1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HODL is the way on: December 02, 2021, 03:37:42 AM
HODL, HODL and HODL, as hard as this looks this is simply the way, all you need is lots of patience after DYOR on the coins or tokens, if you want to judge HODL just sit back and look at the past coins you sold, see? There will always the kings among them isn't it? Here is my painful experience and lessons

1. In 2016 I had 1million doge coin ( sold in 2019)
2. In 2017 I owned 12 ETH ( sold in 2019)
3. I bought YOUC aka YouEngine over 1million pieces which was 0.0003$ and today it's 0.65$

There are other coins I sold too early for example PYR at 2$ and it's now 9$, though I need the money at the time and my mistakes is I sold all instead of leaving some parts behind

Based on my personal experience, because I don't know the price of the coin will go up or down and my limitations can't analyze due to my lack of knowledge about cryptocurrencies. I always look at analyses from youtube and buy coins that will go up in the future. although in reality, expectations do not match reality. The point is patience within ourselves, don't get carried away easily by lust. Because I believe hold is the best way.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who sets the price for crypto currency? on: December 01, 2021, 08:56:27 AM
hi,
still one thing I don't understand: if for fiat it's the central bank governor for a country that decides the local daily currency price against the other fiat currencies, who decides the price for crypto? Bitcoin Core software? Exchange platform software's AI?

thanks

Based on the information I got, the price of Crypto Assets depends on the balance of supply and demand. This is the law of the market. When a Crypto Asset is popular and in high demand then its price will go up. Vice versa, if supply is high while demand is low, prices will fall and the amount or quantity of the crypto asset itself. The volume of crypto assets such as Bitcoin and Etherium is still very small and the distribution is uneven so that the price value will be greatly influenced by the actions of the holders of these crypto-assets in making sales or purchases.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't give information instead share information. on: November 30, 2021, 11:57:15 PM
There are two kinds information rolling around in this form:

1) Some members are giving information- This kind of information maybe not required in OP, due to lack of knowledge they want to give it bcoz they think this is right and we know better.

2) Some members share information- Sharing information is where we share what we know, here anyone can help anyone even newbies can teach a legendary this is the only right way.

what you think about it?

In my point of view that between sharing information and giving information is the same goal, which is to tell someone from not knowing to know. But sharing is more about personal experience. so someone who shares information usually has experienced what happened to them themselves. So I think sharing information is personal and giving information is general.

Now many cryptocurrencies investment sites with promotions will get a lot of results. But it only lasted some time. In the beginning, the site was still paying, but it couldn't withdraw for some time, it didn't enter and the site had an error and couldn't be visited. My advice is not to be too easy to trust to invest in new sites that do not know the track record.

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it safe to buy now? on: November 09, 2021, 11:44:18 PM
The logic for investment is buying low and selling high and currently Bitcoin has a new ATHs is it safe to encourage new investor to buy now seeing how high the price has gone? My fear for new investors is that the don't experience a dip after buying since no one is sure of how far the new highs will reach.

Depends on the buyer. But I think it's better to wait for the BTC price to drop again. Because logically we trade for profit. When the price of BTC goes down we buy and when the price goes up we sell again. The most important thing in trading we have to be patient and use logic. Don't trade because of emotions.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to trade properly for newbies on: November 07, 2021, 01:06:05 AM
1. Position is the most important thing
2. Always set the profit/loss ratio above 1:1 (2:1, 3:1)
3. Always set stop loss below 10% of the account
4. Do not borrow, deposit too large (under 25X is safe)
5. Do not leave orders overnight
6. Adjust emotions when entering orders. If you lose, remove the other bets

For a beginner, I suggest studying all the information about trading both on the forum and on the youtube channel. Now there are lots of articles and youtube channels that discuss the right way of trading. So that we do not experience huge losses when trading.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet or Exchange? on: November 06, 2021, 11:43:56 PM
Hello,
For buy and sell coins and token, a wallet is better or an exchange? Which one is cost effective?

Thank you.

