So you say:
1) Sold pin on BIOS chip;
2) Turn windows on (i've read Dos is better, should i use it?);
3) Flash the original bios;
4) Turn off system.
5) unsold.

Am i right?

1) Solder wire between pin 1-8 on BIOS chip(suggest that you check your BIOS chip datasheet in case its a different chip, you need to turn CS high(to positive/VCC) in order to disable BIOS);
2) Turn windows on;
3) When windows finished booting, clip of the wire(now the BIOS will be enabled, but GPU will not read content from it)
3) Flash the original bios;
4) Turn off system.
5) unsold.

I have done this but just held a paper clip in place until into windows then removed it, flashed orig bios and rebooted worked fine.
Just need to hold the clip in place without moving for 20 seconds or so.

Im to stubborn to sell off at a loss, so HODL for me is easy Smiley

It is sad to see 50-70% loss in my portfolio but im confident in the coins i invested in and confident in blockchain tech, with that in mind IMO there is no way this downward trend wont reverse.

Just got to HODL a little longer

Well 10 ETN a day to me means that..

10x 365 days = 3650 x current ATH = 0.15P = £548 a year?

That current ATH happened with only 1 exchange and nowhere near the user base it has now.

Im aware to even myself im sounding like some kind of ETN defender or Fanboy which im neither just dont get why so many people are so down on the project all the time.

If sombody said to me leave a phone on for 1 year and ill give you £500 id leave the phone on?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is electroneum worth it? on: March 22, 2018, 02:22:58 PM
I'd be careful with electroneum. They got $40 million worth during their ICO but they ended up launching a failed network where miners took advantage of early profits that were supposed to be for investors. Also take into consideration that there are now cryptonight ASICs but unlike Monero they have not announced any forks or updates to combat these. They probably don't have a good technical team and don't know how to do it.

Sorry that's incorrect - if you watch the Q&A with Richard the owner of Electroneum he states on 2 separate occasions they will follow Monero with a fork.
You can find it on youtube or on there social media pages.

I dont understand the failed network bit tbh? But I only started following them in Jan and yes coin price is down and they have had a recent outage which was bad form, but i dont see that as a failed network. Watch the video, there seems to be a load of good things in the pipe line, also everyone of the Q1 targets/roadmap have been met -

5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How deal with bullies at work? on: March 21, 2018, 11:40:04 AM
Bullies are cowards, if its verbal bullying, study and outwit them, make them look the inferior person in their peer group, watch lots of standup comedy to get ideas of how to roast them.

If its physical get in the gym and develop yourself, that will have more benefits than just keeping the bully away i.e. health benefits, confidence boost and you will look better and be stronger.

1st day of my new job the local "Funny/big man" tried to put me down, not in a nasty way but definitely not in a welcome to the company way, trying to mark his Territory..

"Your quite, dont you talk? are we too intimidating?" 3 of them stood around me, i stood up calmly walked to the guy doing the talking and said, "Sorry what was that?" while looking right in his eyes...

All i had to do, he went bright red, mumbled, stuttered and walked off.

Hes one of my good mates now - funny how it works out..

Im 100% sure if i crumbled and went red/said nothing id be the object of ridicule to this day...

I have trained in the gym for 12 years so that probably helped, but they are all the same - stand up they run.

Dont let them win by moving on.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is electroneum worth it? on: March 21, 2018, 11:00:08 AM
You wont get rich from it but it doesnt drain battery or use bandwidth from what i understand its a simulation of mining.
So why not?

Its just free coins in essence.

Currently worth 0.02 so based on 3 ETN a day thats what 63p a week?

But nobody knows the price of ETN in the future i think its ATH so far has been 0.18 still not loads, but they have 70,000 mobile miners and over 1,000,000 registered users at the moment. I'm confident the price will increase but no idea by how much..way i see it if you can set it up in 5 min and leave it run then why not. If its a hassle then maybe not bother..

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining , still worth it? on: March 20, 2018, 10:32:24 AM
I have 10 cards mining, was pulling over 900 a month with minus 120 for electric now only 250 a month minus 120 for electric.

Im just HODL all mining proceeds and hoping come end of summer it will be a decent amount for a holiday...

I have a load of coins bought that im HODL long term..

So still profitable for me but with todays GPU cost if your looking for ROI it will be ages!

Personally I don't think we have come anywhere near close to seeing the full potential of Bitcoin or Blockchain technology.

With the current down trend at the moment the coin values may drop and continue todo so, but the value of the technology behind them i believe will increase and increase, which ultimately will lead to more adoption over time which will inevitably lead to coin value increase the more people that adopt the technology..

I believe this is still a pioneering stage for Bitcoin/Blockchain - I work in a large scale technical environment and 99.99% of the people i work with have no idea of Bitcoin or Blockchain and just dismiss both as a "Scam".
When you consider the general public as opposed to technically minded people obviously adoption/investment will be even less and people harder to convince.

