Good day, miniZ!

I am running v2 miniZ for some time now, runs like a top without any issues on Win10 running variety of green cards on 2 different rigs mining BeamhashIII. I recently got a 2080TI and needed to D/L miniZ v2 for a new rig and no can do because it's gone? So, I D/L v1.6w and got up and running but cannot run this card below 81% power? It crashes and Windoze takes over to announce that "stop code :Video TDR failure What failed: nvlddmkm.sys" shuts me down and restarts my computer. After much experimentation with various settings, I am currently running straight and true at 81% power (~920mv) 0 core/-500 memory, 242 watts with 42.3 hashes. Not bad, but I want to get the power lower. I will give up a hash or two to get this thing down ~200. Any idea what's up? Sure wish I could run it on v2 I think, but making big changes to other rigs for 40 watts is more than I care to do. Anywhere to score a D/L of v2 to try? Thanks for any help and your fine product.
Hi BigHarryArmsi,

Thank you for your message, nice to hear from you again.

We suggest you to try half of -500 MHz on memory clock, something like -250 MHz. -500 MHz might be to much. Possibly you can even add something to core clock.
You can find some values and OCs for BeamHashIII in our website here maybe they can be applied to your 2080Ti. (We report OC values that we set in Linux. Memory clock in MSI Afterburner should be half of the indicated values.)

miniZ v2 was removed because of some things that needed to be fixed, you can try v3 it should be the same but without the issues in v2. Smiley In any case we think that you may need to change mem clock.

We will create a kernel for 2080Ti that uses a different technique, it should perform equally well and it may cope better with your OC settings.

Let us know if you managed to make it work.

Cheers

Thanks for the kind words, miniZ!
I experimented some more to no avail. Any change in OC setting and hash is diminished and going below 81% power (~920 mv) brings on a crash. Rock steady for a couple of days now at 43.2 hashes @ 241 watts. Zed core clock and -500 memory. Strange settings it seems but any changes diminish or crash. This is a Win10 rig, nothing fancy. 2/850w power supplies Celeron processor 4gb ram. Comparing to others I have seen it's good hashes and meh power, but strange settings to get there, eh? Thanks again for help and kind words.

Hello.
I have e AMD R9 290x. It is one of the hottest VGA. But GMiner have temp limit of 90C. The VGA car mine with 94C. My question is how to change temp limit settings on GMiner and make the card start mining?I started it but after 1 minute the card reach temp limit of 90C and miner stop mining... Thank you.

Example for 3 cards:

-- templimit 75 75 75
I'm thinking you should use Afterburner to modify your power and fan settings. Reduce power limit and raise fan speed till under 70c if you haven't tried that already.

I have a couple of rigs running on ubuntu with 6x R7 370 each. No problems at all with those.
Last few days I been trying to build another rig with HD7970 and R9 280 but those older cards are only hashing 0.2 and 0.4 sol.
I am confused if I need to add the tahiti.bin file somewhere?

Same as per the R7 370, I run ubuntu server 12.04 with fglrx 15.302 drivers. Tried to put the SDK but no changes at all.

I thought I would get more out, anyone knows? Lolliedieb any advice?

I suppose I will assemble a couple into a small rig and use it for a heater. And a couple of BEAM, eh?

Thanks

Thanks for the update miniZ!
All green! The sea of red has gone away, thank you.
Hash rate is still low, though. 1066s ~22, 1080 ~42
Power at 65% clocks at 150 and 450 across the board, temps are down a bit, all ~55 or lower.
1080Ti rig running all green also. Kinda slow, though. 80% power, 150 and 500 clocks generating ~57 hashes.

More speed!

Thanks again, miniZ

update... I must say the 1066s are very responsive to power increase. Increasing power from 65% to 75% gained 10% in hash rate!
up-update... invalids have dropped to near non-existent!

Hi BigHarryArmsi,
how is it going with the OCs?

Based on some values that people have been sharing around we realize that PL~70% (give or take 5%) is the most common power used by miners.
We tried some values for clocks core and memory for the 1080 that we share here for your (and others) reference.
1080: PL=70% (126W), core=+150, memory=+900 resulted in ~40.7 Sol/s. T~65C, Fan~42%.

