1  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people says gold is better? on: April 02, 2018, 09:54:10 AM
Actually today I watched a video on facebook which is about spending bitcoin and gold in USA,it says it is difficult to spend bitcoin but some places are accepting bitcoins accepting as payment like supermarket, restaurants and some institutions. But no one accepting gold as payment then why still people says gold is better?
it is changed in the past people were believing that gold is universally acceptable asset and stable in the world that’s why people become very attached with gold.
2  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Quality of a leader on: March 29, 2018, 10:20:36 AM
Some people believe certain person are born leaders. Others think an individual can learn to be a leader.
I don't want to use the notion " quality of Good leader", but quality of a leader. Why? Because no matter how one try, the phrase GOOD can not be justified. As a leader, your actions set the tone for what is appropriate in any field you find yourself because you are a role model and many people wants to learn from you. Exhibit habit that you want the society to be, always remember the change you are looking for begins with you.
Be able to communicate effectively, a better society can only be achieved via effective communication and most important you build trust from people on how you communicate with each others.
Be humble, always acknowledge others idea,  and to grant it all be CREATIVE AND ORIGINAL.
Let's build a better society today.
Thank you
A good leader is a good follower. All the rules that will be implemented he'll do it in the right way. Everytime there will be troubles he should have a tough decision to solve it.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Death Cross on: March 28, 2018, 11:18:13 AM
We are close to death cross now and if we don't bounce to 10k quickly we take this cross. Let's discuss how it can impact on bitcoin price. My forecast if we take it, we get bitcoin fall down to 3k at least within one big red candle. Any other opinion?
I can see this happening as I think people are too quick to dismiss the market activity in 2013/2014 as not happening again. If you compare the charts the pattern almost looks like a exact repeat of 2014 where the market crashed, briefly recovered to about 50% of the previous high which held for maybe two months and then it crashed down again even further.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can i get my bitcoin back? on: March 28, 2018, 11:16:38 AM
A friend of mine had some Bitcoin on his phone a couple of years ago and he's lost that phone which stored the private keys on without any other backup. We can see his balance on the blockchain and he knows his password for the private keys. Is there a way of creating the private key from the bitcoin address and the known password?
It's the keys duty to open up your treasure chest (wallet). And if you lost the keys there's no way to open it for you mate. The only possible way to recover those bitcoins is when you had recovered the phone and check the private keys and restore your wallet.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is NOT DEAD on: March 28, 2018, 11:14:50 AM
BTCBTCBTC
Bitcoin is not dead lol. The price is getting low but bitcoin will not die quickly we can recover it in somehow. Many people thought bitcoin is secretly dying I just wanted to say that its wrong Bitcoin will back soon to higher value.

BTCBTCBTC
Obviously Bitcoin won't die. Just like the stock market, bitcoin too is subject to ups and downs in price. It is the belief of people that makes Bitcoin stronger. Every time the market falls, people consider it the right opportunity to invest and make money, and I am sure that a lot of people would take this low price as an opportunity to invest in bitcoin.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need regulations? on: March 27, 2018, 12:27:41 AM
How do you guys think? Do we need regulations in the crypto world? Should only ICO be regulated or legit coins (not "security tokens") too? Can we implement regulations mechanisms in code so that corrupted governmental institutions couldn't manipulate the industry? Can we still have free market with governments' regulations across the world?

Please, share your thoughts. I'm a bit confused about what's happening right now.
Yes we will still have the free market with regulations. When they say about the regulations then they literally mean that it’s use and the way it is exchanged should be regulated.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: The best way to manage free money on: March 27, 2018, 12:26:19 AM
I feel unable to do daily trading in market bitcoin / cryptocurrency, I want to invest my money. please give me advise on what you think is good about:

1. bank deposits
2. Lending cryptocurrency
3. Mining
4. Gold assets
5. Property
6. other ideas ...

your response will be very useful for me, and maybe some visitors who read this thread. and thank you for your comments.

