But does it really matter if somebody was double payed or not?
We know that after he claimed to have double payment issues and vanished from the interwebs, the the pool account was constantly emptied.. (sold off / moved)
So lets just do the thought experiment. Lets say he had real double payment issues:
When that happened he;
1. Decided that best and most responsible action towards his customers(as he claims to be in his later posts) was to "abort ship".
2. BUT however.. continue to move away the coins that his customers continue to mine through his pool.
3. Dont tell ANYBODY that the pool had issues, so he could keep moving our coins away??
Im no lawyer.. but in my head this is a scam either way..

Dogecoin is almost week on top of the most profitable coins for mining .... this situation is like sent from heaven to you, PHONETIC!!! You could mine it back (with pool and double payment miners) if you don't behave the way like you show us now.
We know only one big NOTHING from you.
In case you will try hard, you can mine it back, maybe even get debt discount, what do you want more?
Please start informing us about your progress every single day.
I highly doubt we will hear from him again :\ His "petty me" speach didn't fit with all the effort being done in the other thread to follow the transactions. (or reality for that matter..) Since the doge's we mined were moved away from the holding account regularly there's no use trying to continue that speach.. Even he have to realize that nobody will believe him. And if we now think back. Do we know that anybody got double payed? It would be a great cover for all the payment issues etc. And thereby letting his users become used to the fact that there is a lot of issues, but he always comes back to fix it. (kinda same deal on doge.cryptohash.it, where i also lost coins) |

Almost everyone here believes me to be a scammer.
Please believe me when I tell you all that I am truly sorry for the dogecoins that are owed to you.
Another pool operator has been very kind to me over these past few days and is helping me get through this. You have no idea how badly I feel about this situation. It is draining the life out of me every second of every day.
My words may mean nothing to most of you, but this is the truth.
It is not possible for me to purchase the amount of dogecoins that are owed to many of the miners of my pool. When I first realized this, I abandoned my ship. It was foolish for me to do this and the fact that I did that will make it much harder for anyone to believe a word out of my mouth. I don't blame you but please, read my thread from the beginning, and I hope you can see from the start I gave my pool everything I had.
The person I am working with has encouraged the idea of reopening my pool and has agreed to run it with me to make sure there are no issues with double payouts. Any owed balances will be paid using any and all fees that my pool collects. If / when the owed balances are settled in full, the person who is helping me will take full control of the pool. You will no longer have to deal with me. I'm not cut out for this, and I realize that. This was my first pool and will be my last pool. This is a terrible situation for all of my miners and I'm sorry that I couldn't fix the problems with my pool.
It's not easy coming to this forum and reading the things people are saying. I'm not a bad person. I've done right my whole life. I will do everything I can to right this ship and make things right.
Im not saying you were a scammer to start with. You started to be a scammer when you went off grid. Knowing that your pool were F**ked. and nobody were getting payed. "Knowing that clients wont be payed, and not telling" If thats not a scam, what is it? 1. Make everybody believe everything will be fixed asap. 2. Disapear, leaving all the miners to mine for your failed pool with no info. 3. come back and say that "everything is gone. even that wich were mined in the weeks after the original reason-explained" And why did you ever pay doge's yourself? Im pretty sure most other pools solves these things by either giving the people who got payed double minus dogecredits, so they have to mine back their already gotten coins befor getting new. Or by donations. Im pretty sure if you had asked we would all tip in a bit to get it on the wheels again. There is too much holes in your story.. If the double payments were the only issue. where is all the doge's mined after that? your site went offline a few days back. until that people still had faith that you would have said something to us if anything were wrong... |

