Ok - stupid question of the day.....

How is the Active Miner tab sorted?  I cannot see the pattern.  I am number 17 but not sure by what criteria.  Thanks!
The headings at the top are what is listed:
 H/s 1h - H/s 1d - H/s 1w are your hour, day and week hashrate averages.
But...
My old and failing memory says that in order to keep things somewhat `current', the H/s over the latest 5 minute period (updated every 2 minutes?) is what the list is sorted by...
It's not a stupid question because if it's not actually listed then its not actually obvious...
Your 5 minute rate, which can vary quite widely, is shown on your User page, if your curious about that value...

How about a signature campaign or some advertising of the pool?

Big respect to you CK for keeping it rolling for the community but it's a two way thing we should be getting out there spreading the word I for one won't mine on other pools never have I think a lot of us would be more than happy to try get some more people to the pool and signatures may help some what obviously on a voluntary system to show the support for your efforts CK.

Thoughts?
I'm still here.
I'm quiet, but I'm still here.
I'm a senior citizen. So, in my life, I've learned that things take time. I started mining as something to keep my mind busy while I recovered from a heart attack. It took several months for me to find -ck and this pool. Tonight, I'm looking back at some early spreadsheets... end of May 2018 - 5 2Pacs and 1 shiny new R808! Sitting 579 places away from my first payment. In those days, I was filling out spreadsheets 6 or 8 times a day. But after all this time, I now only do that once or twice a day. Why? The GS equipment I have from sidehack is boring. It just works! And -ck's pool and solo are boring. They just work. For me, that's what I was looking for. Things that worked and worked well enough to be boring. These days, I'm often in the top 50 - just waiting for the next block. I'm not bored... I'm patient. I've found what works best, and I'm staying with it. Thank you -ck for this pool. I tell all my co-workers, friends and relatives. In addition to using it, that's what I do for this pool.

Free is obviously not cheap enough.

Started here, staying here (including Solo)

Ditto, Evade

One year ago today:
I had 5 active miners (of the pools 10181 miners) Mine were averaging 99 GH/s per week.
There was a block confirm on the June 13th at 9:48:54 PM CDT and another on the 14th at 9:07:46 PM CDT...
oh... and another at 3:20:31 AM CDT on the 15th...(good times)

Today:
I have 55 active miners running on this pool... averaging over 6TH/s - soon to be over 7TH/s
All other comparisons are too depressing to mention... But this pool is still free (thank you -ck), we have much better USB miners to use (thank you sidehack) and good people to enjoy the ride with (thanks to you all).

It's Friday, it's warm, it's sunny... and I'm glad to still be here... instead of just being here STILL!

Good weekend and good mining, y'all... G

I took the `pause' out of the cgminer statement(s) so they'd loop if necessary, and I have restarted the two instances that have been dropping out. Everything looks normal so far, I'll report back on this, say Monday or Tuesday.

So... naturally both cgminer instances have been chugging away - and both show the start date as last Friday - no looping required... Maybe we scared them!

At any rate, I'll keep an eye on these two rascals.
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: May 31, 2019, 01:40:23 PM
hmm.   that is definitely a new / unreported one.   looks like part of libusb complaining.

use this to forcefully bypass the manual intervention part:

Code:
:loop_forever
cgminer.exe -o ...
goto loop_forever

I took the `pause' out of the cgminer statement(s) so they'd loop if necessary, and I have restarted the two instances that have been dropping out. Everything looks normal so far, I'll report back on this, say Monday or Tuesday.

small side effects:
   - you lose visibility to other errors.

I haven't really had other errors, they just stop - usually when I'm away from home for 14 hours - because Murphy says so!

  - you won't be able to press q to quit.

There's always Alt+F->X or the big 'X'.

Thanks again, vh. You rock.
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: May 31, 2019, 03:32:42 AM
I have a small situation... I'm running two Win10 machines (YES, that's most likely the problem...). One has cgminer  from last December. It has 10 instances of that cgminer running - only NewPacs thru GS Hubs on that computer and no issues. The other Win10 is running the cgminer from May 13 this year. One R606 and several NewPacs all thru GS Hubs. In general, it too is working as it should but 2 of the cgminers tend to stop working after one or two days with the following error message:

Code:
Assertion failed!