I don't know whether you have heard about mutual fund schemes provided by the Asset Management Companies. They invest a part of your income in equity and the other part in debt and give you returns almost equal to 20-30%. I suggest you check out with a local agent about the mutual fund policies available in your area
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Cost of Living Comparison on: March 26, 2018, 10:29:01 AM

9  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is useless on: March 23, 2018, 11:57:09 PM
I am amazed with number of people being fooled with BTC:

1. Transactions takes hours
2. Fees are high
3. Development team sucks, uncapable solve scalability issues for years
4. Its not anonymous, every solution to make it, failed so far
5. Its centralized: who is biggest hash power owner? Who is biggest miner hardware provider? Who owns most of bitcoins? What is % of Bitcoins in coldstorage and what in exchanges ( Ye Mt Gox )
6. There is 0 economics for BTC, it just tight to USD with liquidity providers, cut that and try to value pizza box with just BTC
7. Its not store of value, its not digital gold, and it will never be 100k USD. Because it has no value. It has value only for energy probiders, hardware manufactures and random phils.
8. Its not insured, If some crap happened to your BTC, its gone.
9. Bitcoin has a limited supply, but it does not help much. Bitcoin has a code that can be amended and its enough of small group of people to work together to support that. Question really is: do someone need that hassle? No really. Bitcoin has satoshis, that currently meaningless and just nice numbers after dot, but this a very well painless way to inflate any crypto currency and its up to liquidity providers. Again it falls to point #5 and #6. Added on 24/01/2018

Such crap will never be used in payments, noone wants to support Terrabytes or Petabytes of data.

Its funny to observe how uneducated shills trying to make casual office landline phone to look smart phone.

BTC is scam of the century, stay away.

UPDATE 12/02/2018:

As this forum full of bots, I will emphasize one question from the user:

Ok, for all of you that insist that Bitcoin is not useless, tell me!

What do you use Bitcoin for?

Please don't tell me what it could be used for or how other people might use it. I want to know how you use it. Also, please don't tell me about trading or hodling. Those are not uses.

Hope to get constructive answers.

UPDATE 11/02/2018:

One by one, it becomes recognizable that Bitcoin at this stage is very useless. DarkNet, is the one who started one, and the one who will make a dump: https://cointelegraph.com/news/is-darknet-done-with-bitcoin

This is a very worried signal

UPDATE 30/01/2018:

Bitcointalk, and many other crypto related forums are heavily manipulated by bots, the amount of useless posts and conversation is just crazy. Even look at this thread, so much messages about "it will make me reach", "it growing", "I am going to be wealthy" so much manipulation, only in ponzi game this possible. It proves just on how bitcoin is useless, because 90% of people just copy paste message from bots, even not knowing basic fundamentals.

UPDATE 29/01/2018:
Few points were made here that are unfair:

1. Bitcoin is a first one, its revolutionary and so on and so forth, wrong, Bitcoin is a client that is build on top of practices that were developed and test long time before Bitcoin e.g. Proof of Work, Hashcash, eCash, bit gold, Merkle Tree, Peer-to-Peer,Byzantine fault tolerance etc.

2. Bitcoin is still in development and it needs a time and so on and so forth, really? its a 10 years old technology. Its usage is very easy predictable, no rocket science here. Scailibility problems were addressed long time ago. But like in every corrupted government, Bitcoin has biased devs, greedy miners and exchanges driven by capitalists. Why to care about tech? When everyone is just become wealthy on nothing. This is why its scam and this is how it become useless, because everyone only cares about price, not utility on day-to-day basis. Typical ponzi game.

3. Bitcoin is store of value, fake as is. Everything that has Blockchain underneath is store of value, Bitcoin is neither exception nor unique here. And again it has no value, because there is no utility. Remove exchanges from equation, and tell me how much BTC will be worth 1 pizza?

UPDATE 24/01/2018:

Everyone is amazed of why I called it useless, well, recently Stripe dropped support for Bitcoin payments. This is the prove of Bitcoin being useless. Stripe was not the only one in recent months to do so. It should ring a bell.

UPDATE 23/01/2018:

useless, guys the fact that some of you become reach and wealthy does not make Bitcoin useful. You wealth does not come from values that are used in propaganda.

