1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how you will tell if the Campaign is scam ? on: May 03, 2018, 05:55:15 PM
I think this is a brilliant summary of what's relevant when looking at new projects, thanks so much for sharing! I agree with every point you raised. One more thing I would probably add is the importance of a professional team and the transparency with which team members and investors present themselves. Best for me if I can see they have experience in the industry.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: list reasons for using cryptocurrency on: May 03, 2018, 05:45:36 PM
There are many reasons! Diversity of investment is something good. Wink Safety and security can be bolstered by using it (the right way) and it's ofc an interesting growth market - it also got a novelty touch and gives the user more independence! I guess in the future there are going to be even more options how to implement the technology into our daily life - Ticketing services like the Cultural Coin are a good start but i expect there will be many different usage opportunities to come. ^^ We are just scratching on the surface.

You are totally right. It just offers so many new opportunities which, if used wisely as you pointed out, could mean a great deal to future payment systems. Cultural coin is a great example for a blogchain project with a specific use. Projects like this even have a value to society and can bring advantages for users as well as companies. Cool project really!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥[ANN][ICO] Cultural Places - Revolutionizing the Tourism Industry [ANN][ICO] on: May 03, 2018, 05:36:39 PM
Glad to see this project listed on Coinschedule

For those interested, you can learn more about the project here Smiley https://www.coinschedule.com/ico/cultural-places#event2488

Hey, thanks for sharing this. Good to see all the important info at a glance on there. There are so many sites the project is listed on and it's great to see the list increase and hear what other people think about it. As for exchanges, the cultural coin is listed on IDEX, is that right? Any others been announced yet?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New ICOs and how to choose a proper one? on: May 03, 2018, 05:19:33 PM
Do you guys invest in ICOs just to resell and make a profit? Or do you actually use the specific coin for certain transactions, products etc?  Huh
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We Need To Shut Bitcoin And All Other Cryptocurrencies Down. Here's Why. on: April 29, 2018, 08:48:26 PM
Moral panic isn`t good. So for instance if terrorists use phones, cars, air should we ban it? Grin Every invention and every good thing can be turned into evil. As proverb states - there`s no good without evil. It`s up to cryptocommuite to bust myths about it by launching projects and startups that matter!

Couldn't agree more, well put!
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I participate in an ICO? on: April 29, 2018, 08:43:25 PM
I see your question has been well answered already by many before me. Just wanted to state the obvious(to myself at least) and mention for you to REALLY study the project ICO and take everything into consideration before you do try investing. Don't expect any ICO to be profitable(if that's what you are in it for). You want something you genuinely want to support and see thriving in the future thanks to your support, if it's supported massively and pulls through, you will see those financial gains as an added bonus thanks to increase of token/coin value. Hope this is helpful.

I agree, I wouldnt expect to make loads of money but rather feel like I want to support the project. Only put as much in as you feel entirely comfortable with.

I understand, they want to make a platform for travelers who study cultural objects. Why is there blockchain? Why can not do without it?

I browsed through their whitepaper and from what I understood they want to offer crowdfunding solutions for artists and make ticketing for cultural institutions and events more transparent. And thats basically the concept of crypto in general, isnt it? Making transactions more transparent and getting rid of the middleman (institution). Not sure how exactly this would work though, I suppose they need quite a big list of institutions?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats your plans for the year 2018 on: April 27, 2018, 10:03:39 PM
Oh many things. It's been a rocky start for crypto this year and it'll be interesting to see where this journey leads us all. What I am gonna do personally? I'm going to hold on to my ETH and BTC. Also, I kind of have one or two ICOs I invest in every year and this year my chosen project turned out to be the cultural coin - will watch very closely what's happening with it and where it will be taking me.
Apart from that? Eat, sleep, enjoy the sun and walk the camino the santiago. Should be a good one  Smiley

Hi everyone! I found this quite overly dramatic article on forbes and was wondering what you think. https://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonbloomberg/2018/03/10/we-need-to-shut-bitcoin-and-all-other-cryptocurrencies-down-heres-why/#4662eb0c1bca

Anyone seen it? What's your thoughts? Fair point or total bullocks?
i dont know why people post all such bullshit on bitcointalk because i dont understand why people have to post all negative about bitcoin because i guess people dont understand the potential of bitcoin and people have to understand the potential because i am definitely sure bitcoin will replace the paper currency in future.