i was half hoping Phonetic was being silent just to be a dick. since the start there have been scores of people calling him and his pool a scammer for no reason. these tools need to learn that shit goes wrong life happens, and not everything is a scam. and this thread isnt the only one. as soon as something happens that's out of the ordinary, a bunch of idiots will yell scam, even if they have no proof, and 99.9% of the time they dont. even when there are posts clearly stating that things will get fixed and whatnot, these idiots still post scam scam scam. just shut the hell up, read the thread, something you probably were too stupid to do, and get some proof before yelling scam. that word is forever ruined for me because of these idiots.
But you are totally missing the picture here.. He has double payment issues around 24th.. so.. if he cant pay anybody.. Why didnt he: 1. Take his pool offline. 2. Inform on troubles on the site to make people leave for other pools (if he is not lying with his last info that 500 MHash made shit hit the fan) Failing both of these DOES lead to scamming suspicion.. So your "baseless scammer namecalling" is the baseless statement.. If you have a failed service and are (mis)-handling value of some kind of a customer, and you know you cant pay the customer. you shut it down, until fixed.. or at least informs so the customer can choose to either continue to mine with the risk of not earning anything.. or move to a different pool to actually get paid. And to relieve the pool of its activity to help on the issues.. And then the last and most revealing hint that this is a scam.. I have said it many times. but here it goes again. This pool had over 2.5GHash per second a long time.. ALOT of coins have been mined after his double payment issues.. Where is these doge's if he have to "get new coins" to pay us back? IF THESE ARE GONE. its because _he_ removed them.. easy as that. |

Seeing as Phonetic started to respond in this thread again, I will remove my bounty for the identification until I see what happens, instead the 5k can be put towards the bounty for getting my doges back.
I don't want to be part of unmasking phonetics identity since some posters here seems to be slightly unbalanced.
It will also be very interesting to see how things go from here. Phonetic has at least shown up again, which to me is a good sign, now the question becomes if he will do what he can to pay out the doges due or simply buy more time to disappear.
I am giving him the benefit of the doubt as I guess he is in the same boat as many of us. That means he is new to the scene, and just wanted to make a quick buck not quite knowing how the mining system works.
He says he got in over his head after the pool passed 500MH/s, at which point I am guessing he had to learn a lot about server administration faster than he had ever anticipated, not to mention how the scripts running the sites works. Now you can argue that many other sites are running the same, or similar, scripts and that they are readily available, but that doesn't mean they are bug free and don't have back doors.
From my personal experience with the quality of plugins to Jenkins CI, a continuous integration server used for testing software, there are a lot of bugs and shitty code in an enviroment where you would expect things to be tested and verified. Comparing that with the wild west of crypto currency mining, where everyone is out for a quick buck and not always in an honest way, I see absolutely no reason for the software&plugins to have have few bugs and scale well with no back doors! (Even this forums software has bugs in the timing of postings, warning of posting duplicates etc)
My suggestion to Phonetic to try and clear things up here would be to open a github account and post all the configuration files, along with what versions of which software was used, letting the people saying they are IT professionals go over them and verify the problems. That would be a token of good faith, and a way for others to get involved instead of being kept in the dark.
Clear things up? He reported double payment issues around 25th.. He had a 2.5GHash mining pool in 2 weeks after that... Generating alot of coins after the fuckup. Where are these coins? and why cant he pay back what he have? This case still stinks if you ask me.. And i think the Bounty was the only reason for Phonetic to buy more time to get away with it all. Scrypt Pools had many problems and many coins were lost due to multiple payout problems.
I was in over my head the moment the pool went past 500 mh/s.
I did my best to keep it running but I failed. I'm embarassed and truly sorry.
I will find a way to get enough doges to process the rest of the payouts and reinstate my credibility.
Im sorry.. But this is BS... What about all the doge's we as your dark-pool's stupid miners have mined SINCE the double payment issues etc? If they are gone aswell. you have to have stolen them. as it happend afterwards.. |

I only had 30799 DOGE in the pool befor it went dark.
But I'll put 20799 DOGE of them into retrieval pot.
And ill put up 20K DOGE instantpay for identity revealing

Anybody have a rough guess of how much money Phonetic ran away with?
As for now, nothing. Because i think evereyone still got their coins. But we just can`t get em out. Why on earth to do you think that? When Phonetic have been active 1 or several times after payments stopped. He knows, and he just dont want to tell us. And he wants the people who still mines for him to continue. Remember he still have a 0.4GHash miner, all for himself.. If it had been OUR doge's, we would have them in OUR account... :\ |

