I was mining beam for fun with my one card, but the wallet, sparkool and everything arround is, just terrible.
I have transfered the matured mined coins from the sparkpool, but even after 24 hours the coins didn't arrived. It showed in the wallet, that they are being transfered. I had active miner and opened wallet for about 24 hours, but the coins didn't arrived. After about 24 hours during the night my computer was restarted after f** automatic windows update. Great... But after the restart I found, that the transfer had a failed status in the wallet. I found in the thread, that there has been some security iussues and new wallet has to be downloaded, so I have made a copy of the old wallet and followed the steps on the site in order to instal the fixed version. Afterwards I have tried to restore my old wallet, entered the 12 words, password etc. Aaaand. Nothing Smiley Wallet wasn't restored and the coins are missing. I just wanted to share my experience with you guys.

Edit> I managed to somehow get the wallet back, but the transaction stil shows as failed and I have 0 Beams in my wallet

Ravencoin Miner: an optimized open source miner created specifically for Ravencoin.

v2.6
Improvements to poolside hash rate stability
Improvements to all hash functions
Improved power efficiency

https://github.com/Ravencoin-Miner/Ravencoin/releases

How fast is that? There are few more miners that are performing nicely.. so is this worth downloading and playing around?

nope, not worth it. Use newest z-enemy or t-rex. This user constantly spams the same post over and over again. Version 2.6 is from april, i guess they are not developing the miner, just spaming the same post over. Just look up the user name of the user and you see, he is posting the same message since april

This proved to me, that this coin has future. Couple months ago, we have tried to succeed in the community coin of the month on binance. We lost to pundhi, now binance is listing raven by itself. Nice Smiley

Congratulations to the holders, today is another new exchange for Raven, a target of 0.5 $ later this year Shocked

Also the RVN went from 230 satoshi to 300 satoshi in less then an hour. I am looking forward for the new exchange Smiley

Has anyone tested RTX20xx on RVN?

24.8 MH/s on RTX2080 showed in the video below, I haven't seen anyone posting results from 2080Ti yet

So currently according to what to mine 1.98 Th/s pointed towards Raven from nicehash

This coin is climbing the ranks in CMC fast, yesterday it was 205 now it’s 158

It's due to supply. 2 days ago total supply on CMC was 1,231 bilion coins, now the supply reflects actual ammount 1.625 Billions. Somebody from this thread mentioned that he raised a ticket on CMC, so that they can correct the total supply. This is because the coin jumped in ranking by 50 places. It just reflects reality at this point.

who from the devs thought, when they introduced the coin, that a diff change after 2000 blocks was a good idea Sad

It took 3 and 1/2 days to mine the 2016 blocks. And the next difficulty dip will be cleared within 8 hours. So happy 8 hours mining for every one NH especially Sad
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: July 30, 2018, 07:23:31 AM
New users Nd power users really want this coin badly then

Also we "old" miners won't mine this coin anymore.

Nicehash destroys it completely...

Please Devs. Do something, that nicehash isn't working on RVN! Sad

There's no reason to make it unavailable to nicehash (don't know if it can be made unavailable), just make the difficulty adjust 4 times faster and all will be well. Going from 2016 block (2016 minutes aprox so every 33 hours idealy) to 504 (every 8 hours and the impact from nicehash will go away or at least be greatly reduced.

It's the difficulty of finding blocks, which makes it harder. Yesterday the 2000 blocks were hit in about 13 hours, because with the lowered difficulty and increased hashrate ~3 blocks were found every minute. Last difficulty change when it was 23k, the average time per block was less than 0.5 blocks every minute, so those 2000 blocks took way longer then the 33 hours. Now the difficulty is 33k, meaning that we miners will spend 3 days finding all 2000 blocks within this difficulty round. Afterwards the diff drops again to sub 13k levels and nicehash will come and f*ck things up again in few hours. This is cancer and as you say the intervals between diff change needs to be adjusted (much shorter intervals), otherwise I am not wasting electricity on Raven anymore and I really like the coin which I am mining since march.

Is there a way how to solomine reden on zenemy? Current hashrate is so low, it might be worth a shot.

Question regarding Virtopia, I've been mining there with a 6 x 1060 rig, getting an average of 80 raven p/day with hash rates on the site on average 20 Mhps.

Has anyone got stats then can enlighten me with, or is Virtopia not paying correctly? Superminer is outputting on average 40 Mhps.

Its to low..  i think 150-180 with 6x1060.
So you are earning 1 $ a day with 6 gpu.. lol thats crazy. Electricity is more than 1$ a day ,so you are losing money every day?

It is normal for virtopia and other small pools. One day you hit 80 ravens the other day 200. This is a problem of smaller pools. When they don't hit a block, you'll not get paid. When a block is hit, you get paid after a block confirmation. When virtopia hits a difficult block, there is a longer period until you get paid, when it hits less difficult block, payments are more often.

I will try to calculate it for you, but those numbers are only rough estimates. Let's say the actual total hashrate on network is 1,200Th/s. Difficulty is adjusted so, that a block should be hit every minute. Meaning that all the pools get their share of blocks from the network according to their hashpower.  Let's say virtopia has hashrate 6.5 GH/s (last time i checked yesterday). 1200 / 6.5 ~ 185 So a block should be hit every 185 minutes on virtopia. When you get a block with difficulty 200% you have to multiply this number by 2 * 185 = 370 minutes and so on. If you hit a block with difficulty of 500% you won't get paid for almost 16 hours. However if you hit easy blocks with difficulty less then 100% you will get paid more then what you should be paid on average. Your hashrate is 20 MH/s, from the pools hashrate 6.5MH/s it is 1/325.  Virtopias pool fee is 1% So when a block is hit, 4950 ravens are distributed to the miners. With your hashrate of 20MH/s you should get 4950/325 = 15.23 Ravens per block, so only about 5 blocks have been hit during the last 24 hours that takes it to the 80 mentioned ravens per day. Those calculations might be a bit off, but you should be able to calculate the average from actual hashrate on network, pool and your rig.

Thanks for the in depth reply mate, yeah this is why I let it run for a few weeks. They have the loyalty reward system, which I was allowing to kick in also. But this seems to be ridiculous never was the pool paying out more then 100 raven a day, I've now switched to Minepool to give them a run and already they are paying out 200 raven a day, nothing changed except the pool.

Minepools average hash rate is matching my miners hash rate and my miner has consistent shares with only .05% rejected. It would seem to me that Virtopia either is being dodgy or the miner and Virtopia are not communicating correctly.

Virtopia stats reporting is a bit different, for most it works out well but for w/e reason a few people see consistently low reported hash. Keep that in mind that is graphical and if in doubt take the miners reported hashrate.

The pool has went from 4GH up to 30GH recently so it is more stable on blocks and paying out very well. it is also now a top 10 pool

https://exp.virtopia.ca/pools

Whoa, there is one address mining @28.45719 GH/s So this is where the hash is comming from. Must be some kind of a large farm or something. That is a hashpower of ~1400 x 1080TI's