Tomorrow we plan an update to beta version, could you try then the 1060 6GB and check if there was any improvement?
Thanks!
Cheers

Thanks, miniZ
Lay it on me! Your miner is running steady as usual but these cards are not happy as there are too many invalids and low hash rate, so I am happy to give your update a try. Maybe paste a new command here as those things always cross me up... >lazy is suppose, too<
Running 150 and 500 now at 65% and over time the hash rate is slowly diminishing but this miner is dead steady, otherwise

Hi folks and thank you in advance for answering my question.

I have some 8gb 480s and a few 8gb 580s doing nothing these days and am wondering what kind of hash rate y'all are getting on lolMiner BeamII. I quit running them because they consume so much power but it will be getting cold up here in the frozen North soon and thinking they will make a great heater while mining some Beam, eh?
Curious about current power consumption, hash rate, OC settings etc, etc. I'm on Win10 with a G3930 CPU.

Thanks again if you have an answer for me.

Thanks for the note.
Yes, I am disappointed at the hash rates especially when I see others with 60s for their 1080TIs!
My 1060s are running a little better after some hours ~21, 1080 ~42 Power at 65% and 79% respectively and all clocks at 140 and 400. It seems to make little difference with my OC setting but power makes a noticeable difference. Drivers are all 430+
1080TIs are running ~56 (Blecch!) at 80% and clocks at 140-400 again. (still experimenting there) Power is a big deal, here. Drivers are 419+
Both rigs running on Win10 with G3930 CPUs. CPU use is way down from 144_5! Thanks a bundle for that! OC1 serious decreases, OC2 slightly slower so running with neither at this point.
Any suggestions to get these speeded up are greatly appreciated! Anyone?

Thanks again for all the help.
Hi BigHarryArmsi,
thanks for for the information on cpu usage. It is good to know.
Indeed we introduced some changes, you were the first giving some feedback on this.

We will try to improve the oc1/oc2 for the next release.

We will also check again our OC values for the 1080s. But, maybe someone would like to share here their values. Smiley
Cheers

By the by. The 1080TI rig percentages are all green. The 1060 rig is all orange except for one red.

Both oc1 and oc2 slowed my hashing. OC1 especially, so I am running without either.
5)6gb MSI 1060s 65%-140-400 are ~20, MSI 1080 70%-135-350 is ~40

Hi BigHarryArmsi,
we do not have a 1060 6GB, but on our 1060 3GB and with oc values shown here (table 2, eco) we get only a bit less than what you show.
Our power is at 50%, in there we were aiming for efficiency...maybe a bit extreme for some. The core and mem combination may not be the best for your GPU. Maybe try to tweak a bit your OCs, it looks that with 65% and your 1060 6GB you should get a bit more than 20Sol/s.

We will revise the --oc1 parameter.
Thank you for the feedback.
Cheers

Hi BigHarryArmsi,
the oc1 may get you a performance improvement, but this depends on your settings. It is good to try it and check which is best for your configuration.
You can add to the command line --oc1, or in your case bat file:
Code:
:loop
.\miniZ.exe --url=ssl://1442d0fab48a6d76dee30643ff01d9b7e83790df46f6b7e69a72e891c028202f.1060s@beam.sunpool.top:3334 --oc1
timeout /t 5
goto loop

Regarding the red percentages, it seems that you had a few invalid shares and likely in the beginning. Did the red percentage turned green? Or at least is the percentage converging to 100?
This can happen, but it should be sporadic. Do let us know if it happens often.
Cheers

And yes, the red %s are going away after a couple of hours, first going to dark pink then orange then to green. Expecting them all to go green before long. I had never seen reds before with miniZ on 144_5 so it was unnerving to see a sea of red!

Thanks again for the help. Will be tuning up another rig tomorrow!

Hi, miniZ

I see a lot of chatter about OC settings. (OC1 and OC2) Where do I put that setting. In my bat file? Kinda slow here, I'm thinking I'm missing something. Then a bunch of red percentages after a couple of minutes!

