1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: man up and stop blaming casinos on: September 23, 2025, 02:19:55 PM
Blaming the house is irresponsible, players are better off owning up responsibilities, and accepting results. Players who blame the house always have lesser energy and end up with a crushed problem solving skill, which won't be nice at fighting the little issues or signals that walks most players into the compound of problem gambling.
The thing is that many people tend to avoid responsibility for their actions. They develop this on a subconscious level over the years. When such people consciously mature, they act this way automatically.

Let's be honest. In my country, the president constantly shifts responsibility for his crimes onto other people. What can we say about ordinary citizens?

It is actually a coward behaviour to run away from your responsibilities without owning up to them...any action we take is something we did willingly, it is a choice that we made, so we must always be ready to face the consequences of our actions...a lot of gamblers blame the casino for their losses but they forget that they were not compelled to gamble, people who lack accountability might end up going through the same problems
No one ever forces anyone to gamble on any casino site, whoever likes it becomes addicted to gambling. However, there are some people here who lose money and become destitute by gambling, then they start talking against the casino sites, I will tell them that when you opened an account on the casino sites, you were not forced to gamble in any way. You lost money by gambling on your own will.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to avoid cashing out your game on: September 23, 2025, 02:15:21 PM
Cashing out is all about making profit, I don't take these offers when I'm losing because there's no point...People get frustrated when they cash out and the game later plays out according to what they predicted, the most important thing is the profit that you made, regrets only sets in when you are greedy...If I pick two to three matches I can cashout depending on the odds of both teams and that amount I'm being offered
Most times the cashout Is supposed to exceed your stake in oder for it to make sense as anything below is just you trying not to loose out completely even when you are actually loosing out by that loss you have already accepted, and I agree with you if you are not making  profit cashing out, there is actually  no need for it already because you are still loosing either ways so it is better you just try to rather wait for the cash out to co.e I profitable for you to properly cashout on a profit end.
I have not seen any big wins so far by gambling. Most of the time, I have lost money several times due to excessive greed when I am not ready to gamble to spend my free time. After losing, I thought that next time I will not make such a mistake that I will lose all my money. However, what I have thought about is that the right time to gamble is leisure time. This time is absolutely perfect for gambling.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Wins, Losses, and lessons learned on: September 23, 2025, 02:11:29 PM
If we realize this, we understand the consequences of gambling, which is quite clear: losses are more common than wins. Therefore, there's nothing wrong with gambling just for fun. Even if it's considered a waste of money, at least the capital invested is determined and not excessive. Most importantly, you can feel satisfied with the game.
Losses are mostly more than the wins but if you are been really strategic with your wins, the chances are that you will be able make up for a going number of the losses through a few wins so you do not really need your wins to equate your losses for you to be able probably make profits and this has been one of the motivation of most gamblers of all times that has kept them glued to wanting to gamble continuously even when they are suffering losses because  they believe all they needed is a big win and they will be able  to make up for all of their losses.
While gambling, accepting the loss is a matter of joy for us. However, if we always gamble with the hope of winning, it can cause great harm to us. While gambling, sometimes there will be profit and sometimes there will be loss, in this way we should not be disappointed because to get the right pleasure from gambling, we have to enjoy the pleasure even from losing. However, most of the time, when we lose, everyone gets upset and wants to gamble with many strategies to recover the money that they have lost.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: not-a-luxury casino on: September 23, 2025, 02:04:18 PM
To answer this, we need to categorize two categories: the wealthy tend to choose comfortable locations, with casinos offering top-notch service as their go-to places to spend their money. Meanwhile, the poor don't care much about comfort; they only care about being able to gamble, hoping to double their winnings. However, this isn't a valid answer based on data, and it all comes down to the individual gambler.
Money give us better choices amd at rhat we have to accept the preference that those gamblers qoth money has over those with limited money, although also we need to point out that sometimes, its not about the availability of money, i have seen some gambler's who are wealthy but still goes to low classs casinos, that make me to believe that sometimes individual choices matters.
Many people open accounts and gamble on low-quality casino sites, and I don't know why they gamble on these low-quality sites. However, we always have to be careful and find some casino sites and open an account from which we can enjoy various benefits. Again, we have to keep a few things in mind, including whether the casino sites on which we open an account can keep our personal documents safe.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do people get carried away by their winnings on: September 23, 2025, 10:43:29 AM
Usually I have came across few topics where they kept saying that when they should stop if they were winning, and I was like do they really understand why they are gambling?
Okay as a gambler it's always important to set winning limits or losing limits, this would also help you reduce addiction and also help you to manage your fund when gambling because they wouldn't be that carried away while gambling.

