1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and altcoin: Who will take control of the market? on: June 05, 2018, 12:43:20 PM
Ethereum has a very good chance of finishing in the top 5 in the next 10 years. The trading volumes in the last 5 years have increased over 10% which is crazy in a decentralisation system. 20 years ago all coins were unimaginable, so in 10 years from now you will see the top 5 performing coins on the market controlling the market.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think if Facebook releases its coin? on: May 16, 2018, 09:36:31 AM
With Facebook controlling a lot of the way people get their information. It will definitely be a strong coin. I’m excited for the updates on this. This may bring crypto to the mainstream once they realease the coin.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government and Bitcoin on: May 12, 2018, 05:39:05 PM
I think the number of money that’s has come into the market in just 2017 alone is staggering. No government can ignore that.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why the crypto is dropping again? on: May 09, 2018, 06:32:24 AM
I thought the market is recovering, but BTC and most of alt coins are dropping again today.
Should I sell my coins?

Volatility is the name of the game. I think its going slightly flat as many are waiting for the NewYork consensus conference. In years past this is where allot of news comes out so I think people are waiting in the wings. Add to that the non show of the sec meeting on ethereum.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook is launching a new team dedicated to the blockchain. on: May 09, 2018, 06:27:41 AM
I think facebook after the recent data handling scandal are realising they are becoming irrelevant. Its becoming fashionable to delete your facebook where I live in the UK. Its funny though because only now is my granny starting to use it!! It took our family years of persuading. I can see it becoming another wing of the dinosaur media in more ways than one.
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why US is the most powerful country in world ? on: May 08, 2018, 08:46:46 PM
After the second world war, US became the most powerful country in the modern world. With nuclear weapons, space explore, big scientific progress. But what can be the reason for this huge power ? Military power ? Strong economy ? Diversity in society ? Or something else ?

I think it has allot to do with the military capabilities. When you consider the fact that their military expenditure is greater than all other major powers put together its not hard to see how they secure their success. Add to that the dollar is the worlds reserve currency and it is illegal to buy oil in any other currency other than $ and you have a recipe for success. All the innovation follows
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What stage of adoption is Crypto currently at? on: May 08, 2018, 08:44:10 PM
Id still say we are in the early adopters phase to be honest. If you think about it there still isn't even regulation in the space. A good analogy for me to describe where we are at is when you have an American football game, its common practice to have BBQs before the start of the match. This is where we are.

The rules of the game still are yet to be outlined (the regulations)

And the players playing the game still haven't arrived. (No project minus bitcoin and maybe ethereum are guaranteed to still be relevant in a few years)
8  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin in developing countries on: May 07, 2018, 03:22:49 PM
Firstly, the only thing that has always been causing inflation is the manipulated and monopolized Fiat system.

Secondly, bitcoin is a deflationary currency. So, I leave you to do the maths!

Yes and the term of this institutionalised Ponzi scheme is quantitative easing coupled with the dollar coming off the gold standard. How they have gotten away with it for so long beggars belief!!
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 90 percent correction in 'mass market wipe out,' investment bank warns on: May 03, 2018, 11:57:32 AM

I do not know what motivates people to make claims like this:

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/05/02/cryptocurrencies-heading-towards-90-percent-correction-investment-bank-warns.html

Thank you CNBC ( FUD FACTORY)

CNBC although as pro a crypto news organisation as you will find it is still full of institutional actors and corporate player and to put it simply its this system that is threatened by the rise of crypto and bitcoin specifically. And if its not that then its probably they don't have the foresight to see the potential. They are all children of warren buffet that think bricks and mortar are the only sound investment.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "First they ignore us, then they laugh at us, then they fight us, then we win" on: April 28, 2018, 11:07:19 PM
Andreas antonopolos is without doubt one of the best voices in the space. The way he uses metaphors to explain concepts makes it a great introduction for beginners. Even veterans could do with going back to his books for ways of explaining things to newcomers. We can tend to forget how daunting all the new technological concepts may be to outsiders and a voice that can transition between the two is extremely valuable
11  Economy / Economics / Re: How will crypto go long term? on: April 26, 2018, 09:30:04 AM
Even if it doesn't go far, blockchain will change our world forever in the coming years. I'm talking about implementation into government, retail etc.

I can see that definitely. The Dubai government is already introducing it into the way they do government. They have seen the potential. I do think the currency part will also prosper though, its going to bank the unbanked and unbanked the banked at the same time!
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin fees on: April 26, 2018, 09:27:28 AM
Lighting network uses 'state channels'. Its basically a network for people to make secure transactions without having to upload every single transaction on to the blockchain. It won't become successful overnight as it is a protocol which means its success relies on adoption but we are already at 2000 nodes and only a month into the main net being launched!

If successful fees will be as little as 1 satoshi making the IOT possible. it could change our relationship with money. Streaming money would then be a possibility! this is hundreds of sub 1cent payments a second. You could get paid by your boss per minuet live into your bank account
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: $50,000 Bitcoin In The Next Couple Of Months? on: April 26, 2018, 09:23:22 AM
May be in a couple of years but definitely not in months, there is allot to do yet. Lots of people still unknown about the advantages of Bitcoin. If everyone starts accepting it then we may see that price sooner.

I completely agree. There have been a few price optimistic price predictions coming out recently. Its amazing to see how quick sentiment can shift. I do think there is allot of work still to be done to get the true value of bitcoin understood by the masses. At the moment I think the average retail investor just sees it as a way to make a quick buck
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the digital dollar on: April 26, 2018, 09:20:42 AM
I think that it is difficult to compare these two. It's the same when we say that bitcoin is digital gold, by my opinion it is not correct to compare all these things.

I think you semi can compare them. They both have a limited supply, both are hedges against the system, both have tons of libertarians supporting. If your in possession of gold or bitcoin you are actually own it and have full control (as long as not held in an exchange) so they share real ownership.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: e-commerce websites that accept bitcoin as a payment method? on: April 22, 2018, 07:48:35 PM
overstock accept bitcoin, I think they're the biggest at the moment. Although I have been reading that amazon are also considering this. That would be absolutely massive for the growth of the space. Imaging having the option to spend your bitcoin on anything listed on amazon! the days of struggling to spend your crypto would be coming to an end
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where to sell tokens? on: April 20, 2018, 09:15:42 AM
If you are looking to sell millions, then liquidity is important and bittrex is great for volume.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is a good crypto exchange for a new utility coin to be listed on? on: April 19, 2018, 10:13:29 AM
Binance would be the best for me. they have a really good weeding out process for coins. There have been a few dodgy coins listed but they are soon sussed out. I think along with binance, maybe bittex just for sheer volume but their reputation for having good quality tokens is lacking. I must add both are extremely difficult to get onto
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the world’s 6th largest currency on: April 18, 2018, 05:03:04 PM
I didn't know that. Very interesting. I do know that it consumes more electricity than allot of countries! its in the top 40 for energy consumption, beating off countries as big as Ireland! Im not saying this as a negative. I actually think its think huge expenditure of resources that make bitcoin what it is. POW all the way for me.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't worry, the market will not fall forever. on: April 18, 2018, 04:57:26 PM
There does seem to be a shift in sentiment atm. This sentiment is as volatile as there price though so I'm not sure how long it will last. haha long term I am very confident though
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Volatility A Bad Thing? on: April 17, 2018, 08:59:19 PM
I think any new asset in its price discovery stage is prone to volatility. I count myself lucky to be involved when its still so volatile. Lets me know I'm relatively early to the game. When the volatility subsides I think we will all loose our daily endorphin fixes when observing the market
