1  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fun/Arcade games to win? on: January 29, 2014, 08:57:42 PM
gambit.com is PvP boardgames

gamerholic.com has tetris and another arcade game. I've played on this site for a while, it is extremely buggy, I'm not going to lie. However the payouts are good and customer service is great, so if you encounter a problem, they will fix it. I put in 1mBTC and turned it into 20mBTC in 4 or so hours. They payed out Cheesy

Interesting stuff. Gambit doesn't look like it has much going on....Gamerholic looks pretty active, but like you said its pretty buggy. Are you doing gamerholic on your phone or computer?
2  Economy / Gambling / Fun/Arcade games to win? on: January 29, 2014, 05:54:24 PM
Haven't found any after searching, but figured i'd ask. Is any place offering arcade-like games where you can win BTC? I remember awhile back their was a website that had space invader and other classics, and you could win BTC if you had the highest score of the day.

I don't remember what the website was called, but i'd imagine it would be offline now. With the price of BTC/USD going up, i don't think their would be any website that offered arcade-like games....probably only traditional casino games.

Anyone know of any? slim chance but just curious.

This is a warning to all. Do not buy from KennethLBell.

A few weeks ago I was interested in buy bitcoin, but didn't want to wait the week for Coinbase. I made a WTB thread looking for bitcoin, and since i've been scammed before I wanted to use paypal in case. He messaged me that he was selling, and we worked out a deal. Here is his only for sale thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=392681.msg4233509#msg4233509

Shady, I know. But since I was using Paypal, I was slightly reassured. We agreed on a deal, and I paid him.....then I didn't hear from him for 3 days, nor did I get the BTC that I paid for. Obviously I knew it was a scam, but since it was new years (it was actually, Jan 1st) I decided to give it a extra day or, because I know people are out celebrating. Finally on the 4th day he contacts me and apologizes. I figured whatever, and we message plenty to figure things out. He says his Paypal is locked up, and can't access it. I know this is most likely true because at the same time I was doing another paypal-btc purchase, and that user had the same thing happen (eventually I did receive my btc from that guy). So we actually agree on a second deal, larger volume, and of course I pay him.

A day goes by, 2 days go by, 3, you get the picture. No communication from him, and no bitcoin sent to me. However on Paypal, he marked one of the transactions as "shipped".....electronicly....I'm thinking, What? I've paid you, and haven't received anything, but your marking things as electronically shipped?

I haven't heard from him in 9 days. He hasn't responded to any of my messages since 9 days ago. However he has logged onto here plenty of times, and then logs off without responding to my messages. If his paypal account is locked up, then i'm fine with patience, i've already waited 2 weeks since I sent him my first payment. But I need to be kept in the loop, as he obviously does not respond.

I am thankful that I used paypal. I just opened up 2 disputes, and will keep this thread posted on what happens.

KennethLBell, if your reading this. Why don't you respond here, since you obviously chose to ignore my messages. But I highly doubt you'll do any of it, and paypal will end up having to take control. What happened to the clear communication we originally had? or did you do that because you knew you were getting paid. And once you had the money you chose to ignore and not deliver the BTC. So what if you gave me a good deal on buying BTC, its not a deal if one person gets paid and the other gets nothing. If you want to send the BTC, go ahead and i'll cancel the dispute when I receive it. But I doubt you will.

I made a scammer thread on KennethLBell. Paid him 2 weeks ago, still hasn't delivered the BTC. He stopped responding to my messages 9 days ago. I bought through paypal, good for me, just opened 2 disputes for the 2 transactions I had with him.

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 20BTC FOR $300 USD DETAILS INSIDE on: January 12, 2014, 07:21:15 AM
sorry for the caption but i need everyone to read this i have noticed ALOT of members being scammed and ALOT of scammers working this forum over the last few weeks new members please dont trade with other new members you will get scammed 9/10 times please STAY AWAY FROM PAYPAL i repeat DO NOT SEND PAYPAL FOR BTC OR RECEIVE PAYPAL FOR BTC you will get scammed 9/10 times your account will get limited and you will lose your BTC always use ESCROW with new members or members who arent trusted see the trust button on the buttom of everyones name? use it and read it use the proper judgement and you will not get scammed

As you quote 9/10, please don't forget the 1/10 who can ONLY use PayPal to buy BTC and that have no intention to charge back. Don't let some ruin it for others!

Agreed. At a point in time, scammers weren't prevalent like they are now. They used to be the minority, however as we all see they are the majority.

Their are a few of us out there who are legitimate, honest users who use (or only option is) Paypal.
7  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Buy-Bitcoin4Less Safe&Secured on: January 11, 2014, 07:40:02 PM
A heads up to everyone. I did 2 deals with "KennethLBell". Its now coming up on 2 weeks since I sent him my first payment for Bitcoin, and almost 10 days since my second payment. Still haven't seen any BTC. He stopped responding to my messages 6 days ago, even though hes logged in a few times since. Thankfully for me, I paid through paypal, and I have everything well documented.

