does this keep the coins safe?
To use coins I would swap the the dat files to access usb encrypted wallet. That is stored offine.
Does this work or will it work? Pretty new to this.
Or should one have coins sent to encryped online wallet then transfer to another encrypted wallet backup stored on a usb?
Thank you in advance,