I prefer exchange. because it is easier and more practical. We can directly buy or sell our coins instantly. I only use the wallet to receive coins or tokens that haven't been exchanged yet
10  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [LOG] List Rank Up Member Indonesia (Member - Legendary) on: September 03, 2021, 09:27:23 AM
Mungkin buat temen2 SFI yang lain khususnya buat yang baru saja rank up atau sebentar lagi rank up (cuma kurang merit) tapi belum ada di list bisa request di sini buat dimasukin di list. (Kalo masih sesuai judul ya minimal rank member).
Noted

Maaf saya masih newbie, hehehehe
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I get merit as a newbie? on: September 02, 2021, 09:56:23 AM
Hello legendary, and hero members..am new into the forum..
What is merit and how can I get it?
What's the main porpuse of the forum and how can it be achieved?
🙂

Since we are both newbies, here are my tips:

1. Expand the information about Bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies.

2. Read the rules on the forum, what can be posted and what is not.

3. Participate in discussions in the forum by making good and polite opinions.

If you are lucky the seniors will give you merit.

13  Other / Archival / Re: [Merit] Help newbies and those who have a little left to the next rank on: August 31, 2021, 12:31:04 AM
I decided to open a topic with the distribution of merit for newbie and for those users who have a little merit left until the next rank. The topic will now be here on an ongoing basis, without expiration dates, I will try to bring it up every day so that it is noticeable to as many users as possible.

I closed the old topic, because there were originally different rules and this caused confusion.

Merit distribution rules:

If you have the following amount of merit on the meter, then you can safely apply:

  • 0
  • 5 - 9
  • 85 - 99
  • 230 - 249
  • 475 - 499
  • 970 - 999

Attention:

All applications that do not have one of the specified values will be deleted so as not to clog this topic, as well as the rest of the offtopic, only posts in essence.

- Do not try to apply using your alts.
- If you have nothing but bounty reports and proof autentification messages, do not apply.
- If you have 0 posts, do not apply.
- Applicants with a negative trust for cheating and farms abusing the bounty are not considered.
- All inappropriate application will be removed. Repeated application will be removed as well.
- For spam will be marked in the trust.

Submitting an application does not guarantee 100% receipt of the merit.

To participate in the distribution, submit an application in the following format:

Code:
Rank:
Amount of merit:
Profile Link:

And nothing else, I'll look at your posts myself and if I see something useful, I will definitely appreciate it.   Smiley

Good luck  Wink

Halo,

I hope I will get the reward

14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can bitcoin exist without fiat on: August 30, 2021, 11:15:58 PM
Since i joined bitcointalk forum i find it difficult to make a post relating to bitcoin, bitcoin is like physical money (fiat), and i want to know the difference between fiat and bitcoin, and without fiat existence can bitcoin have a name?, after thinking all this  with seriousness i concluded that bitcoin and fiat works like brothers and sisters and no one can leave each other, so i want to know if any other digital currency can function without fiat?.

To this day bitcoin can not completely replace fiat. Many influencing factors such as technology and government regulations. There would inevitably be difficulties with the transition. But in the future with advances in technology, it is possible to happen. But I think it's better to have both. Fiat for short-term investment as exchange rate and buying and selling. While Bitcoin is for long-term investment.
15  Economy / Reputation / Re: Upgrade to Senior member rank - Congratulatory message on: August 30, 2021, 01:54:43 PM
I feel like I won the Grammys so I have to give my thank you speech  Cheesy I want to acknowledge all of the members who are here because you represent the thousands millions of bitcoiners who keep the bitcointalk forum alive. A special thank you to Ratimov for his selfless sevice, giving a helping hand to newbies and those in need of certain merits to rank up. CryptopreneurBrainboss, ddmrddmr, yahoo62278, fillippone I can't mention everyone but thank you. This thread is a note to self and a motivation to fast rising members. I summarized my message in this short note;
In the cold winter of 2020
Gave birth to a Bitcoin baby
Raised by this household
Bitcoin baby learnt to hodl
Alas baby is growing fast
But still needs a helping hand
All the way till he becomes a man

Congratulations on your achievement @Pokapoka124. I'm glad to hear that. I know achieving it is not easy. It needs a lot of time and hard work. I appreciate your effort. Hopefully, I will also rank up like you soon.