Well I agree with you. But I am a big fan of open platforms in general to be honest and I don't mind reading these articles even if I think its total bullocks. But then I'm interested to see what the guys on here think about it. Always better to have an argument then just not criticise at all in my opinion.

This problem has been mentioned for a long time, but bitcoin still works well. Everything is recovering and there are many new born altcoins. The future of bitcoin is bright but it will not last forever. We should understand bitcoin is a bubble and do not trust it for a long time.

Why do you think it wont last? Are you referring to bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general when you say that? Huh
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New ICOs and how to choose a proper one? on: April 25, 2018, 09:30:32 PM
A good perspective ICO can be seen immediately, as soon as its ANNTread appears on the forum. Many comments at once, and not simply: "good project", "good luck to the project", and meaningful comments. A promising project has charisma. This is immediately felt.
Yes, I can just confirm that. After a while here in this forum I got a feeling to that. Actually I already joined the cultural places ico and now have some proper cultural coins. This is my first ICO where I am really part of it....its really exciting to join a project and follow it...feels good to me now Smiley After all I think that I joined a serious project. There are a lot of interesting projects out there, but as I am also interested in culture and music (especially music) this one was the one which convinced me.

Good point too! You sound happy with your choice, wish you good luck with your investment!
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I participate in an ICO? on: April 25, 2018, 09:15:57 PM
You would first need to buy some cryptocurrencies to participate in an ICO if only you don't have some.cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ether.  The best way to purchase significant amounts of Bitcoin is through online exchanges. Transfer money from your bank account to your newly created account with a cryptocurrency exchange.Transfer your Coins from the Exchange to a Blockchain Wallet you Control. Then go to

Very good point which has not been mentioned yet I think. From what I saw you need ETH for your project which you need to buy first. After that is done, you can buy cultural coins with ETH. But you will find plenty of info on that on the website. If all fails though and you have questions, you should really opt for the Telegram chat - I think these are normally really good.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I participate in an ICO? on: April 18, 2018, 07:46:09 PM
Transparency is one of those things which are really important to me. I want to get the feeling that the company openly shares their info and that their website is well structured and provides all the most important information. I also try to find the team members on Linkedin and check their profiles. For questions you have the cultural places telegram chat is probably best. And definitely check out these independent review websites and make sure you understand the criteria they are reviewing with. When will your project hit the exchanges?
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We Need To Shut Bitcoin And All Other Cryptocurrencies Down. Here's Why. on: April 13, 2018, 09:32:22 PM
First of all, we should understand that it's not just something about Bitcoin but the fundamentals of money and control of values.  It doesn't make any sense to me to hire/appoint someone to manage my values for me if I am not willing to do so. When it comes to the innovation of Bitcoin/blockchain, it is happening first time in the history of mankind that we are able to trust a group of unknown people more than the familiar faces and we know they can't cheat each other. Freedom is life and everyone should respect it everywhere.

Wise words you all, thanks! I agree, bitcoin (or cryptocurrencies in general) offer something we haven't known for a long time which is not to rely on institutions for representing my financial interests or being able to totally intrude and affect processes in my daily life. I don't think it will be stoppable and quite frankly I think our technological developments will change the world as we know it today fundamentally.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New ICOs and how to choose a proper one? on: April 13, 2018, 09:15:13 PM
there are lots sites on online who search the best ico for u
so u dont have to spend much time in doing research about ico
1. ico bench
2. ico bazar
i used this to site for tarcking ico

Thanks for this info. I already know this sites and actually there are also much more ICO rating sites. This sites are kind of the first step to check out an ICO. First of all to check if it is a scam ICO or not and then the ratings and compare it to competitors. But this sites are in the end an additional informative source and one has to have some proper criteria for an ICO and of course...be selfconvinced of the project.

A healthy combination of passion for the product, research and knowledge about the business plus opinions from independent sources is probably the way to go. Also, I've just seen that the cultural coin is now listed on IDEX, I think that's new. Have you seen? Good to always keep an eye on developments too
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Any useful magazines on the topic out there? on: April 03, 2018, 04:47:13 PM
Anyone here who knows any good magazines or papers on crypto/mining/blockchain and the whole lot? Something with trends/new projects/reviews etc.? Or else a tech magazine discussing them?  Huh Greatful for any suggestions from you guys!

