You don't like pre-mined coins. Good for you. Moving on. Is there a way to measure the total hashes per sec being processed by the client at the moment? I have 3 rigs working at the moment and they all send their work to a single Graincoin-qt client. The problem is with minerd (CPU). It displays hashes per sec for each thread and it is impossible to keep tabs of all 3 CPUs and the attached GPUs. edit: Removed wrong quote.

I'm ok with devs premining a small amount. Working for free is simply stupid. With that out of the way, how lucky have you all been while mining solo? I'm just mining with my 2 GPUs at around 550 kh/s. Been lucky these 2 days. I'm getting a block every 90 to 120 minutes.

Is it me or the download links for the new client are broken? I can't get the new client. Since I haven't been able to update, can anyone tell me if the new update fixes any of the annoyances like being unable to mine while the wallet is locked or disappearing orphan blocks? I'd like to know when I get orphaned blocks, too. Besides yellow, gold and purple the mined icons, are there any others?

The wallet will not show if you are mining if you are using cgminer. If cgminer says its working, then you should just wait. Its just luck. Try to find altcoins with less than 1 difficulties so you can actually get something. You can also try mining Primecoins with your CPU at the same time. Other low difficulty altcoins like CraftCoins have a very variable difficulty. CraftCoins' difficulty sometimes drops bellow 0.1 an you might get lucky. With your low hashrates you might want to consider P2Pools but if you want to go solo, then I really wish you good luck.

Primecoin - I managed to mine 2 blocks solo in a week. You can also try joining P2Pools. You won't get much but you will get something. CraftCoin seems good, but with a CPU it might be a little slow. The difficulty sometimes drops under 1 so you might be able to get something.
