1  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why other ban cryptocurrencies on: September 21, 2018, 02:07:29 PM
I see the fear is in the nature of the cryptocurrencies, as they are decentralized. Governments tend to keep as many things in one hand as possible and that is especially true for finance.
However, many governments and central banks are interested in implementing the technology behind it.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Why I am not sharing my crypto love? <3 on: September 21, 2018, 02:01:03 PM
Many just read some articles in the mainstream media and all they get is that if they have bought Bitcoin several years ago they would be millionaires by now.
However, the market does not work like that anymore and you do have to put some work and research in it to have some success.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks offering only 1.3% interest rates for Savings Account on: September 21, 2018, 01:49:53 PM
I think it is more or less the same here, not very enticing. Obviously, crypto investment can produce much higher rates, but you also have to count in the risk in those investments
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Politicians fear cryptocurrency because it will stop corruption. on: September 21, 2018, 01:46:44 PM
The ones who managed to steal money via corruption will find a way to do so even if there is a cryptocurrency revolution. And those leaders are usually fond of very centralized systems, so maybe the decentralized nature of crypto is what might make them suspicious.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: If Facebook promotes cryptocurrency, would it positively promote it? on: September 21, 2018, 01:43:47 PM
On the one hand, it would raise huge awareness that is for sure. It is tough to tell whether it brings an overall good light to the crypto, it also depends on how they would use the coin.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Single Bet Roulette Strategy on: August 23, 2018, 02:50:52 PM
Problem is with the strategies that casinos do not seem to like them... most of them I visited, you are not allowed to do so
7  Economy / Economics / Re: How did Crypto help you out? on: August 23, 2018, 02:45:40 PM
I would not say that it helped me financially until now, but I regained my interest and enthusiasm for something
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Politicians fear cryptocurrency because it will stop corruption. on: August 23, 2018, 02:44:27 PM
Lol, in many places politicians fear anything that is transparent in the business world... However, most of them are not really familiar with crypto just yet I think
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Is wallet security important to use? on: August 23, 2018, 02:42:09 PM
Of course it is important to secure the wallet in any possible ways. Like, you lock your car and take your actual wallet with you. And still, they could be stolen, it is the same in here I think. You should be as cautious as possible but there is still possibility to be hacked as always.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: ETF rejected on: August 23, 2018, 02:39:57 PM
And it did not really affect the price. I do not think that if it was approved alone would have brought mecca to the market.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin regaining dominance. on: August 23, 2018, 02:36:57 PM
It feels like it never really left its dominance. Still the omega in the cryptoworld and that is unlikely to change anytime soon in my opinion
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PURPOSE OF TOKEN? on: August 23, 2018, 02:34:28 PM
Fundamentally, there are two main types of coins:

- utility token: it has actually some role like paying with it within the platform or so. Think of a crypto casino for instance, where the coin acts like money to spend.

- security token: it is more like a regular bond, like you buy into a company. If the company performs well you are entitled to some interest with the token as you are the owner too.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you approve this strategy: sell alts buy btc? on: August 23, 2018, 02:30:49 PM
On a market like this it might not be wise. I would rather wait until it recovers a little bit, that might boost alts as well.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do with the current market? on: August 23, 2018, 02:28:54 PM
I am thinking to hold my capital in Bitcoin just for now. Hopefully the market will be on the rise once again soon but now altcoins are dead.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: what your opinion about this? on: August 23, 2018, 02:24:53 PM
They turned it down again, but the price does not seem to be affected to a very high extent. We have seen worse, so to say Cheesy
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How Do You Safely Secure Your Crypto Accounts Passwords Except in You Mail on: August 16, 2018, 12:59:47 PM
A good old trick: write it up to a paper that you keep securely. Of course it has downsides, e.g. not accessible anytime, but for a backup, it is not a bad idea.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Daily Fantasy Sports on: August 16, 2018, 12:56:45 PM
Thanks for the thread, and the tips, this has been on my mind for quite a long time too. Fantasy sports is really a huge industry mainly in the US, it makes sense to make it crypto-related too.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: August 16, 2018, 12:54:17 PM
To me it feels like with Ronaldo and Zidane gone, Real has lost its "killer instinct" that helped them a lot to those ECL titles. They are still a hack of a team though, Isco and Asensio could shine this season. But aside that I do not like him, CR was a true killer came elimination phase, instant danger for basically every team. ATM will be massive this year too though, most of their key players are in the best age.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are online gambling games fixed? on: August 16, 2018, 12:48:55 PM
On paper, trustworthy casinos cannot afford to cheat with games. There are heavy audits on the random generator system. However, I prefer live casino even online opposed to those "fruit machines".
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling addiction mainly due to loneliness and dissatisfaction? on: August 16, 2018, 12:44:10 PM
In my view, those issues could add up to the problem, but it is not necessarily general. I heard stories about wealthy people with families to lose basically everything gambling. There are many aspects, and every situation can differ a bit.