Program: C:\~CC-Ore\cgminer.exe
File: os/poll_windows.c, Line 145

Expression: fd != NULL

C:\~CC-Ore>pause
Press any key to continue . . .

Anyone else get this? Any suggestions?

Edit: The R606 instance is running steady. The two cgminers that drop out are NewPacs set @ 425MHz.

I'll likely do a complete rebuild using the May 26 version cgminer for both computers come the weekend... I don't think I've seen this problem posted here so I will post it now... Oh, and restarting the stalled instance(s) of cgminer does work, without any changes to the batch file(s)... So it's only annoying and inconvenient... the problem's on 2 of 25 instances - so mostly things are working well.
11  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: May 26, 2019, 01:07:00 AM
Hi GekkoScience,

Why is my R606 always running at around 200MHZ???
Shouldn't it be at 550Mhz like the T and the command?

Also, Is there a special command to turn on ASIC boost?

Also assuming you're using a Win10... try this:

Maybe use two instances of cgminer... First, with all 5 of your miners connected, but not running, use the Command Prompt from the folder you are running cgminer from and type `cgminer -n' (No quotes, of course...) Look for:

Code:
USB dev 31: Bus 1 Device 29 ID: 0403:6015
Manufacturer: `GekkoScience'
Product: `R606 Bitcoin Miner'

Your dev, Bus, and/or Device numbers will likely be different than mine above - the Bus and Device numbers are what you need. Create a separate batch file for your R606. Using my example, add the variable `--usb 1:29' (again - no quotes) to your batch file, remove references to NewPacs and then save it.

I run my 606 batch first, then add (in your case), the four Newpacs in a separate batch - no references to R606.

After all five are running, you should be able to (if needed), close down the R606 cgminer and restart it again with different settings and the four NewPacs still running... I still check the Bus and Device numbers, which shouldn't change - before I re-run the R606 batch, but hey, we're talking about WinDoze...so - best to check.

My R606 runs in a separate cgminer instance. It runs through a GS Hub with NewPacs in it. They all run together to one of the two USB2 Ports I have... I have lots of Newpacs running thru GS Hubs that land on USB3 Ports at the Win10... No problems, here.

I believe Asic Boost is now the default, but there is a special command to turn it off.

Also - you're working the miners way too hard... Suggested difficulty for you should be:

550 * 6 * 0.228 * 5 = 3762 for the R606 (at 550)
200 * 4 * 0.228 * 5 =  912  for the four NewPacs (at 200)

Those are terrible numbers, even for NewPacs at 200MHz - you should be hitting about 45.6 GH/s for each... Just that alone suggests an underpowered hub...What is your setup? Without knowing that, we're playing guessing games... Let us know what your equipment is and we can help you to get better performance. Most of us on this forum are quite willing to help... it's just easier if we know what setup you're using.
12  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: April 28, 2019, 05:55:28 PM
been a while would be nice to see a block.
We're well over 144 again... that's gross!
(So is the pun!)
Out doing forestry the past two days hasn't helped the mining... maybe when those GS r606's arrive to push up my hash rates, that will help... in any event, we all mine on... G

how do you know if it's damaged? there's green light but it doesn't work anymore?
and how do you fix it?
You need to provide a bit more information. What usb hub is it running on and have you tested the hub seperately? What voltage is the core? What freq was it running at? Has windows done any updates and changed the driver back again so may need to do zadig again? Any pictures of the back of the pcb to see any physical damage?
if have a couple but 1 doesn't work anymore! all same settings!
no psysical damage, that's i ask how can you see if it is damaged or not.
the windows does recognize the miner. but the cg miner says no device detected. so i don't get it.
with these crypto miner, some strange thing happens.
maybe the miner has mined it's max? i'm mining the same coin for long while? i don't know.

