It seems like I should be able to come up with a ridiculously fast implementation of Ethash. After all, the illusion of Ethash'es memory-hardness hinges upon the false assumption that algorithmically-generated DAG's are comparable to a series of true random numbers in terms of randomness, which is just not true. I will publish everything after I make enough money to buy a house in Berkeley...
I read it and laugh, again and again, thanks This is the best message from you, ever! I must save it here as a quote...

Hi guys! Could you recommend which altcoin (Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal/Blake2s/Keccak) is much more profitable for mining right now? (Cards - Radeon RX 560)
Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal are completely dead for GPU mining and 560 is not good choice for dual mining anyway.

Hi all! I got a very interesting idea.
Another noob wants to change this world. About money: Say to Jeff Bezos that he earns too much, or to Bill Gates, or to any rich person. Or to any top pool or exchange. But you cannot take their earnings, so you decide to pay attention to Claymore ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) About "nodevfee" program: search for this word here to find a bunch of them. Some of them are viruses, some not, but since they are public Claymore can detect them, confirmed it on many rigs. If 1% if so important for you and you are smart enough you can create own private "nodevfee" and use it and be happy. But as soon as you make it public it won't work anymore after some time, other noobs will use it and lose their hashrate as described in Claymore's readme. You can find confirmations about it in some threads. About developers: create your own fast miner for some coin, help the community! What? Don't have high skills? Why are you talking about high developers earnings then???

Wait, why would win 10 reserve 20% gpu resources on all 3gb cards in a rig? shouldn't windows do that only to the primary gpu? Microsoft don't care, memory is reserved on all cards. More memory - more is reserved. This memory is not used by W10, but it is not available for any programs. Another beautiful gift from Microsoft. I still can mine ETH in W10 on 3GB nvidia cards with latest Claymore miner with 0% dev fee, but I think it will stop work after epoch #185, you can check it with "-benchmark" option.

Mr. Claymore,
I am using your miner and I am very satisfied its performance. However I have an issue about fee. Previously, I have to say you are very succesful with your job. And this fee is absolutely your right. There is definitely no problem. I have never thought about using the miner with nofee options. It is not an argument about fee. But I just want to say, when I mine Dual (Not Double), fee increase to %2 (so it is double). However my profit does not increase to double while I mine dual. In my opinion %1.5 fee on dual mining more fair. Of course it is your issue and I will continue using your miner. Just you might think about this.

Are you from the past? Welcome to the future, now read this f*cked first post of this thread and your dreams come true.

$3000 is too much for single card, even for a very good card. For that price it is completely useless for mining.

v11.6:
- improved hashrate for weak Nvidia cards by about 1%. - zero devfee for 3GB cards in Windows 10, same as for all 2GB cards. - applied some tricks to increase available memory for 3GB cards in Windows 10 so you can mine ETH a bit longer. - now you can press "y" key to turn on "Compute Mode" in AMD drivers for all cards (Windows only). - Linux version: removed openssl library dependency. - improved "-logfile" option, now you can use it to specify a folder for log files, use slash at the end to do it, for example, "-logfile logs\". - added "-epoolsfile" and "-dpoolsfile" options. - remote management: now "miner_getstat2" command also returns PCI bus index for every GPU. - a few minor bug fixes and improvements.
Thanks Claymore, for bringing life back to 3GB cards, worked right off the bat! +1, I can mine Eth on 1060 3GB cards in W10 only with Claymore, all other miners fail now. Also 0% developer fee ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

I've tested with Windows 7 and works great, now I want to run PhoenixMiner 2.8c with Windows 10.0.16299.334 with the last patches in the same Workstation (Intel s5000psl, 2 Intel Xeon E5450 processors for a total of 8 cores, 32Gb RAM, EVGA nVidia 1060GTX 3Gb, a virtual memory assigned to 16Gb Min/64Gb Max) but appear the follow issue:
GPU1: GeForce GTX 1060 3GB (pcie 7), CUDA cap. 6.1, 3 GB VRAM, 9 CUs Listening for CDM Remote manager at port 3333 in read only Eth: the pool list contains 4 pools Eth: primary pool: eu1.ethpool.org:3333 Starting GPU mining Eth: Connection to ethash pool eu1.ethpool.org:3333 (proto: QtMiner) Eth:Connected to ethash pool eu1.ethpool.org:3333 (35.198.113.32) GPU1: 54C 16% Eth: New Job #03b29753 from eu1.ethpool.org:3333; diff 4000MH GPU1: Starting up...(0) Eth: Generating light cache for epoch #178 Eth: Allocating DAG (2.41) GB; good for epoch up to #180 Eth speed: 0.000 M/s, shares: 0/0/0, time: 0:00 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:205 : out of memory (2) GPU1 initMiner error: out of memory Thread(s) not responding. Restarting.
In an infinite loop until I close the window, I've used the following syntax in the bat file:
PhoenixMiner.exe -coin eth -nvidia -gpus 1 -pool eu1.ethpool.org:3333 -pool2 asia1.ethpool.org:3333 -wal wallet.workername -proto 3
or
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool eu1.ethpool.org:3333 -pool2 asia1.ethpool.org:3333 -wal wallet.workername -proto 3
In both cases the same issue "CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:205 : out of memory (2)" .
Anyone that could help me I appreciate, thanks in advanced
For 1060 3GB + W10 the best is Claymore 11.6: stable, no errors about memory, 0% developer fee!!

"y" key is awesome, thanks!! gonna try my 1063 in W10 again, had to put them to W7 recently.

With Windows 10 I always run this command in a .bat file before I start mining: taskkill /IM /F ApplicationFrameHost.exe It gets back a little vram from windows.
I do not see any more vram after killing ApplicationFrameHost.exe, seems useless.

|

I see no changes in hashrate.

Can I use a laptop with a coin?
Yes if you want to kill it ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Important Question. I have moved to phoenixminer because it can report a total of Wrong Shares, this helps me identify GPU's that have become Sick and may need a restart. Claymore only shows rejected shares, can I see the total gpu errors with some command? I mean I cant watchover the machines all the time to see the red error lines....
Really? What about pressing "s" key ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

After new ETH DAG 1060 3gb say bye bye to ETH on W10, I try to mine now UBIQ on Ethermine but when they want to take devfee reestart becasuse they take ETH not UBIQ and DAG of ETH is not supported by 3gb GPU. Who has a good solution to all 3gb GPU ? Now after all cripto-coin go down is mandatory to have the mine in optimun condition to take same profit, another problem is that rare coin is not easy to convert in USD/EUR. I apreciate your comment. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I dont want to change to Linux for only same month more of life of ETH Use Windows 7 or Linux, there is no solution for Windows 10.

These scannings are useless, the more popular miner becomes, the more positives it gets, nicehash miner has a lot of positives too. Only completely unknown miners can have zero positives.
|
|
|
Only shitcoins are CPU only. Any popular coin attracts developers and they create GPU miners for it sooner or later.

Hello.. My first post ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) I download 11.5 and what about : Trojan:Win32/CoinMiner!bit and SppExtComObjHook.dll in my Temp and Reg ... Just take any miner and distribute it somehow with your wallet in settings - that is all, a miner is a trojan now! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Mining will not die due to a very cheap elecricity in some places, but mining will definitely die for places with high prices like $0.25.
