Then with the download folder should I just copy everything besides the invisible .ds file and copy it into the applications file on the MAC?
Just replace them? Even the addr.dat file?

snailbrain, can you please enlist Huntercoin on Yobit.net? It would be easier for everyone to trade at any point of time, apart from playing.  And an online wallet will also be fine for hoarding majority of my funds. +1 Any chinesse exchange would help HUC in the long run. +1 I agree with this. Also, once I have the bootstrap downloaded is there a link to the instructions about what goes where and what the file names are after being unzipped? Once this game becomes more accessible by the average person and the wallet and blockchain become easier to work with I think we're are going to see an explosion in popularity. Good work you guys, it's amazing to put a game like this on the blockchain. |

Is better if people who are in cloak understand why we doing this here ...... Our vision in CLOAK project is not for quick big money if someone still didn't understand this, so i am sorry for him.
You can move forward to talk all this stupid stuff about price, volume etc.... its change nothing for future of CLOAK.

Hey everyone, great work on everything and looking forward to the upcoming additions. Much thanks to the community and especially Halo and Soopy, bravo.
I'm curious about the new Mac update and if there is a way to download the blockchain so it all doesn't have to be downloaded again. This is a common issue that I have with several coins. There doesn't seem to be too great of an answer anywhere on the 'net outside of tech language which is out of the scope of new coin adopters, speculators, tech un-savvy folk. I was going to suggest a FAQ (I am not capable of writing it) about such issues that commonly arise with wallet changes, forks, etc. Written for the layman and for folks who are not tech savvy and don't know about add-nodes etc.
I am glad to donate!!
Also, since I have maintained a windows wallet while Mac has been down do I have to install my most recent .dat file in order to see the most recent staking rewards!?

Hey. Just wanted to say thanks on that advice and I eventually got it but switched to a windows wallet and never really figure out how to install the .conf. I know it's not too difficult but still didn't know how to name the file in Apple Text (just wanted to save .rtf). As for the other, to get to those library files it is under "go," "go to folder," then "~/Library/Application Support/' holla Welcome Soopy!! Wow! Thanks for the help all... |

Can anyone give some guidance on how to synch with the network? I am on a Mac and have been having trouble getting my client to synch and don't really know where to start. Do I have to add the .conf file somewhere? Thanks, any advice would be appreciated.

I see you're talking from a purely speculatory perspective - the perspective of 99% of the crypto noobs who are only chasing the next hype coin having the best buzz words and promises of future features from the devs. Thing is, Darkcoin's code is soon being open sourced, which enables privacy appreciative merchants to accept it as a form of payment. When that happens, Darkcoin will be the first and only privacy coin that allows full adoption. Other coins still have a lot of work to do to reach that point. Darkcoin has the tech, easy usage, easy adoptability for merchants, and, a big and trusted USD exchange for merchants to convert to fiat, and buyers to buy with fiat - Bitfinex. Darkcoin is just so much ahead of the competition that it might very well just scoop up the whole market. Darkcoin is moving from the the speculation phase to the adoption phase. It's far from... "dead". It's dead to me because it is a scam and is spinning off further scams and scam type behavior. Dead. Buzz words: 'Crypto noobs,' 'hype coin,' 'open-sourced,' 'privacy appreciative,' 'first and only,' 'full adoption,' 'tech,' 'easy usage,' 'easy adoptability,' 'big and trusted,' 'fiat,' 'speculation phase,' 'adoption phase.' See what I did there. Sells in the 20's based on 'speculatory perspective.' Sells in the 15's based on balancing, sells in the 10's based on realizing how much of a scam the coin is and the moves they've tried to pull. Whether you like my viewpoint or not doesn't change the fact that your favorite coin is overvalued to the rest of its competitors. Trade still in play; sell/short Drk, buy/long basket of Cloak and other anon coins if you want a balanced portfolio. Cloak being the best value proposition IMHO. |

5000 isn't a dump, either is 10,000. 100 btc got swallowed. Have you been watching the action? Market only trend for certain periods and then they move sideways establishing levels. It's just markets and trading. Where's RC4.. Someone told me today was the day. I was expecting the coin to Flyyyyyyyy.. but no! Down Down Down.. Glad I sold all my drk a long time ago!