MSI 1080 ~35 Sols 75% 100 and 200 clocks

Hi BigHarryArmsi,
that error indicates that miniZ.exe cannot be found. Could you check that you have the bat file in the same folder as miniZ.exe file?

If this error disappears, you might get a different error message.

You will need to correct a couple of things in your bat file: there is a space after the --url=, also you are trying to mine to an ssl port so you need to add ssl://.
Like this:
Code:
:loop
.\miniZ.exe --url=ssl://1442d0fab48a6d76dee30643ff01d9b7e83790df46f6b7e69a72e891c028202f.1060s@beam.sunpool.top:3334

Let us know how it goes.
Cheers

Wow, thanks miniZ. but after copying your command to my bat file I still get same response... 'not recognized.... blah blah'
Not certain I understand. I have this command in both the miniz_mine file and the miniZ_gui file and both are in the same folder as the 2 .exe files

Thanks again!

update!
Here we go! Lost one of the files from the folder so after reopening the zip got all 5 files and Rock and Roll!

Good day miniZ
Trying to download v1.5q2_cuda10_win and I keep getting trojan/virus alert from Defender. Is this just defender being difficult? Do I need to exclude v1.5q2 before unzipping? I'm running 144_5 now and changing to Beam. Anyone have a suggestion on a pool? Looking at Leafpool, now

Thanks in advance for the help.

BigHarryArmsi,
Yes, you will have to exclude it from antivirus. Also, give the Sunpool.top pool a try.  I have been mining there since the end of January.  Great pool, no complaints.  You can use a different address for each payout if you like.  Just read and understand the first page and record in a safe place the private and public keys.  The pool op is very active in the Beam Discord.

Thanks for the help, DanGB

Mayhaps you can lend a hand here, also? When I first d/l this new version of miniZ I got 2 Trojans. Defender repeatedly quarantined then deleted them but one is still here and will not remove?
Trojan:Win32?CoinMiner.C!.** I didn't complete it accurately here as I dunno it may cause trouble but the ? should be a / and the ** should read cl  Anyone have a clue how to rid this thing? Apparently I can't update miniZ till this is gone. Win10 Defender says it is running but when I click on "actions" to "remove" nothing happens.
Thanks again for any help and Good day to all of you..

Extreme violent behaviour
Your account has been suspended due to your extreme violent behaviour (direct insulting core members).

Now to disagree with these clowns it is "extreme violent behavior"
As for the Vandar? I have no obsession with him or it or whoever that is. But Vandar is the writer of the proposal and the face of what is going on so who am I to address? Another question that will go unanswered I am certain. I have actually prayed for your success as it will accrue to me also, but I do believe you have screwed the pooch here. I have also donated 100s of thousand of BTCZ when they were still worth something to projects around here since beginning in November of 2017. About that faucet idea I gave you and you ridiculed? You gonna create a numbered wallet so you can track the total number of new users? It would be a great help. The users don't need to keep using it once it's downloaded (I wouldn't because I wouldn't trust anyone who calls himself "Trusted Guardian", oh but I see now that you embarrassed by my pointing out how silly "Trusted Guardian" is and changed the name to "Community Guardian") Anyhow. Anyone who thinks I am guilty of extreme violent behavior because of the things I have TYPED in disagreement to what these ignoramuses are doing you can read it all in the BTCZRocks files unless the someone there has deleted them in coverup. (It's interesting reading, kinda)  Oh yeah, you gotta be invited to join BTCZRocks first. Then you can comment and even vote! But be careful to not disagree with the "core members" at the top or they will ban you for a hundred years if you question their lack of knowledge of basic business and accounting practices. They have created a hierarchy ya know and you better toe their line or else. By the by, still wondering how you're going to account for the billion BTCZ you are sequestering from miners for your use? And for those of you "core members" that still don't understand, it's not about the billion, it's about the accounting. And auditing.

Have a nice day.

edit... "Everyone can see what you are doing Harry"? What does that mean? What am I doing? Another question that will go unanswered I am certain. I can't wait.
