We are waiting for Hard fork stopping masternodes payments:

Based on the post 11 minutes later by eduffield, didn't the fork go into effect already? https://darkcointalk.org/threads/fork-to-stop-masternode-payments.883/#post-5321

Indeed. Sadly, This morning I didn't have much time for fighting DRK forks.

I updated pool's drk wallet.

DRK pool is up and running again.

No worries, thanks for getting it up and running again.

Why would people go to a pool that is involved in theft? any exchange that just "takes" coins from people is stealing.  While exchanges could do things like limit deposit frequency, or maximum deposit size to limit the ability to dump at a certain price, outright stealing the coins and giving to others will cause a major backlash and could get them in legal hot water.

What legal hot water?  Who are they going to complain to?

As long as there is a big bold notice put on the front screen that any deposits discovered to come from multipool mining will be confiscated, then where is the problem.

Just give the coins to legitimate holders and screw the multipools.  They have been screwing the altcoin market for long enough, its about time drastic action were taken to screw them.  Its not as if the exchanges will lose out - the coins will still be mined, they will still be traded, so they wont lose commission.  They will just be preventing a dump from multipools.

OK - how about this for a question....

If you now have 5M LEAF, would you rather have it on an exchange where you fear that a multipool dump could drop the value, or would you rather they be on an exchange that will not allow a multipool dump?  I know where I would rather trade.  I'd rather trade somewhere that a coin could rise and fall naturally without the fear of a massive incoming dump of coins.

The multipools have anough coins in the last 2-3 hours to drop this to 19 satoshi from 27 in a blink of an eye.  So how safe would people feel about buying at 27?   Thats what keeps the values low.  Just watch what happens when these coins get dumped..  Hashcows manager will make a decent cut, exchange owner will make decent commission and the miners left will have a low price and a stupid high difficulty....

Stealing property is theft, and if you really want cryptocurrencies to be recognized as an actual currency by the world at large, then the same laws need to apply for them to be generally accepted by society.  If I deposited $100,000 to e-trade and then they decided they didn't like me, they cannot legally then just give that money to other people using their service and say "sorry, we don't like people who deposit money for x reason."

The multipools could easily complain to the authorities in their country and/or the country where the exchange is based.  Even if they had a disclaimer like you suggest they could not just "take" the money, they could refuse to let them trade it if it is deposited, and give them their funds back, but they can't just take the money.

Hashcows is mining LEAF... it was fun while it lasted. Sad

And no doubt others too.  No way it grows like that without others on it.

There are only two exchanges that allow trade in the sort of volumes that these pools are mining.   The power to stop these is in the hands of the exchanges.

However, these pools are not going to hold coins, they are going to dump them.  Its what they do with every coin, so value of this could possibly reach 100 satoshi naturally, but by allowing the multipools on, its killing the value and keeping it low.

My vote would be to add gravity well now, as the exchanges dont seem bothered about helping the communities they rely on.  All they want is the exchange fees, if that comes from hundreds of honest miners working for the good of a coin, or just one big fat dump from a multipool they couldnt give a sh*t.   It would be very easy to spot an account dumping the sort of voluimes that these multipools are accumulating, so it would be easy to ban them or confiscate coins and give to the other investors.   That would put the multipools off.  All there needs to be is a threat posted on each exchange that multipool deposist if discovered will be confiscated, and watch how quickly those multipools will drop mining the coin.

I can honestly see no reason what so ever why an exchange would not do this.

As Ive said, if anyone has the coding knowledge to build an exchange like coinmarket, Im happy to pay for all hardware required to host it, and I would happily confiscate coins from multipools and givve back to the other holders.  Lets see where most people would go to to trade coins if they think they are protected from multipool dumps.

https://www.coinmarket.io/market/LEAFBTC

This is main exchange for now I think.
And works better than coinedup.
Look at https://www.coinmarket.io/market/LEAFBTC and then at https://coinedup.com/OrderBook?market=LEAF&base=BTC  Wink

coinmarket.io over coinedup.com any time of the day!
so much faster! the layout is usable. coinedup is a pit of lags

CoinMarket.io is definitely the main exchange right now, considering speed, volume and buy support.
Thanks for all the action! It has been a journey (coinmarket.io is now 2 weeks old).

1.5MH/s of hashcows on it.  Incoming dump alert....
This is why the coinmarket exchange needs to take action against this sort of thing, just identify the pool deposits and confiscate them.

By delaying the release of our Trade API and other API's, we are throttling down the dumps from multipools.
But thats about all we can do. We cant confiscate somebodys coins.

Btw: will anybody mind if we raise fees to 0.15%? We need to expand the team fast Smiley

I'm sure people will "mind" the fee raise, since it cuts into their profits, but it should also be completely supported by the community in order to keep your exchange running.  a fee of 0.15% is still smaller then fees for most coints on Cryptsy, you may loose some action to CoinedUp with their 0 Fees, but really 0.15% is so minimal most people shouldn't notice it.

Anyone else having issues with Hash.so pool? it started showing my hashrate as 0, yet when I look at CGMiner it is clearly submitting shares to the pool.  Seems to have started about 40 minutes ago.

Yes, I have the same problem. Not sure what is going on. Just noticed it. I did get a payment about 40 minutes ago so it was working ok at that point. Hopefully just a front end problem.

I have switched pools a little bit ago, to see if I get credited for that time I was mining and wasn't showing up on the page.  If it does I will switch back, at that time.

