Good concept I guess? The challenge is to make them easy and quick to transact. The problem with this is that before you actually accept the "banknotes" you need to scan them one by one to confirm that it actually does contain some btc.
Correct me if there's something I missed.
Yes that's very true! It will be interesting to see how they deal with that. It's funny that now the technology is being used to go backwards, from digital to paper (even though it's digital paper). Great concept though!

If I saw your post at the time it was posted, I would have said that the markets would go back up.. It's actually a few weeks later and it looks like it did! Can't wait to see what it looks like next year ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Ethereum is mostly used for trading, holding, and for ICO participation.

Because the ship is sinking! Everybody out! ... Hehe i'm joking. Markets fluctuate on a daily (more like secondly) basis, sometimes they will be green, sometimes they will be red. It's a good idea to zoom out and look at the markets performance from a wider time frame.
Although.. it's possible it could be something to do with the MEW incident, but more likely just the market being the market.

I woudn't reccomend anybody to enter their account details on another platform. not recommended, i dont know but i prefer pay the transaction fees than to risk my money,.
Agreed.

Very interesting! I think at this point that Bitcoin is no longer meant for such transactions. Maybe litecoin would be better suited for this. I believe Bitcoin is more useful as a store of value like gold. You wouldn't neccesarily pay for something in a shop with gold, but you could use it to store value, or transfer the value into something else.
Love the story though, thanks for sharing!

Bitcoin will always rule all the altcoins because altcoins' exchange rate will always be related to bitcoin exchange rate.
Since most of the altcoins don't have really strong support on exchanges – by that I mean they cannot be traded directly to other altcoins – it is difficult to say that one altcoins will be powerful enough to displace the King of Crypto – Bitcoin.
I hope though, that bitcoin dominance will still decrease since more money will be distributed among new blockchain projects with their own cryptocurrencies listed on exchanges.

I live in Spain and here you can buy yourself a house for bitkoins, and also eat in a restaurant.
I think soon there will be shops where you can pay with crypto-currencies, and that's fine, I'm waiting for this!
Nice! There are a lot of countries where you can purchase a house with Bitcoin, and so many products and services out there available to buy with Bitcoin, everything from pizza to a flight! I think that in the future there will be very few things that one couldn't purchase with crypto.

It seems like MEW is safe now. I think people using hardware wallets were not affected by this either, only MEW generated private keys during a certain period of time. Always worth taking precautions though!

I also think like that, Ethereum is one of the most promising of the cryptocurrency. You can see currently many ICO's using Ethereum Platform. I think Ethereum have a bright futere.
It's true that a lot of companies are using ethereum for ICO, although this could change in the future. Ethereum has the first mover advantage, which has historically been a strong advantage.

Their roadmap for the next 3 years looks very promising. They are planning to compete with Visa for payment solutions, a goal that they seem likely to achieve. Definitely a very promising project.

There was another recent post that warned about this. From what it looks like, this issue has been addressed and MEW is back to normal.. Always worth taking extra precautions though! (also it seems like this was an issue affecting only MEW generated private keys that were generated during a certain period of time).

Wow. I'm glad that has been addressed! Thank you for forwarding this to the community! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

There are a lot of companies offering prepaid crypto debit cards where you can deposit your crypto on to the card and use it anywhere that accepts visa. There are a lot of promising projects that are planning to release seamless crypto / fiat intergration where you will be able to spend directly from your own crypto wallet. I'm sure a lot more of these services will be available in the future.