Hey Bob, Cloak was pumped and dumped twice this week I might throw 1 BTC to catch the next pump to 270 because it seems going from 200-270 more than 20% increase "sideways lol" is cool...I would spend more than 1 BTC here but I'm worried that a big dump will happen specially with nothing to come yet from the dev but a promise after promise? should I wait risk it in an interest money hungry coin? It kinda feels the US and the federal reserve relation with all the POS coins to me that's why I invested in PoW coin's. Those aren't pump and dumps. There is very little pumping going on and there is no reason to do so. There might be later once all you late adopters get to the party and are shamelessly begging others to join your side. That isn't necessary right now. Just tell us when you get in so we all know when to get out in the medium term. You'll be a good indicator of sentiment. Go on and burn you power and watts on PoW. The trend is upwards. There will ofcourse be little sell offs after each 10 or 20% increase in price but day on day the price will be up - at least for the next few days. Too many people waiting to buy off the book when it drops down around 250,000. Smart buyers who actually want coins (as opposed to bolstering a buy book) dont place a buy order, they wait for a pair of weak hands to think no one is buying anymore and place a low ball sell order - then they pounce and eat it in one bite. You can see that happening right now with orders below 260,000. Look for the signs and you will realise that Cloak is about as safe a bet as you can make in the Crypto world right now.
The revealing of Cloakpal later today will also cause a rally - don't be the one buying after the news hits, have all the cloak you wish to hold before the big buys come in. We've seen some 10+ BTC buys in the last 6 hours - there will be more in the coming 6.
Whoever puked those coins on mintpal next time invite me to the party, I'll buy them. 150? Wow. Did you get scared? That's not holding with conviction. Good luck buying those back. and for all you shills, quit being so annoying. Nobody likes the annoying people and you've already dug yourselves a hole. anyone with technical details already participated in the PoSA beta, and frankly, them seeing the PoSA actually working the way it's supposed to is what has driven up the price in the last few days.
any technical details beyond the whitepaper are trade secrets, and should never be revealed until Cloak is the market leader by a fair margin.
Im being totally honest here, I want to buy some cloak if it truly is technically better than other anon systems but without knowing how it works I guess I have to wait. Thank you for your honesty. It seems like it is a good idea for you to wait before you buy. Will you please PM me when you decide to buy? I'll send you a reward in Cloak coin as your entry into the market. I unloaded all my dark and am no longer buying or holding it. I have a ton of cloak if you are wondering where my interests lie. I will say that the dark community was unmercilessly trolled for a long time, which makes drkman's actions either odd or enlightening depending on how you view this. To summarize, we let Bob troll, no one told him to stop. No reporting needs to be done. Simply ignore.

I did my promise, bought all of my BTC that I have: CLOAK.
I saw the coin history from the beginning. I am tired to mine and trade shitcoins with a one week life.
So I bought all of my money Cloak.
My question is, what is the safest place for my coins? I don't want to let them on Bittrex. (after my mtgox losts).
It is a good thing, that I sent to my wallet (on my PC), backup wallet.dat and copy a wallet.dat to an USB drive?
Please help!
Use multiple USBs and CDs. Store them in different locations (in case of fire or theft) And should I lock my wallet with password? Of course, you should. Just know that it's the most intimate connection you will ever have with your Cloaks. The wallet opens their hearts in a special way that shows you a rare experience. When you encrypt your wallet, you will first see its bare weakness, at your mercy. But when the password is set... you see the infinite cryptostrength of the Cloaks. Set it once and seal it in your soul. Has anyone done a paper wallet generator and/or tutorial on how to set one up? Be gentle on those folks trying to set up wallets properly!!! Everybody get ya Cloak on...! 210 K on Mint Trex is catching up with 199 K  The massive 27 BTC wall is GONE It's not that much though for the flows within market caps (particularly assuming working technology). This isn't a futures market where more coins can be created like a contract in futures can. Coin is still way undervalued. I don't consider this a day trade scenario. Forget about it until 20 Mil cap then play if you want. edit: Last two lines for newer traders/holders. I know the previously cited comments are holders. edit2: There will be a sell-off at some point that looks serious but just look at the volume. It is not a dump if someone sellls 10 btc worth of cloak or 20 or 50 for that matter.