That's true. If you don't feel entirely confident choosing all by yourself you can always research on some of these websites. But then don't rely 100% on them but do your own homework. I thought the cultural coin website and whitepaper look good and they also have a decent rating on the ICO bench. Also saw that they even show the sites they are listed on on their website itself - which is a good sign to me. Have you taken the next step yet?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Interesting new blockchain projects with social benefits? on: April 03, 2018, 04:23:33 PM
In fact, if you good to search the necessary information you can find a lot of different ICO projects on the topic you asked. I became interested and I went through the websites. Here on one, I found many interesting projects concerning health and medicine. Some, of course, have already ended, but also a lot of active. https://www.trackico.io/category/health-medicine/1/

Ah I totally missed this! Thanks so much for sharing the link! So brilliant that you can filter the topics here!  Smiley Smiley
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New ICOs and how to choose a proper one? on: March 30, 2018, 03:52:41 PM
It is getting really difficult to choose the right ICO to invest into now because no matter how well hyped a project is its started dumping immediately after listing on the exchanges. Investing in ICO now is like chosing a soap in a supermarket because the market is too crowded

Totally agree, the choice is massive! It's great to hear opinions in forums but the research needs to be done properly. On the cultural places website they say they'll announce the exchange date 2 months after the ending of ICO - still a while to go until we'll know.

What are your criteria to choose a good ICO? I am looking a little bit around and found have some interesting ICO in mind but I am still not sure if to buy some coins or not. Actually there is for example this ICO running now: www.culturalplaces.com . Its about a new cryptocurrency called Cultural Coin and it should be used as an platform for culture and events. Ticketing should also be paid with the same cryptocurrency. This is for example a project which sounds interesting for me. But obviously there are others also.
Would you choose this one or what are your most important ICO criteria?
Thanks Wink

it seems the ICO you say is a good ICO and will be successful. I saw a coin that had sold almost half of the target. the coin on this project is likely to be sold out before the expected date. ICO criteria I like are like this ICO because it is obviously the development of their token sales.

Thanks for the answer! They already sold more than 6 million of the so called cultural coin in the second phase. What I like is that the project is clear and transparent.

You are right with transparency, the infos they provide are promising. Also great results for now, will definitely keep an eye on it. They have 4 phases, right? And do you know when the wallet will be ready after that?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Interesting new blockchain projects with social benefits? on: March 26, 2018, 10:50:16 PM
New and improved blockchain projects will help the cryptocurrency market to develop in the most modern way. The new blockchain project with benefits to society, I think these projects are interesting, very useful and will soon develop in the future. I will follow up on this project. Wish the project success soon.

Thanks for that, I totally agree! After having found some amazing projects, I've been doing some more research into one of my passions - namely arts and culture. I've had a closer look at Cultural Places and saw they are running an ICO right now. Project looks quite fascinating: easy ticketing, crowdfunding for artists, transparent donations plus cheaper prices for travellers. Do you know anything similar in arts and culture? Meanwhile I'll do some more research in some of your great suggestions! Keep me posted on new ideas, more research to be done!  Smiley
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Interesting new blockchain projects with social benefits? on: March 23, 2018, 11:08:40 PM
Hi everyone! Wondering if you have heard of any new blockchain or cryptocurrency projects with focus on social issues like healthcare, sustainability, community, integration etc.? I read about ecocoin and oncopower and thought it'd be great to hear some more examples of the use of blockchain for these important issues. Would be great to get some projects worth looking into from you guys! Thanks so much!   Grin

You can take a look to https://refugecoin.com/ . To help improve immigrants’ well-being, they have created the RefugeCoin (RFG) token, which aims to improve living standards and to make use the facilitation of all kinds of sustainability transactions.

Here is and the WP: https://refugecoin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/WhitePaper-RFG-EN.pdf

Looks really interesting! Thanks for sharing, I'll definitely check this one out.

I also found the clean water coin which is all about helping to provide clean water. Fascinating things out there!