1. Why I am still here? I believe there are technologies that are better maintained and lead than BTC, I prefer put money in something that bring value, has use-case and been used.
2. LN is panacea! Well not, so far its more dream than reality, no doubt it will be delivered in one or other way, but it will not solve all problems and so far it has more questions than answers.
We all have different views in everything specially in bitcoin and i respect your opinion. But for me bitcoin is not useless in fact it helps a lot of people make lives better.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: So, you want to be rich? All of you ? on: March 22, 2018, 12:21:54 AM
Just imagine. If ALL OF US would be rich, that means we would live our lives out from dividends, or any passive income of at least $1k a month. Then it would be jawesome, right ? Well, but then I do have a question.
WHO on this Earth would bake the bread for ALL OF US ?
Robots, you might say?
OK, nice idea.
But then, WHO on Earth would maintenance these robots ?
Another robots ?
I don't think so.
Even if so, even if there would be a Skynet of robots, who would not just bake the bread, but also harvest the grains, transport it, deliver to our doors. What then ?
We could eat for free, as much as you want?
Cool, but what about overweight then.
Doctor? But hey wait, NO ONE on this Earth work, so we have no doctors.
OK, we have Doctor Robots.
Who would teach our kids? Robots! Who would change the diapres? Robot!
Even if humans would master all this, we would need to have all the knowledge to teach our robots to work for us. To be slaves for us. (no minds, just pure robotic hands/arms and so on, Tesla's and autopilots)
But even then, there is one huge problem.
I do not want to touch any country, or race, or group of people, but imagine, if you put infinite amount of resources to any kind of animal (including humans), they would reproduce themselves to infinite. Because they simply can. Because parents do not need to parent their kids anymore, because we have robots! So we would need a limit of reproducing, no right to reproduce as much as you can handle (infinite resources), because we would simple have like 50-100billion people on this planet, and there would be no robots who could grow so much grains to bake bread. (perhaps hyper dense pills could be the away).
So, back to the original question, why do people believe, they all can be rich ?
It was, is, and will be, ALWAYS about that who is going to earn more, not enough, but more than the others.
Why?
If there is only one mansion on the Bahamas, which is large enough, sunny enough, sexy enough, there is no freaking way, ALL OF US could buy it. Just one. 1. One. And if only 10 buyers come with their million, to who would seller sell this mansion to? First ? But second also have million and ALL OF US want to be rich (own that one mansion). So second would have to offer 2 million, right?
Wrong.
No one would want to sell such mansion in the first place, as he is already rich. We all are.
It true that everybody wants to be rich but not by just magic but also through our various endeavours in our activities being rich as an accountant will not mean I will stop being an accountant or the barber will just quit without making alternative.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Why did you choose bitcoin? on: March 21, 2018, 12:43:17 AM
Hey all,

I’m conducting a research on cryptocurrencies and I’m especially interested in why people choose Bitcoin. And since you are bitcoin users/experts, I thought you would be the best people to ask. It would be great if you could take the time to answer my questions (anonymously), I promise it will take no more than 10 minutes.

Click on the following link to go to the survey - https://uvacommscience.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3lzs2sI13cKH1m5?source=bitcointalk

If you are interested, I could post my main findings here.

Thank you.
To keep it simple, Bitcoin was the first ever cryptocurrency that was created and dates its origin back to 2009. Backed by blockchain technology, it is very easy to use compared to other forms of online payment processors like PayPal and Skrill.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: March 19, 2018, 09:45:06 AM
Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?
It is an courageous prediction and maybe know what he tell. But I don't think so. A very long story of us dollar cannot end so easy. Bitcoin is an wonderful tool and has a very precious quality. It is not manipulable. As such it would be a very welcomed currency in replacing every kind of money
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Should I Choose Bitcoin ?? on: March 19, 2018, 09:43:45 AM
Why Should I Choose Bitcoin ??
It's the first question one should face while starting to deal in bitcoins and answer this will satisfies you to choose bitcoin over others. Some of the benefits that Bitcoin have over other includes :

