Ευτυχώς για τους υπόλοιπους, το ίδιο δεν γίνεται στο slack. Όποιος θέλει μπορεί να μπει να δει τι συζητάμε εκεί μέσα ή να κάνω paste τα logs. Ότι προσωπική άποψη και αν υπάρχει ούτε καταλήγει σε βρισιές, ούτε στο να περιορίσουμε κάποιον (εκτός και να βρίζει ή λέει σωρηδόν, τα ίδια και τα ίδια). Ο φίλος check2fire την έκανε οικειοθελώς γιατί δεν του άρεσε που φτιάξαμε ξεχωριστό κανάλι για το scaling discussion για να μην γεμίσει noise και το slack.

Yes, there's no technical prerequisites to the MOOC, we take it step by step so anyone can access and learn the basics (and beyond).

As long as you have basic computing skills, can handle English material and study it, you shouldn't have an issue pulling through.
You can take the individual session quizzes as many times as you like to improve yourself, during the process, and we're all there to help with any questions that remain.

On the Master's degree itself, you can choose whether to go on a more technically demanding "development pathway" or a more business related one, so there's space for either.
We have students from several disciplines, including computer science, law, economics, political sciences, finance, etc and most manage just fine.

Alex, λάθος σου που συσχετίζεις την "απειλή" για fork με την ισοτιμία.

Α) Η αγορά από το 2014 μέχρι το Μάρτιο του 2015, δεν ήταν ανοδική, υπήρχε απειλή για fork τότε ?

Β) Λάθος σου που συσχετίζεις την πτώση του Bitcoin με το Hearn επειδή συνέπεσε, αυτό είναι εντελώς αυθαίρετο (το λιγότερο). Ζήτησες μεγαλύτερη πτώση (πότε έγινε ?!?!): 4-11-15 με 25-11-15 ($489-$299), μην πάμε πιο μακρυά...Όλοι ξέραμε ήδη ότι ο Hearn είχε πάει στην r3cev.

Γ) Να δεχτώ ότι είχαμε πιέσεις επειδή κάποιοι κάναν "sell the news" ? Άντε οκ. Έχεις δει η αγορά να αντιδρά τόσο απότομα για άλλες πολύ πιο σοβαρές ειδήσεις τελευταία (πχ Blockstream/PWC που είναι ειδησάρα) ή κάθε φορά που κάποιος είπε ότι το Bitcoin πέθανε ? Γιατί να πουλήσει κάποιος τότε στην τελική ? Για να αγοράσει πάλι 6 μέρες μετά που η τιμή ανέβηκε πάλι ? Σαν σπλαχνομαντεία μου ακούγεται.

Η απώλεια εμπιστοσύνης στο μακροπρόθεσμο δυναμικό του Bitcoin (fundamentals) δημιουργεί συνεχιζόμενες καθοδικές τάσεις στην ισοτιμία, όχι ο φόβος του fork.

Ωραία που κάνουμε quote τον Satoshi, αναφέρεις ότι ο Satoshi πίστευε ότι το Bitcoin to 2010 δεν ήταν έτοιμο για microtransactions
(To BTC 4/8/2010 ήταν $0.07 άρα το 0.01 που αναφέρει ο Satoshi ήταν (OMG) $0.0007 και τότε του φάνηκε ότι δεν έκανε για microtransactions...

Forgot to add the good part about micropayments.  While I don't think Bitcoin is practical for smaller micropayments right now, it will eventually be as storage and bandwidth costs continue to fall.  If Bitcoin catches on on a big scale, it may already be the case by that time.  Another way they can become more practical is if I implement client-only mode and the number of network nodes consolidates into a smaller number of professional server farms.  Whatever size micropayments you need will eventually be practical.  I think in 5 or 10 years, the bandwidth and storage will seem trivial.

That brings up the question: if there was a minimum 0.01 fee for each transaction, should we automatically add the fee if it's just the minimum 0.01?  It would be awfully annoying to ask each time.  If you have 50.00 and send 10.00, the recipient would get 10.00 and you'd have 39.99 left.  I think it should just add it automatically.  It's trivial compared to the fees many other types of services add automatically.

Yes, it is the first and only University Degree on the topic.

It does demand a good foundation bachelor's degree, but it goes in great depth on everything we examine on the MOOC. Every weekly session of the MOOC becomes a fully fledged 6 weeks course that covers Finance, Banking, Regulation, Innovation and more. The MOOC touches working with bitcoind and qt, but it is mostly geared towards a more spherical understanding of the core infrastructure and ecosystem, so it can be approached regardless of discipline.

Ευχαριστώ για το feedback, θα τα μεταβιβάσω. Τα δημογραφικά στοιχεία είναι απλά αυτό, δημογραφικά που χρειάζονται για να ξέρουμε από ποια μέρη του κόσμου έχουμε μαθητές. Το όνομα είναι αποκλειστικά για το πιστοποιητικό που παρέχει το πανεπιστήμιο με την επιτυχή ολοκλήρωση του προγράμματος. Το τηλέφωνο χρησιμοποιείται αποκλειστικά για ενημέρωση σχετικά με το MSc μετά το τέλος του προγράμματος, και δεν μοιράζεται με τρίτους.

Σε κάθε περίπτωση, η ιδιωτικότητα του καθενός είναι απόλυτα σεβαστή (we are bitcoiners too) όμως είμαστε υπόχρεοι να διατηρούμε βασικά στοιχεία των μαθητών μας, ειδικά εφόσον αυτό το MOOC είναι τμήμα του MSc in Digital Currency (πρώτου πανεπιστημιακού τίτλου στο αντικείμενο) και όχι κάτι ασύνδετο με τα υπόλοιπα προγράμματα του πανεπιστημίου (όπως πχ στο Coursera ή στο edx).
