No, people screwed themselves by not getting their coins into the exchange on time but rather giving in to greed to stake more and leaving the admin to right at the end.

sending my coins was a nightmare. After -salvagewallet and -rescan and repair wallet and restarting wallet I kept getting errors that my balance was off. The the balance would increase and decrease after every attempt. I had to start at 1000 and I kept increasing send amount and repairwallet until finally almost all coins went to btcpool. Only 1100 are showing up in my balance at the moment.

before sending always use repairwallet and make sure it returns true.

first in console use repairwallet
then close wallet after the repairwallet returns "true"
open wallet using the flag -rescan via batch
you can then try again. if not, try using salvagewallet.

Your coins must be on BTCPOOL.EXCHANGE to be included in the swap
so thats a no.
if they are not on the exchange  by the 2nd May then they will not me included in the swap.

Haven't received a single coin from POS. I feel like its still broke. I have had my coins sitting in an unlocked wallet for over 4 days and nada.

wow, adding this above to the config (except the first addnode because it Looks strange) gives me success! finally, i have Connections! and receive coins!
