Announcement

http://holms.cloudapp.net:6874/ hosts test version of NRS with enabled Asset Exchange. U can play with APIs here. PM me if u find any bugs, plz.

NB: Don't use ur real account on the testnet. If u need some test coins then ask Klee for that, he is supposed to send the coin coz this server is provided by him me to send u some coins.

Created test account 8924337211645917529.  I don't see anything exchange related in the UI, is it only API based currently?

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Release 0.5.9:

http://download.nxtcrypto.org/nxt-client-0.5.9.zip

sha256: 35e0454c0eba551637674fa0e607774b864b0f428b5618f0d14f1ddc8d42cb62

Change log:

Resolved all remaining thread concurrency issues in the block and
transaction handling. All reported null pointer exceptions, division by
zero, and related bugs should not happen anymore. If you see any
errors in the log at all, please report them in our bug database:
https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt-public/issues

Added Asset Exchange related APIs:
getAskOrder, getAskOrderIds, getBidOrder, getBidOrderIds,
getAccountCurrentAskOrderIds, getAccountCurrentBidOrderIds.

Prevent the Recent Blocks tab in the browser UI from growing beyond
60 blocks. This should help avoid browser slowdown and freeze during
downloading of the whole blockchain from scratch.

Added transaction re-broadcasting. To make sure a new transaction has
been received by the network, it is broadcasted every minute, until
it shows in the list of unconfirmed or confirmed transactions.

The debug logs are quiet now, in fact I haven't seen any exceptions in
the last 24 h of testing this release. Everybody should give it a try as
I hope this is a really stable release. In particular, peers still
running the buggy 0.5.7 will get blacklisted if they don't upgrade,
because they keep broadcasting malformed JSON blocks and will be treated
as zombies.

Please organise escrow. There's been too many scams lately to request direct donations.
Also, what code do you have currently, which language, availability, license?

The decentralized marketplace will allow people in China to purchase goods with Nxt and other assets listed on the Nxt network.  There won't be a need to convert your cryptocurrency into Reminbi.
Yes,but with more assets and goods listed for exchange is a good news for all of the cryptocurrencies, isnt ?

If you want to use a vm, you might consider http://nextcoinbox.github.io/nextcoinbox

Nextcoinbox script now automatically downloads the latest client available.
This can be used to updated your client too (under linux, possibly Mac but not tested).
Check the script at https://raw.github.com/nextcoinbox/nextcoinbox/gh-pages/scripts/nextcoinbox-live.sh and the project's page at http://nextcoinbox.github.io/nextcoinbox/

Ah thank you ! I was asking for help from devs but no one is moving.
If bit777 add Nxt this will be the biggest promotion ever.
With what exactly can we help? what do you need?
Pin

Just helping him understand how the client work and how to implement it to his casino (considering the high traffic/transactions).
The Nxt client is very different from BitcoinQt.

This is a main problem we see also appear with exchange, people dont know how to implement it in they environment. Can we have somebody other than core DEVs JL and CfB to help people with this?

who is willing to do this?

Do we have someone other than core devs that could explain how NXT works and help them setup business; this is also in the interest of NXT

This should be documented somewhere, and be made the reference people are pointed to.

All the NXT APIs are in here http://www.thenxtwiki.org/wiki/For_Programmers. So the general information is there for everyone and if they have specific questions they can contact Cfb

Exactly what i neede, thx!

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Neutron - Unique Crypto of Future Generation - 10,000,000 total supply on: January 05, 2014, 05:07:26 PM
Looks good.

I think the most fair distribution of NEU will be if you limit the max amount of BTC to be received.
It is better to have 1000 people sent by 0.1 btc than 100 sent by 1 btc.

Certainly, and maybe setup a neutron foundation account that would invest 1BTC and invests its part in sponsoring different developments and promotion of the coin (eg funding bounties). I feel this is missed in the nxt community where the stakeholders are expected to take that role, but it's understandable at least some of them hold their coins
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Neutron - Unique Crypto of Future Generation - 10,000,000 total supply on: January 05, 2014, 01:29:39 PM
Looks interesting, but why closed source? Why not release early, often and with source?
It wouldalso be interesting to publish technical details on your website.

I ll keep an eye on the project!

BOUNTY VOTE TOTALS

I have tallied all the votes since CfB announced the bounty fund and put them into a spreadsheet.  These are accurate up to post #14556.

Can i propose my project http://nextcoinbox.github.io/nextcoinbox ?

Ps: i have trouble posting to the forum, and hope i didnt post multiple times...

Is it correct that the password to access an account is limited to 100 characters?
I have an account password with more than 100 characters, does it mean only the 100 first chars are used?
