I am trying to set up a linux wallet, but whaterver I put in the wallet configuration file just get ignored by the wallet.
I see in the log that the same filename and path is used.
Any tips?

EDIT: Also tried to update my windows wallet to 1.2.0.1 and that also ignores all settings in the config file.
I found the problem. Again some editor formatting issue with the configuration file. I deleted the file, and generated a new one with "one click mining" option Rgds John |

I have a hard time understanding how to debug the tithing.
I have tithe=1 and gen=1 in the config.
I have about 400.000BBP in the wallet mined over a year now.
I run PODC.
But my wallet has only tithed twice over a week.
I keep reading this thread over and over, but find it hard to figure out where to look for solutions.
Does anybody know where to start debug?
If I understand this correctly, I should be able to tithe once a day atleast.

I did update to 1.1.3.8c but the wallet never starts. It's been sitting for more than two and a half hours at "Loading block index".
Id did the wallet cleanup process after I installed the latest.
Last line in debug.log is: 2018-07-04 10:58:09 LoadBlockIndexGuts 1530701889.000000 2018-07-04 12:37:26
Should I just revert to 1.1.3.7 for now?
The wallet seems to consume up to about 1,7GB of memory before going back down to about 1GB, and just going in circles with that.

How on earth does one make a btc deposit to C-CEX?  It says there should be a generate address button, but I can't find it anywhere. Any hints? I was ready to buy some extra BBP today, but can't find the wallet address on C-CEX... I think CCEX is on vacation. Southxchange and Qiex should be working. What Ive learned through trial and error is if you have already clicked the Generate Address button, you can make deposits while they are in limited mode. But you can only press the generate address button and the withdraw BTC button if they are in full mode. If anyone sees full mode please let us all know. Thank you. Moved over to qiex. Alot easier to set up  |

I have re associated my wallet to R@H.

I'm not exactly sure but I think - since your last superblock payment was 0 - you have to wait until after the next superblock (PODC payment), which is 44895. Again it's strange that your getboincinfo shows mag>0, but payment 0.  Funny, I did get payed on last superblock:  Check to see if your 'exec getboincinfo' has only One CPID in it (not 2 with semicolons in it), and 2) that the machine that is pool mining is using the same wallet.dat that got that 172 bbp PODC reward last night? One of these things must not be true, as there is always a reason technologically that this would happen. #3, what exactly is your mag, is it greater than .01? (We might have a .01 low barrier). #1: Only 1 CPID. #2 The main wallet(POW) was not the receiver of the PODC reward, that was the second wallet, hence the 0 superblock payment report. That was reversed today with re-associating the main wallet with R@H credentials, and shutting down and uninstalling the second wallet. #3 Mag is 0.15 I'll wait until next superblock to see if everything becoumes ok. |

Funny, I did get payed on last superblock: Did you really? Is the PODC payment transaction in your wallet (as immature balance)? The biblepay-central page only calculates magnitude/1000*(total PODC payment). While this is in general quite a good approximation it doesn't really account for the coins you actually received.  Yes I did!   EDIT: Ahh... I think I know what's going on. I reassociated the R@H CPID with exec associate [username] [password] true So now I see the adresses are different, so it might be like you say, that I have to wait until the superblock before POW mining again. |

Yes I did set up a second wallet according to biblepay-central.org instructions.
It says that you can POW mine with multiple wallets. Just copy wallet.dat and add utxooverride=-1 to the config.
So if I understand correctly that is not the case?
Oh well... better disable the second wallet and hope things return to normal.
Yes, this is definitely possible (I'm currently using that method myself). However you have to remember that your second wallet (the one that you copy to all your POW miners) also has to be connected to a (different) CPID which has to solve some BOINC jobs. Otherwise that won't work. So I can use the main(staking) wallet.dat on different computers, but I have to make a second account at R@H to have another CPID and associate that wallet with a unique CPID and set up Boinc to use the second account? (Sorry for being noob). BTW how long time for the status on the leaderboard to change? |

So, this didn't go as planned.... I get two error messages on the leaderboard, CPID_HAS_NO_MAGNITUDE and CPID_SIGNATURE_INVALID Also, all the hash is reported as errernous work. From the main wallet: 09:23:16

Wait a minute, so you do have 2 different wallets, one for PODC and one for POW? In order to heat mine you have to have mag>1 on the very wallet you want to do POW with, otherwise it won't work. Additionally this wallet has to be unlocked. Furthermore the main problem is that your last superblock payment was 0, therefore your current mag is 0 and you are not "allowed" to heat mine. This is an issue that has been discussed here before and I too am not happy with it, but it is how it is. So the question would rather be why you didn't get paid yesterday. Your UTXOweight seems ok to receive some payment. Please check your wallet for the last PODCupdate transactions and whether there was a large gap (>24h) inbetween them. I see you also use WCG. Unfortunately I have no idea how this comes into play since I haven't used it yet, maybe someone else can find an error there. I need a little advice: I have set up a second wallet to make it heatmine to pool.biblepay.org But it does not seem to get going. What I've done: Added a new worker to pool.biblepay.org Downloaded and installed the wallet on the second machine. Copied the wallet.dat and biblepay.conf from the main wallet. You have a wrong edit/typo in your config: pool_url": " http://pool.biblepay.org\rutxooverride=-1 Did you edit the config on windows and copy it to Linux? Obviously this line should end with *.org and after a line break the new line should start with utxo... Other than that you should be good to go. I need a little advice: I have set up a second wallet to make it heatmine to pool.biblepay.org But it does not seem to get going. What I've done: Added a new worker to pool.biblepay.org Downloaded and installed the wallet on the second machine. Copied the wallet.dat and biblepay.conf from the main wallet. Added to biblepay.conf: utxooverride=-1 Modified worker in biblepay.conf Started the wallet and synced. What am I missing? Please advice. 16:47:50

Ok, by just leaving the wallet with the error open for quite a while, it looks like it sorted itself. But my balance is wrong. I lost all my previously staked bbp. 14:57:05

If you view the transaction details in the 'Transactions' tab of your wallet, you can see the amount that has been staked with the latest transaction. It takes 6 blocks for the network to recognize your staking amount, so please check again in a few blocks. It should be fine then So I have left the wallet running for a good day now, and the balance is still not correct. The stake amount is reduced to current wallet balance. The adresses still have the right balances from before(staked), and it looks like only the recent transactions are displayed as wallet balance, not the balance in the actual adresses. Do I have to additionally run some commands to "activate" my old stake balance to get it to appear in my wallet? Latest output: 13:50:59

If the balance in your wallet is not showing correctly you could try a reindex. If that doesn't help, you could try to recover transactions. My knowledge is limited in this field, so if anyone has a better suggestion, please do tell. Go to: 'Tools > Wallet Repair' and then choose either 'Rebuild index' or 'Recover transactions 1'. Thank you! The recover transactions made everything up to par again! |
