1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Always Trust Project Whitepaper? on: August 15, 2018, 09:12:34 AM
I don't think that whitepaper does it for me, at least not anymore. While it might be a good way to gain insight on a project and see what is about, and also help in determining whether or not it is a good project, it doesn't just feel like it for me anymore. Maybe because I have come to realize that not all convincing whitepapers eventually succeed. We see that even scam projects have better whitepapers these days. It takes more for me to trust a project than just its whitepaper.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone explain to my why? on: August 14, 2018, 06:35:07 PM
I think the only people that have a reasonable explanation to this if it's true, is the coinbase people. There are responsible for their decisions and I want to believe that they have a reason why they include XRP on their exchange, but just for storage purposes and not to trade. It doesn't make sense though, seeing that all coins on exchanges are for trading purposes.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to Google to have their own coin ? on: August 14, 2018, 06:10:53 PM
there is a great possibility for this to happen, the owners just probably have to make up their mind about developing and owning a coin and it is going to be a huge success. It has all the chances that it needs and getting a promotion or the public's attention wouldn't be so much of a big deal. If google does create their own coin, it is going to succeed.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: One good thing about the crash on: August 13, 2018, 09:54:55 PM
I think one good thing about the crash is that it gives an opportunity for you to make better investments for yourself. Especially for the newbies, or those who were yet to get reasonable investments. This is a good chance to buy more coins, because a good percentage of them have their prices slashed, hence, cheaper to buy.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Reddit still a best way to use as a social media platform for ICOs? on: August 12, 2018, 09:00:23 PM
Reddit is a good way to promote any of these ICOs, but I don think that it is the best. My reason would be that reddit has a lot of rules for its subgroups, and this might sometimes be a disadvantage, as some of these rules might be quite difficult to follow, and when one doesn't exactly do what's needed, one's posts might be deleted or not accepted.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to sell AVINOC tokens? on: August 12, 2018, 08:58:01 PM
OK, I have haven't heard of this project until now, but I think you can sell them the same way you sell every other token. Make sure they are already enlisted in any of the exchanges, then you can trade them for any of your top coins and then convert to USD. It is as simple as that. However if it is not on any exchange yet, you might have to wait for that to happen.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How should i invest in altcoins on: August 11, 2018, 09:13:08 PM
Many investors has come to believe that making investments in altcoins is a good choice, and one that would be on for a long time, but while we are it, I would like to highlight that it is also a pretty good way to lose money, especially with so many bad coins that we have lying around. This is why one has to be careful with the choices they make, and never put in money you cannot afford to lose.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reading Whitepapers on: August 11, 2018, 08:14:22 PM
While it might be true that reading whitepaper is an important thing to do when considering a project, as it really gives insight as to what a project is about, and could go a long way into determining whether or not it is a good project, it is still something a lot of people consider a s a total bore and usually a long read, and don't bother themselves with it at all. Mostly, they go for the reviews, or just read a few lines.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HACKED, lost ETH, following any leads I can. Help appreciated. on: August 10, 2018, 05:44:08 PM
I'm sorry that you got hacked and probably lost some funds/ This would be heartbreaking for anyone and sorry that it happened to you. I really wish that there was something that could be done, but I honestly doubt that. I would just advise that you try to be more careful and safe guard your data, so this doesn't get to happen again.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Power Of Hold ! on: August 10, 2018, 05:12:57 PM
People are sleeping on the power of hodling and it is a sad thing to watch. When you see a coin that you love and believe that it has potential of succeeding in the market and having its value increased in a while, purchase it, and hodl it for as long as you ca. You will be surprised how your 50cent coin will be worth over a 100dollars tomorrow.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone share your strategy about investing cryptocurrency? on: August 09, 2018, 06:54:19 AM
Basically, my strategy about investing in cryptocurrency should be actually not having a strategy. The market is unpredictable, and I believe it is not something you have to make a specific plan for, because it  might change its cause at any time, and you might go wrong with your strategies if you use one. This is what I believe. So rather, I just take it one step at a time.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: now bear market again. wait for november on: August 09, 2018, 06:28:21 AM
November might even be too near a time. Except it is a bull that is not going to last a long time. I still feel that this bear market will take quite some time to take a turn. It is not entirely done yet, and might still be on for a little more time. We should be looking at a total death of this bear market next year. But for now, we might still have to struggle with it.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money on the fall of the market. on: August 07, 2018, 10:41:44 AM
The market might be falling, but you are not losing money until you sell. So I would advise that you hodl your coins through this time. Also, buy more of them if you have spare funds now that they are cheaper to buy. You will be making much more profits when the prices become stable and back up again.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ripple the currency of the future? on: August 06, 2018, 02:18:35 PM
Ripple might be such a good coin, but I don't think it is the currency of the future. Well, I can't exactly say for sure though, anything can and will happen. It just depends on how the market goes. Let's just wait patiently and see what the market has in store for us in the future.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to choose a new coin on: August 05, 2018, 09:40:56 PM
What coin are people talking about the most around you? what are they saying about them? Does it have a good team behind it, and is the project worth investing in? This are some of the questions that you might want to ask yourself before investing in a coin. If the answers are positive, you can then trust your intuitions, otherwise, stay clear.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much have you earned from Twitter bounty campaign? on: August 05, 2018, 09:09:58 PM
I haven't really participated in any of the twitter bounty campaigns, mostly, I do signature bounties, or airdrops. Twitter bounties seem to be quite a lot. It  comes with some instructions that isn't exactly favorable to many. For some, you have to have a certain number of followers to be able to gain something, for others, you are required to the a particular number of retweet to be asble to benefit from the tokens. So i rather do signature bounties.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 will be the year of Altcoins exploding. on: August 04, 2018, 10:34:59 AM
Maybe, Maybe not. More likely, I think not. This year is the year were all the coins struggle and try to get back on their feet. I'm thinking that next year or next next two years might b the time it actually skyrockets. I guess we just have to take some seats, grab some beer and wait patiently for whatever happens.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find and evaluate ICO's? on: August 04, 2018, 10:01:41 AM
There are many platforms and channels where you could find new ICOs or their announcement, and then you can decide on which one to follow. When you find one that interests you, it is best to do your research and then analysis on it before going ahead to invest in it. If you have doubts on it, then you might want to reconsider investing in it.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Can You Protect Ourselves From Scammers? on: August 03, 2018, 10:31:16 AM
There are a few tips that you might want to keep somewhere around your mind. Never send or share personal information with anyone. emails, private keys, passwords, anything personal. There is a reason why it is called personal in the first place. In addition, do not for any reason send someone who you do not know, money over the internet for whatever reason.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins to buy? on: August 03, 2018, 10:02:53 AM
The market looks like a good time to invest indeed, while it does look that way and we might want to actually invest, we should be careful with our choices cos there are lot of bad projects out there, or projects that are just worth short term investments only. I would however recommend these coins for anyone who is interested. XRP, TRX and waves.
