Perhaps reach out to Bryon Penner? He worked on keeping the coin going on his site atomic-trade.com, which turned into banx.io, and finally www.coinigy.com (senior developer there). Or, desperately reach out to BillyM2k (Dogecoin dev) that initially worked on this coin (before dogecoin). A bump from him would obviously be good. I think they changed their username however. Doesn't seem the coin is being actively mined anymore however. Good luck!

Been a while since I posted here.
Looks like Honey is getting some small attention with PoW phase over and full PoS going forward. I've held this year+ so far and plan to continue to do so.
Still holding strong.
LET'S GO!
Honey is Money!!

My (nearly) yearly check-in. Yeah, the chains still moving.

What's going on here, is someone trying to bring this coin back to life?
My wallet is syncing up, but I'm a little worried that the people that have been staking already control a huge chunk of the coins (94k in one account and 10k in another), my guess they are the people wanting to bring the coin back to life also. So don't get too excited to see on an exchange in the future because it'll like be a pump/dump.

Due to a server error, please do not fork any of your coins. If you already forked, but you still have coins in the old blockchain then please wait for confirmation that everything is ok. Then start the fork process again and create new addresses (for ETH and for XGR burning address as well). Yep. Feels so scam-like. Selling all coins. Thanks for the fun! Edit: Let me explain. The swap doesn't make sense in the way that we have no real confirmation that the "burn addresses" generated are actually burn addresses. It could very well be an address you control. This could have been setup with a realistic burn address like GXXXXBURNADDRESSXXXXXX342K or whatever. There's also a whole 17 addresses in that contract, so nobody else is really trusting you. Your original account was apparently hacked, so how can I even trust you?

Sorry, can't wait any longer for the official announcement. People here are getting restless. Basically, Honey is teaming up with https://cryptocollectibles.io/https://twitter.com/collectiblesdev/status/961093984578875393This will allow more developers to converge on working on multiple coins at once (more devs for Honey!), alongside promotions for these multiple staking coins. I'm sure there are more details with an official announcement, but I had to put this out there with what I know. Just keep staking!
|
|
|
This might be a stupid question as this is one of the first staking coins I'm getting into, but what's the point of the "getstakesubsidy" rpc command. Shouldn't staking profits be automatically added to my balance?
I dunno really. Did a quick Archie Query Form search and found this: https://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/4422su/raw_commands_for_staking/
I tried asking Jeeves but he just ignored me, just muttered something about a Lycos Excite burger with a side of Dogpile, sounds very gross.

Oh Cheapcoin, how I hate you.
I have a bunch in my wallet and tried moving some over to CE a few days ago but only had 5 confirmations for days on end. So I just re-opened the wallet again today and suddenly staked 7 blocks. Woa. Turns out, if I send some coins somewhere, close the wallet and re-open, it'll stake some and move the chain along. I tried to just mine it (I know there are no rewards) just to get it to move without any luck. This seems to be the only way I can get things moving again. So, the wallet is crap. Oh, the coin is crap too.

It was only a matter of time before we saw the price spike like it has in the last 24 hours. The chart looked good and a break out was due at anytime and today was that time. Now we just need to see where the project is heading in the future which could help the price remain stable and even rise even further. I hope the dev can find time to post an update here soon as I know he is busy on Coinexchange as a mod and also with his other project Blas.
Nope, it was not a pump and dump, but just someone interested in the coin thru 1.5 btc or more into the coin to just buy. Don't get too excited yet. There's still no big buy support. If anything, I hope whomever bought up those stacks realizes the staking is great. Transfer to local wallet and just keep on staking!

Hi, I bought this coin at .001 cent. Sold back enough to make my money back. Going to hold the rest because of all the drama going on here. The thread is a real soap opera! Never accidentally walked into something like this, usually was on the other side where I was truly invested and was screwed over by devs, fud, or the trading platform. So, I do know how it feels, but I'm sort of out of the loop on the details, could anyone sum up wtf is going on? Love you.
Just go thru this thread and all the information is detailed out with extensive proof. Take care. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2424624.msg24810549#msg24810549Just saw a huge wall of text, bolded, mostly red. So I just sold, lol. Thanks! Good luck to you all!