I've registered to post in this thread after reading it for a while.
First I want to thank Phonetic for a very good job done on his pool!
Scryptpools made me more DOGES than any other pool. This pool was smoking hot just a few days ago.
People lining up to pay 2% with their 1Mhz+ rigs, asking for invites because we all knew: Scryptpools with Phonetic is the place to be!
I've studied the scripts the pools run on and as a php developer I can tell you that the code doesn't scale well for many simultaneous users.
Especially when you're under a DDOS attack, which many of the popular DOGE pools suffered from.
Phonetic has been doing his best to keep the pool going, and so far he has always kept his word.
I've been a fan of his work ethics. Combined with the payout of the site... this pool was golden.
Then the attacks came, and once while working on a fix I see Phonetic coming back to this thread being accused by people of being a scammer.
From that moment on everything that went wrong was proof he was a scammer.
This was just before or on Christmas.
Let's say he has a loving family, wanting him to be with them... and he has us... a pool of people accusing him of being a scammer.
Would you sacrifice your family's joy over a gang of people accusing you?
I think that IF Phonetic runs of with our DOGES, it will be because we made him do it. By constantly repeating he's a scammer.
If you keep telling something to someone, they may start to believe in it...
So how about we all turn this thing 180 degrees and get things up and running again.
Because we all know that this is one of the best pools when things work as they should.
First, let's assume he installed or configured a script that did pay out people too much.
To those that are not familiar with mining pool software... There is no single-install solution. You'll have to mix and match some scripts, who are cloned by many people with different features. Some turn out to have errors. Like paying out too little or too much.
So the pool is in debt because it paid some users too much, who may either stay quiet or just think they got lucky.
We can fix this debt the pool has by all chipping in. We could all donate 50 or 100 percent for a few hours of mining.
Yes we would give away our coins, but as DOGE miners and holders it wouldn't hurt to act as a community and help rebuild one of our foundations.
That could help strengthen the DOGE community vibe. And a better DOGE vibe could lead to a better DOGE exchange rate:)
Let's all stick our DOGES together and defeat the obstacles ahead!
But when all comes to all.. When no owner information is available. and Admins/Support/mods fails to respond... They just start looking like black-scamming-pools. who let users continue to mine without getting payed. Essentially having a great huge miner for themselves. Doge.cryptohash.it is a great example of this.. Admins were active for several weeks fixing all issues until they stopped responding. Then it was a black-scammer pool for a month or so. befor going off ther ineternet. (i havent read any updates on this. but i lost over 40K doge on that pool because i gave those admins the benefit of the doubt, since they were active "only days prior" - And i still havent recieved anything from them..). I have no idea if this is the same issue.. But how can we know for sure it isnt? And thats the reason people are skeptical i would think... |

guys still minig on that pool with high kh rate.....what u think guys  its over? scryptpools = scam? I would at least register on another pool and mine there until this thing is resolved. He answered in the beginning. but its strange that nobody is responding in many days.. Change pool and hope for the best. thats what im doing at least. i changed the pool mate but ive 280k stuck in pool mate...  oh im really sorry  I had a good load in doge.cryptohash.it befor admin there dissapeared with all our coins. after that i set autopayment to slighly over minimum value and been skeptical if autopayments stopped coming trough. but it seems i have again lost a good pile on a pool with this one. But lets hope Phonetic comes trough at last. |

within days they went from an actual value, to nothing "?".
NxtCoin seems like a scam, just like Worldcoin (early mining by owners), Feathercoin (same doops as worldcoin?) and Ripple (all "coins" are premined, so its NOT a cryptocurreny, just a lousy attempt to rip people of their money)
If people just do some research befor they select a "currency".
They would be much better of.
Try to google:

Automatic payments does not seem to be completed anymore. It seems i went over the automatic trigger over 6 hours ago with no payments arriving. Cron job out of order? Merry christmas to all od doge.scryptpools.com though  awesome job so far. -Bane |

No payments since issues on sunday.
And admins arent responding anywhere.
I would strongly suggest that everybody change pool until every credit from these guys are payed back. This whole thing smells bad. If it was technical difficulty they would be answering both here in thread and on email. They arent.. :\

I can confirm this..
Sunday alot of suspicious stuff happened. Numbers did not match up. and shares did not transfer to doge credits in doge.cryptopool.it. But after some hours it started working again so i didnt really think much about it. Since many pools have been ddos attacked etc. But i set it to payment and continue mining.
Monday after 24h was passed with no payment i got really worried. offlined my miners and changed the pool.
I have now well over 30K DOGE credits there, still nothing transferred to me..
DO NOT MINE at doge.cryptopool.it
There is no information and nothing.. If this was NOT a scam. i think the admins would keep us informed on whats happening...
