Hey everyone,

The new free MOOC on Bitcoin by the University of Nicosia is starting on February the 15th.

After the phenomenal participation we've had on our previous courses, we're continuing with constantly updated content and weekly live Q&A sessions with Andreas Antonopoulos and Antonis Polemitis.

The course is devoted to covering all the main aspects surrounding Bitcoin, but also goes beyond; in monetary, financial, regulation and innovation aspects.

Join us here :

University of Nicosia, Msc in Digital Currency

UNic is also the first university globally to issue a Master's of Science Degree in Digital Currency, the first cohort will be graduating this spring.

Sign up on the link above, or check out the MOOC and the MSc contents.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Thanks for sharing this. I've heard of Princeton's MOOC but not this one.

Master of Science? Is there a preview of how difficult this is going to be?

Ok. Reading through the FAQ, it seems like no technical proficiency or prior knowledge is required?

Anyone interested in learning more about digital currency from anywhere in the world can enroll in the MOOC. There are no admissions requirements for the MOOC, though proficiency in the English language is needed for a student to be successful in completing the course

Yes, there's no technical prerequisites to the MOOC, we take it step by step so anyone can access and learn the basics (and beyond).

As long as you have basic computing skills, can handle English material and study it, you shouldn't have an issue pulling through.
You can take the individual session quizzes as many times as you like to improve yourself, during the process, and we're all there to help with any questions that remain.

On the Master's degree itself, you can choose whether to go on a more technically demanding "development pathway" or a more business related one, so there's space for either.
We have students from several disciplines, including computer science, law, economics, political sciences, finance, etc and most manage just fine.