I would advise people to not deal with "KennethLBell". Either buy elsewhere, or see how this situation is resolved.

Oddly enough, he doesn't respond to my messages, but he marked one of my payments as "Shipped" (specifically: Online Website delivery) on paypal? doesn't make any sense right?

"KennethLBell", if your reading this, I will gladly remove/edit this posting if I receive the Bitcoin that I paid for.

10  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 22 Bitcoin... Must escrow. or cash in person on: January 07, 2014, 04:44:52 AM

So far, only .78 is in my wallet.

Will update if/when the rest is received.
11  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 22 Bitcoin... Must escrow. or cash in person on: January 07, 2014, 04:34:20 AM
Wow, this is low. So I wait close to 8 days, and don't get the full amount of bitcoin that I actually paid for?

This is the message he just sent.

I sent .078 i think... Also when u sent paypal they took 20 fee, but thought it would be ok to split so you still are making profitt on the bitcoin. hope all is ok. i am sorry for delay that big transaction caused me lots of crazyness. Can you please correct your post/? Again im sorry for delay.

Thats just sketchy.....you agreed to the paypal deal after all. If someone pays for .93 BTC, would they expect to receive .93 BTC?

I'm not changing any posting until we get this resolved.

wait did he send 0.078 or 0.78

In following messages, it was .78

Still nothing on my end. I'm waiting to actually see it in my wallet. Before I edit any postings......If this situation actually gets resolved....

MikeCorleone, today marks 1 week since I've paid you for .93 BTC. and i've yet to see it. You've ignored my last few messages, but yet you've actively been on here selling these 22 BTC. Lets all see if you'll even respond to this post.

The last message you sent me...

totally understand bro. I have your coin. Will be sending it in a few minutes. I'm busy right this second with a transaction meeting place. Stay online if you can.

That was yesterday afternoon, its coming up close to 24 hours since then. Few minutes? really?

Why blatantly ignore me after we already struck a deal? let alone me already paying you.

For all those reading this....this is my scammer thread about him.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=394929.msg4337179#msg4337179

I would be willing to edit/remove this post, if I simply get the BTC that I paid for.
14  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: So...did I get scammed? on: January 06, 2014, 02:50:24 AM
Update:

Well, after my most recent update (the post above) I haven't heard from him for another 3 days. Today, I finally  hear something, and now its been silence ever since. Still waiting to get the BTC I paid for...

I don't get it, tomorrow will be 1 week. How long does it take to send someone a bitcoin? Even if you can't, communication would still be helpful, instead of being left in the dark not knowing whats going on..............or end up making a thread (this one  Tongue ) trying to figure out if you got scammed or not.
15  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CEX.IO NEW Terms of Service today on: January 05, 2014, 08:48:28 PM
Correction, I said today, but it actually goes into effect 2/4/2014.
16  Economy / Service Discussion / CEX.IO NEW Terms of Service today on: January 04, 2014, 08:33:00 PM
CEX.IO will be implementing their new terms of service of 2/4/2014. After reading it, its alot of basic stuff that has them generally covering themselves and making sure users are competent enough to understand what they are doing.

Here's one bit that i'm curious about...

DUE DILIGENCE

Before the publication of the first demand you should send to us:

1) a valid government issued ID, acceptable high quality images of documents are: - international passport (double page) - national ID card (both sides) - driver's license (both sides)

2) a proof of residency, acceptable scanned images of paper documents are: - bank statement - utility bill for utilities consumed at your home address - tax return, council tax - certificate of residency issued by a government or a local government authority You can also submit other documents to serve as proof of residency such as; government-issued documents, judicial authority-issued documents, documents issued by a public agency / authority, utility service company, or similar regulated service providing companies.

So.....publication of the first demand? i'm interpreting this as the first deposit/withdrawal? correct me if i'm wrong. And then to add to that, what about existing users?

Overall this seems like they are tightening up security and strengthening verification.

The entire new Terms of Service can be found on their website.

Good insight. That's tough to hear though. 1 dispute but 2 different payments. I hope it works out.

A update on my situation. Its been almost 3 days but communication has been reestablished. I will use this thread as a update so we can see how it all goes.
18  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: So...did I get scammed? on: January 02, 2014, 12:51:21 AM
once you file a dispute instantly paypal hold sellers funds and give him 7days of time to refund or send your product.
But if he didnt replied within 7days paypal will automatically deducted money from his account and added to your account.

1 week window, gotcha.
19  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: So...did I get scammed? on: January 02, 2014, 12:49:57 AM
With all that being said (which is very helpful), I'll probably go with the paypal dispute. But heres 2 questions.

1) How long does a paypal dispute generally take? i don't expect to hear from him, so i'd rather just speed up the process and have them make a decision.

2) I thought paypal wasn't the biggest fan of bitcoin, will that effect the dispute at all?

How did you send him money?  I didnt dig through all the other threads so sorry if you said it somewhere already.  Did you send as gift to friend or as a payment for a service?

Paid for as services. Not as gift.