Depends on the purpose for which an individual is gambling. A few do it for fun, so there's no biggie if they don't stop when they're winning. However, it will be a totally different story for the gamblers who are always chasing a huge win. It's not that they need to understand why they are gambling, but what they need to understand is how gambling works. In the long run, as a person gambles, he will only accumulate nothing but losses. It might not always gonna be the case for everyone, but for the majority.
Those who start gambling in a new situation have good luck because the chances of winning in gambling are high in a new situation. Again, there are some people who have some money in a new situation and then their interest in gambling increases, which eventually leads to them becoming addicted to gambling. Therefore, one should never be excessively greedy while gambling. Whenever excessive greed is shown, the chances of winning in gambling will decrease at that time.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you rather…. on: September 23, 2025, 05:25:26 AM
Would you rather play in a casino where you win a lot and big ones too but has strict KYC implementation and is a headache to actually cash out from or play in a casino with no KYC, totally private and secure but doesn’t let you win a lot?

I know that in casinos, there’s not much difference between rates of winning because it’s random but hypothetically which one is more important for you? Profit or Privacy?

Well, in my case, I don't think I needed privacy, considering how low the amount I am allocating to gambling is. So, that means I'm gonna have to favor making a profit over privacy. Of course, I'm gonna deal with the most trusted and established casino to avoid the risks of getting your information sold to any cyber criminal. But then again, I don't think I'm gonna be one of their best target after looking at my account and gambling activities lol.
Before gambling, we need to carefully examine several aspects and open an account on casino sites so that we do not have to face any legal problems later. There are several casino sites where we have to face major problems by opening an account, we should always keep our distance from these casino sites. So that we do not sell any of our personal documents to any other dishonest person, we need to find some sites and open our account.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My opinion on when bets should increase on: September 23, 2025, 05:19:46 AM
Bet adjustment is actually about the management of risk and emotions. Pursuing after losses through bets increase can be potential danger, because a single wrong turn can erase you. Increasing after a win may feel safe, if you will be betting with the profit, yet it can as well backfire when the streak stop abruptly. From my view, I will prefer staying with consistent bets with slight adjustment, because stability provides better chances of lasting longer to avoid tilt. The concern is securing your bankroll at first, not going after fast swings.

One thing to remember when your goal is to gamble to make a profit: do not make haste in winning, and do not try to chase the losses immediately. Some may say it's called the Martingale strategy, but it's not gonna work most of the time. We already know that, and you need a lot of resources to pull this one off, and again, it is not guaranteed.
So, I have to agree with you. Betting consistently, carefully, and strategically will somehow work better than some hasty moves. It may take more time, but it's less risky.
Gambling is not a bad thing but it becomes bad when a person wastes money on gambling to an excessive extent. The worst part of gambling is that it destroys the savings and does not hesitate to put a good person in debt. Many people decide to gamble by borrowing money from friends but in this they face a bigger danger if they lose in gambling and cannot repay the money borrowed from their friends and the relationship between them is ruined.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Life and what else on: September 23, 2025, 04:30:32 AM
I am curious what is the one thing that you will never bet with? I am not talking about life because I think almost everyone will say that already but instead I am talking about other things. Like your house, your car or maybe some weird thing like your favorite shirt or the mug your father gave you. Those kinds of things. It would be interesting to see how people value different things within the metrics of gambling.
You will be surprised how most dude's bet anything in their disposal regardless all in the name of gambling, what ever that will make me stake what I will later think of  or remember then I don't think it worth it, only what I can let go otherwise am out. However for someone getting to an extent of staking his house, cars or any valuables all in the name of gambling then am afraid because addiction has eaten him deep and he need to work on his self.
When a person decides to gamble by mortgaging his house and car, he is not in his right mind. Because a person will never be in a healthy state of mind, it is very difficult to think of gambling by mortgaging his last assets, his house and cars. I have seen many people who have taken loans from friends to gamble, lost in gambling and cut off their relationships with friends. If we want, if any member of our family is addicted to gambling, we have to gradually bring him back from gambling addiction.
9  Economy / Gambling / Re: Hack for self-control on: September 23, 2025, 04:24:25 AM
Here is a wise hack for self-control. Staking crypto using a 21-day lock, enables removal of immediate lure to gamble, just like self-exclusion tools. This enforeces a period of cooling-off and makes sure funds are safe, but the the absence of options for stablecoin can reduce its appeal.