I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to me--I didn't realize I was using improper forum etiquette--I just had been struggling into the wee hours of the morning figuring out how to fix the blockchain in my wallet and wanted all the other features of the coin operational. I am successfully staking, pool mining, and enjoying being a part of honey coin now. Thank you for your help and warm welcome, albeit with a lesson. Please don't misunderstand this, the new account thing is mainly for people messaging others wanting them to invest or check out their coin. Sending someone a message asking for help with a coin should never be affected by anything other than the person that was asked being willing to help. That is what this forum is for afterall, people getting together and sharing their ideas and projects while talking about them. New accounts more than any other should be able to get this help without having to spend months or years here first in order to get a response. Yes, I should have explained more. Direct messages from newbie accounts get flagged in the inbox as basically spam. I nearly ignored the message but realized it was regarding a question about Honey. I hope I was not inferring that "how dare you talk to me up on my high horse", lol, that was definitely not the case. If you have any more questions terratian, just post them here, plenty of people are willing to help you out. Honey price is good, but right now I'm more impressed with the volume.

Hi-- I have successfully read the entire honey thread and finally figured out how to get my wallet setup and successfully synced with the bc. I transfer coin in from a pool miner and a coin exchange. I would like to stake the coin but I cant figure out how to do it in the wallet and have found nothing on google or in the thread. Can you take a minute and tell me?
Highest Regards
Not a huge fan of replying to new accounts. Perhaps you should up your rating by posting some more before direct messaging someone. However, I love Honey. Transfer what you have to your wallet, keep the wallet open all times on that computer and you will eventually stake some additional Honey. Easy as that. If you have a small amount it may seem it takes long, but that's because your stake weight is related to how much you own in your wallet. The best ratio I can explain is that about 1k Honey will give you about 100 Honey per month. So with the price in mind, that may be $20-$60 per month, basically 100 HONEY. Yes, just keep that STAKING for a build-up of more and more coins. Passive, free, money, HONEY!

Hi!
Could someone explain to me what this project is about? And is it still actively being developed? I look at the tweets from the dev and they seem a while ago, and the website is not working.
This person has a good point. There should be an active website (as with any other credible or active coin). A few models can be found with Bulwark, Amsterdamcoin, or Polytimos -- if a site with bling is desired. --Or-- it can go the route of https://spectreproject.io/ or http://cthulhuofferings.tk/ . I prefer the latter styles (as less gentrified and -- in my view -- more authentic), but the dev should make a design that he likes IMO and keep it maintained. Perhaps, if necessary, a bounty might be offered to bring something about(?). For the most part I hate grammar nazis or people that critique spelling, I generally believe if you understand what is being communicated that is good enough. However, I can't get past your usage of "gentrified" in your statement. Please understand the meaning to a word before using the word. In response to your message, there will be some news soon, so wait for the (very dedicated) developer to bring that news to us. Not so long ago I saw a wordpress template on the site regarding Honey, so they are still working on an updated version, so be patient.

Thanks, I was able to get it fully synced using a download link that was provided in the discord chat.
I shouldn't relink it here since it wasn't posted by the dev, so it may or may not be correct.
But it works and I can send to/from coinexchange.io
dev should address this as soon as he's back, a new user shouldn't have to do any voodoo just to get the blockchain synced.
Power of Voodoo? Who do? YOU DO!

Old Premine wallet: GKYjhVaQFyXmQmvTnPJBp3G4imdLjTLUQh Because of some issues with the block explorer I had to move the premine to another address New Premine wallet: GRLspD83zqonHEZLicETwXbtcsUJynrC9n I use this wallet to pay for bounties, marketing and to buy Gold so it will slowly depleting! Premine stake wallet: GW2Bneyh2gaCkKfuBMY4TaLg9KcXAjeYvV This wallet holds the majority of the premine, it is there for staking! IPO1 wallet: GMCA4KpVbRLBYJzTPHWGxgyQTCkeBQqPfi IPO2 wallet: GeHLq23RxjTLLeLJDK7HX3MvGTkuQwyzHr IPO3 wallet: GedqbJSeTi4afZmRxkP7RKUSd2tbQX6Uhi
I'm assuming that's a quote from the dev. So that's like 2.5m coins, worth $50k if you could dump all at once. So with not seeing a dump by now that gives some credence to the dev I suppose. Good to know. Is there an expiration date when coins cannot be swapped any longer? Are we going to be able to swap after the token gets created? If a bunch of people don't swap, there's going to be a lot of tokens held again by the dev (unless they are sent to a burn address).
|
|
|
Finally ! Thank you. It's been almost 1 year since i asked the dev in vain ... Yup. The reason I did this is because I wanted to keep track of the coins sent for the token swap. I'm feeling like it's a little bit shifty, even though when I see other coins switching to tokens the same method is being used. The biggest red flag is that I don't see a token address. When I search etherscan I see this one: https://etherscan.io/token/0xa7a3de21f9505eaa8a4d34ae2d5497f8d5df35c2 which seems to correspond to the timing and amount. Dev, can you verify if this the correct contract?
There was also some talk about the coins that were supposed to be burned or are dev coins? Does anyone know that address? I can dig into the actual explorer if needed (only on local machine right now).