Ok sounds good.  I trust your good business.

Just that a lot of us have been getting inactive worker email notifications constantly, then the hashrates frequently reporting 30% lower than it should be for the past few days.  Want to make sure our workers aren't getting kicked.  cgminer shows constant mining.

Ok, do you have hardware errors?
Also the pool was under ddos attack last week. I've ordered a ddos protected server yesterday. Was going to implement it today but then i had the double payout issue which has the main priority because i had to halt the payouts.

Try my new server, instead of using "stratum-eu.dgb.luckyminers.com" try "srv4.luckyminers.com".
It's the new server in testing! Smiley See if that helps with the hashrate..

Is that the same port as stratum-eu?  Also any chance for a US based server?

I'm using http://dgb.luckyminers.com and tried to cash out, after i clicked the button i realized i hadn't put my payment address in the box. When i entered it and then went to cash out again it says "You already have one active manual payout request" will the pool owner be able to fix this?

We had this happening yesterday. I've just got home and auto payments stopped about 11 am GMT and manual payments are not working  Sad

Me too...  or is it me three  Huh

I can see them building up on my dashboard, so not too concerned...  its kind of nice to see a large chunk of coins turn up when the bottlenecks clear...!

I am sorting this out right now. I had to stop the payments. Some users we're getting double, triple etc payouts and they didnt get debited in their account. I'm investigating the malicous transactions and adding them to the DB, when it is done all payments will be resumed.

Yeah I was one of those affected, got a double payment.

You can see the two transactions here:

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] Crycurex.com exchange on: January 22, 2014, 06:54:27 PM
As has been stated during this initial very early stage of the beta, the dev is manually confirming all deposits, so that is why they are limiting wallets, to limit the number of deposits, they did say later that soon they will allow automatic depositing (meaning more wallets), they just want to make sure everything is working right.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] Crycurex.com exchange on: January 22, 2014, 05:53:29 PM
So is the sell fee supposed to be in BTC or in COYE/CRN/LOT/MRC? I am sure there is a sell fee paid in CRN/MRC at the moment (sice I've traded it myself). It's difficult to recalculate my BTC balance, but based on the sell fields there is a fee in BTC as well (market pages, below the graph, above your orders).

Fees are ok ... Idont see problem there

For those who has pending deposit .. (about 20 users) ... If you want I refund you money to your wallets.

Withdrawals are processed, it may take 1-2 hours to process ... so please be careful

Deposits are limited now.

Sorry for inconveciences Wink

Is it really that hard to answer my question? In what currency are we supposed to pay sell fees? It's either BTC or COYE/CRN/LOT/MRC or maybe even both! No, "fees are ok" is not an answer to my question.

Although your answer could've helped me a lot, I did recalculate my BTC balance myself... And you are right, there are no double fees. The only sell fees are in COYE/CRN/LOT/MRC. But to be honest, this is not really clear from the market interface. The auto-calculated fields with fee and total BTC suggest fees are in BTC. In reality you do receive the calculated gross total, not the calculated net total.

So, in order to make this clear to everyone:

Please, change this sell box, as it is very confusing. (or change the fees so the box is correct)

poeple do not know what does beta mean!! lol
Guess you are one of them. And if, but only if, the owners don't care about substantive comments and substantive questions they belong to the same group.

Usually when selling the fees are taken out after the trade is made from your "profit", this is taking it out ahead of time on top of your sell amount which is just confusing if used to trading elsewhere.  It isn't an "issue" per se, just a different way of doing that I was not aware of, and as you said since it isn't taking it out of the profit, the fee should be referred to in the traded currency.

A feature I would like is to see is withdrawl history, showing each time when you withdrew, how much, and where too.

Also a "bug" that I noticed is that the menu on the left shows Sign Out on every page, except when I am on the blog page, just seems kind of disjointed to not have it appear on that one page.

Good suggestion for the withdrawal history.

As far as the blog page thing goes, they are kind of 2 distinct portions of our website with different rights. We blended the templating styling to match between the blog and actual hashbros website so it appears to be one in the same. It's a hack for now, but we'll eventually get the sign out button on the blog as well, just low priority right now.

For the blog page I had kind of wondered if that is what it was (looked to see if it was a subdomain or something first to see if that explained it), that is fine, not a huge issue or anything, just noticed it.

What do you guys want to see in a profitability page / calculator?

Being able to "modify" your hashrate to show how much you may earn would be nice, also being able to see what you would earn in usd, btc, ltc and other coins and maybe enter your own time interval or select from a drop down hourly, daily, weekly, etc.  Also showing calculated profitability and then showing what the pool has actually earned on it and maybe what percentage (or minutes/hours) of the past 24 hours the pool has spent mining it.

crycurex.com A new exchange launched today (still kind of rough for deposits, they are manually validating each one right now so they are limiting deposits) has the ability to submit a coin to Vote to add, I submitted FOX, hopefully it will get added.

Just an FYI round 1305 still shows in my latest rounds list.

Noted, we are aware its still an issue. Just low priority for now. We're pretty stumped but we can easily find a hacky way to remove it from your page.

No problem, just wanted to make sure you were still aware, I imagine it would be low priority and it can stay there, doesn't bother me at all.

Hey miners.

http://foxcoin.morehash.com is getting near the 51% mark

United-Miners is close as well, together they are around 80% of the network (44% and 36%)