Not only that, this method can bring patience to the mind of hasty gamblers, it sounds like a good plan but it doesn't affect lose and gains, you can wait till the next unlock and still lose your money, it's better to accept what gambling really is all about. It's risky and shouldn't be treated as a source of income. Work hard and use small percent of your total income to gamble.
Gambling requires extra patience. If you don't have patience while gambling, you will never be able to win in gambling and keep your money. I think the first thing to win in gambling is patience and luck. So I am surprised to see the activities of some people. They spend extra time on gambling, leaving aside their business and jobs. They gamble with the thought of earning money from gambling. I think their activities are still stupid.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reason to return to gambling after quitting on: September 23, 2025, 04:20:58 AM
I saw a post about someone returning to gambling after quitting for some time, maybe a year or more. But my concern is not more on the return to gambling, rather it is on the very question I am about to ask that requires your opinions if really we want to solve the problem of gambling and addiction into it

What could be the reason for his return and what can be done to manage such situation?

It makes sense only if they learned from their mistakes, you can take a break from gambling for like a year or more and come back to start losing again, to me it makes no difference if lessons are not learnt.

Also the gambler need to have come up with a better safety strategy like gambling method and timing, gamblers must put their mind on their business and jobs rather than gambling, I am not saying they shouldn't gamble I am saying they should somehow lower their expectations.

What you mean is absolutely correct because a person cannot waste extra time on gambling. If he does not waste time on gambling but on his job or business, he will easily find success. And if a person spends extra time on gambling instead of business, he will gradually be destroyed.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tell me how this is not laziness on: September 09, 2025, 03:38:22 PM
It's like they won't want to work and yet gambling isn't helping either, I guess this effect happened because they have tasted how it feel like to win some money through gambling so they shut every other doors.

They have tested easy money and are now addicted to that therefore they can't do regular jobs anymore and don't want to stress about making money the way the regular people are doing. Laziness contributes to irresponsible gambling because when you don't want to work, you're going to spend all the time you have trying to make it from gambling and since it doesn't favour everybody, the chances of you winning isn't there. If we can stop being lazy and decide to work, gambling isn't going to control us because then we have our own money and now gambling is just as an addition or for pleasure so we don't get bored.
I still don't know whether those who start gambling with the idea of earning money by gambling are ever able to earn more money by gambling. But I know very well that it is never possible to earn money by gambling. There are wins and losses in gambling, so no one will ever understand when he will win in gambling and when he will lose in gambling. Gambling depends on complete luck, so it is very difficult to understand when luck is bad and when it is good. It is very difficult to win regularly while gambling.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling inspiring people to work harder? on: September 09, 2025, 03:25:17 PM
For some people maybe yes, but for others it’s not. Who would work hard just to lose at the end of the day? A life like that would be tiring, you work only to lose it to gambling. In the end you’re just making casinos richer while making your own life miserable.

If you have that kind of mindset, I don’t think it’s normal for a responsible person. Maybe these people should be checked, because they might not commit crimes now, but in the future they could if they get too addicted. Gambling should only be seen as entertainment. If you work just to gamble, then you’re treating it like a responsibility or a basic need, which is already wrong.

This is a very ridiculous thing if you think about it but it's actually some people's reality, they work hard and they have nothing to show for...to people who don't know that they are gamblers they might wonder where all their money goes to because there's nothing that shows an evidence of that type of amount they make...working to gamble is like pouring water in a basket, its a waste hard work
There are some people in our society who work hard all day to earn money but when they come home at night they start gambling with that money. These people can never do anything good. They waste the money they work hard all day by gambling. I feel very sorry for these people because many have lost many big things in their lives by gambling. Those who gamble can never be happy and their good relationships with their families are ruined.

Afghanistan team has come out to bat. So far Afghanistan team has scored 39 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 5.2 overs. It seems that Afghanistan team is under some pressure after losing 2 wickets. Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk) has been dismissed for 8 runs in 5 balls. Ibrahim Zadran has been dismissed for 1 run in 4 balls. In today's match, two AU batsmen have batted very badly due to which Afghanistan team is under a lot of pressure now.