The settings are the same to you, but they are still a secret to us... Please answer GT's questions as best you can... we need information to help you... The information will eliminate possible causes for your problem... At the moment I'm imagining one 2Pac that works and one that doesn't... and I don't have any solid information to go on... also, tell us about your active cooling - these miners don't like too much heat...The more information from you, the more help or suggestions from us. Help us to help you, please...
or not...
So my guess is that the flux capacitor may be deflumed... try flurbing the nampores or adjust the aroma of the color 12... That almost always works in a case like this...

16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Now that usb sticks are being sold by sidehack here is a new usb hub thread. on: March 22, 2019, 03:58:10 AM
Ran 6x 2pacs off PSU 6 pin (evga 430, 80+) for about 2 hours and now it won't detect anything.

I was running them at 175 which should be 9.72a max.

The lights are all solid green on the 2pacs, but they aren't being seen by windows. There's a little red light under 7 and 4.

I can feel the 2pacs in 3,4, and 5 are all very warm to the touch. 7 is mildly warm. 2 and 6 are pretty much cold. Didn't mess with 1.

Tried another PSU and USB wire, no luck.

And for cooling you used - what Huh
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac/Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: March 09, 2019, 04:12:35 AM
Hello

A few weeks ago, I bought a Raspberry pi 3 B + and a Gekkoscience 2Pac. it worked well for a short time. Then nothing. I have already updated and followed the manufacturer's instructions for installing Raspbian. Since the crash of Gekkoscience 2Pac, the cgminer always shows me that he can not find any chips.

I use this following command to start tuning with the Gekkoscience 2Pac

Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://depool.ckpool.org:3333 -u 3LdYRu3ZRRW4PbCZ9FGhbddzfGxRScCnkB -p x --suggest-diff 32 --gekko-2pac-freq 25

cgminer is connecting to your pool. That's good.
Your USB hub is one of the better ones... That's good.
If everything was working well for you, it should be no difficulty for you to push to 200MHz or more (with sufficient cooling). Not finding any chips `might' be a dead miner, BUT... Before you consider returning the 2Pac (to the vendor you purchased from) I would try this... You are running it at 25MHz. That is extremely low for your equipment... maybe change it to 100MHz to see if you can `wake it up'. I've seen many times where these 2Pacs don't operate well if they are under-powered... 25MHz may not be asking for enough power to fuel your miner - so give 100MHz a try... if you have a USB or 12V fan to keep things cool, you won't hurt the 2Pac - even at 200MHz.
Also, look back to the first few pages of this topic. It may be that the potentiometer needs to be adjusted back to its stock position.
Also, try starting cgminer without your 2Pac plugged in. Sometimes hot-plugging a miner once cgminer is already running will be enough to get the miner started...
You have many things yet to try before declaring your 2Pac dead...
Good luck... And I hope one of these suggestions will help you.
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac/Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: March 01, 2019, 07:31:31 PM
I have had my 2pacs running at 225MHz nonstop for a long time no problems. Thanks to all the help in this forum it's now just a stable little farm.
After all this time, one of them stopped blinking. I figured it had bit the bucket but when finding it in the cgminer conosle it's still chugging along with no HW errors. Has anyone ever had the blinking stop on a 2pac? Should i worry?
I am a bit color blind but it looks to be a steady blue even though it's hashing.

Although I mostly run NewPacs now, I still have half a dozen 2Pacs, half of which have been in the same condition as yours for 6 or 8 months... `Not flashing, just hashing...' I know the blinking lights are nice, but mine are still hashing away, so I don't ever worry about them. If they stop hashing - then I'll worry.

Sweet first block found since I got my 2pacs.  I'm still kinda confused about how the payouts work. Is there a minimum deep before you get a payout? My current deep is 0.003

The top 50 get paid.
The rest get carried over, but not lost.

The general sales for the sidehack usbs are closed. Could anyone point me to where I would find a place to buy some? Thanks

Although not listed on the site, you can place a request for them from Mine.Farm.Buy: https://minefarmbuy.com/contact

I just completed an order for two more Hubs. They'll get you the shiny new 8-port ones from sidehack at GekkoScience if that's what you request.