1-Quick transactions – Bitcoin is transferred quickly over the Internet.
2-No expenses/low charges – Unlike credit cards, Bitcoin can be utilized for nothing or low costs.. This enhances revenues margins deals.
3-International installments – Bitcoin is used all over the globe; e-commerce sellers and service suppliers can easily agree to take international payments. Which uncovered new potential commercial centers for them.
4-Information is secure – As we have seen with late hacks on general retailers’ disbursement processing systems, the Internet is not generally a secure place for private information. With Bitcoin, clients don’t surrender private data.
5-Much More Easier – Bitcoin is Much more easier rather than we think.Means to say It’s Much more easier than transfering a Payment from bank account From bitcoin you can even transfer a Payment in few clicks even While listening songs.
-Hope this will help you in believing Bitcoins !
Yes, good points from OP but Botany's point is probably even better than all those.  None of the above inspires me to use bitcoin over fiat...and I'm a bitcoin supporter too.
14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you agree in death penalty? on: March 18, 2018, 02:21:53 AM
I believe that we just borrow our lives from God. And He is the only one who have right to take them away from us.
At first I didn't agree with having death penalty. But when you watch the news and see all those fucked up things people do without remorse, most likely you would want them dead too, especially if you're connected to the victims.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: after Facebook on: March 18, 2018, 02:20:45 AM
After Facebook banned the crypto relates ads next is google then who
What is the possibly effect of thier step did
Can this be a good thing cause it can stop the crypto money loundering
Or it can be bad cause it can hold the btc for spreadin share your thoughts

https://www.c[Suspicious link removed]m/2018/03/13/google-bans-crypto-ads.html
For the effect of it i can safely assume that this type of news will affect the price since there are so many weak hands in this market. Sometime they do not read the article and just check the title and assume that the google will ban cryptocurrency.
16  Other / New forum software / Re: Progress? We're waiting... on: March 18, 2018, 02:18:24 AM
Really? Is beta.bitcointalk.org legit the latest version? It's been 3 years and this is it? What is it being coded in... assembly?

If I remember correctly, the budget for the site was in the tens of thousands of BTC. At today's value, it'd probably be a $50MM bid. I'm thinking the admins were swindled in the bid... I think it should go back open or at least make a more open competition for the new software.

Edit: Found the source. It's freaking Javascript... that's why. Who would want that ungodly mess to manage? ew.

Edit2: https://github.com/epochtalk/epochtalk for those that can't google.
Just because it's hard work, that doesn't mean it's good work. Given the time frame of the project, and the apparent budget, the progress should be better. Not to mention that there are forum softwares out there that meet the needs to begin with. The theme of the new forum is trash. Plain and simple.
17  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Social Networks on: March 17, 2018, 12:15:13 PM
What are some things you'd like to see in a social network that would make your experience even better?

example ... No ads / No "feed" / better messaging system using better encryption

First and Last is NO SPAM , NO ADS...
Social network is a good. With the advancement in technology, communication has grown. It is now easier and cheap to communicate and connect with people across the world. The issue of distance is no longer an excuse for lack of communication. Communication systems have grown from wired devices to wireless devices.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as your main income? on: March 17, 2018, 12:13:49 PM
Bitcoin is a currency. Bitcoin is a solution to many problems. Bitcoin is bringing questions and new problems to this world.
Some people find this as a ride to boost your income, not specifically Bitcoin but also the whole crypto market.
I think it's a great thing! But what are you actually looking for? Bitcoin itself (the currency) might not be your solution.
If you want to "conquer" the world, you can't do it with Bitcoin. Like you can't conquer the world with the dollar itself.
You need to focus the technology. The blockchain along with it, bringing a new economy generation with freedom and decentralization.
It's something that should be written a new bible about in my opinion. Before you learn Bitcoin, learn economy. Once you master this skill, own Bitcoin as one of your cards.

I would like to hear some of your opinions and hear some smart words because I believe people think investing Bitcoin will make their life done financially but I honestly think it's not true.
Its risky to consider bitcoin as your main income simply because its highly volatile and your profit is not guaranteed. Better to just make this thing as another source of profit, its good to have a lot of money resources.
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: To travel is to live on: March 16, 2018, 11:02:38 AM
"Travelling leaves you speechless, then turns you into a story teller" a famous quote.
the world is book and those who do not travel read only one page. What you people think about traveling is worthy for life or not?
i am in love with travelling because in the end we only regret the chances we didn't take.
I'm always one to attack absolute statements about the correct way to live, and this one that I will indeed attack! I think that making a claim like "to travel is to live" is to suggest that people who cannot afford to travel don't live, which just isn't true. People find real meaning within their own communities.
20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Tips on choosing a course on: March 16, 2018, 11:01:36 AM
I've noticed a lot of students been struggling in choosing what course to take in college. Do you have any tips for it?
You have to put a lot of thought into choosing your course because it'll have a huge impact in the future. I'm not saying that you'll be limited only to what you studied but if it isn't the right choice for you, you would be wasting years learning about things you're not really interested in.