Says scored in the 41st and 45th minutes, A. Stankovic in the 45th and 2nd minutes and C. Jolis scored the remaining goals in the 50th minute. Rangers' M. Aarons was sent off in the 8th minute, Rangers becoming even weaker.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 09, 2025, 02:19:18 PM
In the Spanish League Real Betis vs Athletic Club match, Athletic Club scored 2 goals and Real Betis scored 1 goal in the final minutes of the match. Real Betis tried hard to perform well from the start of the game until the end, but they could not score a goal, but they scored 1 goal at the end of the game. If Real Betis could have scored 1 more goal in this match, they could have drawn the match, but due to not scoring, Real Betis had to accept defeat in this match.

Al Akhdoud vs Al-Ittihad in Saudi Professional League The match we saw in this match Al-Ittihad team scored 5 goals in the entire game and performed amazingly from the start of the game to the end but Al Akhdoud team could not show any good performance to the audience in this match. However, if Al Akhdoud team's goalkeeper could have performed a little better in this game, then something good could have happened in this match but the goalkeeper was very weak due to which he could not do anything good in this match.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drinking vs Gambling on: September 09, 2025, 01:57:48 PM
~
What I can't get over is how some people still think weed is worse than alcohol. But this is all pychology I suppose, it is a funny thing how we work us humans.
Yeah, it's all psychology. Life in itself is all about psychology. People feeling inferior or superior to others is about a mindset. It's psychology. People picking fields of study is all about their psychology of what field of study makes them feel better.

I explained that drinking part earlier. Let me buttress it further with a simple scenario from your comment above, using a party event. Would you as a non-smoker and teetotaller rather sit with a bunch of people smoking weed at an event or those sipping alcoholic drinks? Your response to that question is how the society views it. Again, have you seen any criminal caught at a crime scene reek of alcohol or weed/drugs? Most of them often confess they're into drugs rather than alcohol. I guess that's why the society doesn't as much as see drunks as harmful as it sees drug and gambling addicts. The society believes those in the latter category can do anything horrible to get money and fund their addiction.

I mean honestly I feel like parties today the people drinking are rifht next to the people smoking and they're all in each other's midst. We are at a point in society where old school meets new school. We aren't far from weed at least in the USA to becoming completely normalized and honestly id give it another decade or two to set in but the younger generations I feel like are very much so pro smoking and maybe even less pro drinking. Its an interesting junction,  but that is all just my gut feelings I have no research or proof just my intuition speaking
The new generation and the old generation come together and establish their relationship. They agree that both smoking and drinking are unhealthy and they think that it should not be drink in public place. Some break the law due to disobedience and create public suffering. If I consider the context of my country, I see that nowadays smoking and drinking is considered normal among people of both generations at parties but they behave differently in the outside environment.
As I see it, as time goes by, the children of today are becoming addicted to drugs and gambling. It seems that no such incident happened in the past, but it has not happened so much. If we look around us now, we will see that the amount of drugs and gambling is constantly increasing around us. Minor children are more prone to drugs and gambling. If this continues, the youth society will reach a very bad stage.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling and divorce on: September 09, 2025, 01:52:56 PM
Gambling is a high-risk activity, and if someone does it excessively or crosses the line, problems will inevitably arise. For everyone, when gambling goes beyond limits, the same financial problems will arise. They may spend more money on gambling than on other things, including personal needs. It's not uncommon for divorce to occur in families where one party is addicted to gambling.

Definitely, excessive gambling always results in problems in the family or marriage. It causes too many expenses on gambling, making one neglect to make sure they take good care of their family. It results in financial recklessness as one would not be accountable for every dime that enters their hand, no savings, no investment, no plan, all they have or get goes into gambling, and this is what destroys marriages, where the wife would want a divorce because the person they married is no longer the person he used to be. Sometimes, excesses need to be curtailed to avoid addiction because if measures are not put in place, it would be disastrous in the end.

Excessive gambling can lead to mental imbalance. If a person becomes completely addicted to gambling, his memory is greatly damaged. Due to excessive gambling, a healthy person gradually becomes ill and various kinds of problems start to arise with his family. When he loses his money after gambling, pressure comes on him from various directions, due to which he is mentally stressed.

Afghanistan vs Hong Kong, 1st Match, Group B match is going to start very soon. If Afghanistan team wins the toss and chooses to bat and can set a target of 180 runs in 20 overs, then Afghanistan team will have a chance to win this match. But on the other hand, I am waiting to see how well Hong Kong team can perform in today's match. I don't know how well Afghanistan team can play in today's match.