Allot of people have jumped on the bandwagon seeing Bitcoin/Blockchain as get rich quick and are now panic selling, spreading panic all over social media about the "bubble burst" or "end of bitcoin".

My personal opinion is there is allot more potential and many many more applications that have yet to be realised on the horizon. We just need to ignore the FUD and have patients.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ELECTRONEUM MOBILE MINING APP RELEASE! on: March 09, 2018, 09:29:16 AM
Yes people are reporting 9hs to 49hs i think on their phones.

Its not going to make you rich but it is essentially money for nothing - for some people earning low amounts it is expected to help.

But then there is also the argument if they are only earning $1 a day how do they have a new S8 running the mining app...

IMO i think the app is mainly to raise awareness of cryptocurrency & get more people involved in the crypto world - which is a great thing!

Apparently there has been over 100,000 downloads so far..

Some people have also mentioned if back in 2008 there was a free app to mine BTC that got you only 0.08 BTC a day, we would complain only 0.08!!
But fast forward to today and even with BTC down 0.08 is £500..

Not comparing ETN to BTC just making a point that in the future it could be worth alot more than today..

I think my 2 rigs (11 cards) mining electroneum direct will only get my $5 a day so cant expect a phone to mine a meaningful amount.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 on: March 07, 2018, 09:39:20 AM
The gtx 1070 is my main display.

If you have onboard GPU i would swap to that - helped my 570 a fair amount.

I was getting 29MH then 8MH then 29MH then 8MH so effectively every other "Hash report" from claymore was loosing 2/3 Hash on the card.

Swapped to display as IGPU and now solid 29MH.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Adding AMD to Nidvia rig on: March 07, 2018, 09:15:37 AM
I'm running Windows 10 with 5x AMD 570 1x1070 and 1X 1080

All run ok but as others said the OC tools seem hit or miss.

Afterburner will not detect any AMD cards so i use OverdrivenTool for AMD and EVGA tool for the Nvidia.

1 annoyance i have is if there is a driver issue and you run DDU then you need to reinstall 2 sets..Nothing major though.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 on: March 06, 2018, 12:17:51 PM
Do you use any of them as your display card?

I found using the IGPU increased the speed of the card that was being used as a display card.

If you dont use a display i had to purchase a dummy HDMI plug to force the IGPU to think it connected incase you teamviewer into the box or RDP.

Im not sure at which point, i dont think its 2 cards in same system you will need to change the PCIE settings to Gen 1 or 2 in the BIOS.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 on: March 06, 2018, 10:14:46 AM
Hey, i use Afterburner & set 75% power 500+ mem 50+core.

I get 490-500 SOL on equihash.

Without changing the settings i get 506 SOL.

so I loose 6 SOL for 25% power - good trade off IMO.

Is this your only card?

Cheers
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ELECTRONEUM MOBILE MINING APP RELEASE! on: March 05, 2018, 01:26:46 PM
I thought the app only came out today? How have you had it for 5/6 days? Or did you manage to get in on the Beta?

They have said that the profit will be "nominal" for the western world..

Once the mobile operators accept ETN as payment it will still be a % off your mobile bill for no work..

I dont think anybody can expect large amounts of ETN from a single phone, my whole setup can only get 100 coins a day (10 GPU's)

Thanks for the tip on restarting the App regular, wonder if there is a way to automate that on android...

I have Apple but will get the wife to install the miner on her android and have a look this evening.

Also very excited for this.. been a long time follower/holder of ETN.

Started mining Nov/Dec then when difficulty jumped switched to Nicehash and used profits to buy the coins.

Lots of FUD and haters for ETN, i know they have missed many deadline and the recent outage but hopefully this release will go ahead and silence so of the haters.

Fingers crossed!

I hope it could be listed to kucoin asap. 😊

Yup - there was a lot of talk over the weekend the delay was to ensure the "Bad Block" fix they put in place worked ok as that would be a nightmare for exchanges if it failed while on the exchange.... ALthough there was a problem at least ots overcombe now so hopfuly the exchanges will take up ETN.. 8% rise today not bad..
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which coin is the best to Solo-Mine ? on: March 05, 2018, 12:36:36 PM
Just some maybe outside the box thinking... could you download nicehash - run the benchmark tool on one card and look at those results and base it on that?

Might be a bad idea but thought id share! Smiley

Hi Guys, if it helps anybody...got the rig running at same speeds but only using 850W now - thats 1/3 decrease - £30-35

Those 2 cards that are playing up i have running stock clock (otherwise a crash) but only 650Mv on core and memory

Others are running at 850MV core and 900MV memory 1100Mhz/2100MHz

Used the overdriveNtool for the tweaking.

Nvidia cards i have at 80% power target (Msi Burner) and 500MHZ mem OC.
