Probably the best solution: -OCx will do the optimization, then store the best found parameters somewhere (registry / file) On next start miniZ should read and auto-apply the stored values (maybe enable this with an optional parameter)
Thanks for the suggestion. We'll work on something for the next version. Cheers Has this been implemented in 1.6v6? I cannot find anything documented.

I hope ypu will also develop for AMD cards, and kindly look at the other side of the 2 miner here like Claymore and Phoenix and fix the flaw of this 2 miner in your development, we don't care about the mining dev fee. Hi john1010, thank you for your message. At the moment we are working on algorithm improvements, and general optimisations, after this we will think about it. Cheers

Hi UselessGuru, We did not manage to add that possibility. Sorry about this. We are considering to write the best mode to the configuration file. At the moment it seems to be the best way to implement this. Thanks for the reminder! Cheers

Hi everyone, miniZ version v1.6w is out with major improvements in 150,5 algorithm – Grimm, Defis, Litecash! Please find miniZ version v1.6w @ Download page. Changelog: - 150,5 major improvements: 2-20%, depending on GPU. Turing GPUs have the largest improvements.- Added ocX table to telemetry. Current mode shown in blue, the best in red. - ocX best mode can be saved to configuration file. (See FAQ) - In console, ocX log is more clearly shown. - Added comand line options: ocXreset - reset stats when finishes ocX; ocXsamples increase/decrease samples in ocX search (default 300). - You can already write --mode1=5 to select a mode to specific GPU (before you could not use '='). *** Thank you for all the feedback! ***Download miniZ version v1.6w here. For additional information check the Usage or the FAQ pages. Happy mining!

Is it possible to mine BeamHash III on GTX 1050 2GB under Windows 7? I get an error: miniZ requires at least 1930MB to run, but only has 1913MB
So sad, what's just 17 mb lacks. Whether there is a possibility to reduce Win7 GPU memory usage? Default theme, no wallpaper, 1024 resolution already installed. Maybe downgrade to some old nvidia drivers?
Or the only possibility is to migrate to Linux?

Hi bourbonmorning, Thanks for your message. We'll see if we can shrink it a little. However, keep in mind that this will decrease performance. We do not think that older drivers could help. But if you try this, do let us know if it does. Cheers

Good day, miniZ!
I am running v2 miniZ for some time now, runs like a top without any issues on Win10 running variety of green cards on 2 different rigs mining BeamhashIII. I recently got a 2080TI and needed to D/L miniZ v2 for a new rig and no can do because it's gone? So, I D/L v1.6w and got up and running but cannot run this card below 81% power? It crashes and Windoze takes over to announce that "stop code :Video TDR failure What failed: nvlddmkm.sys" shuts me down and restarts my computer. After much experimentation with various settings, I am currently running straight and true at 81% power (~920mv) 0 core/-500 memory, 242 watts with 42.3 hashes. Not bad, but I want to get the power lower. I will give up a hash or two to get this thing down ~200. Any idea what's up? Sure wish I could run it on v2 I think, but making big changes to other rigs for 40 watts is more than I care to do. Anywhere to score a D/L of v2 to try? Thanks for any help and your fine product.

Hi BigHarryArmsi, Thank you for your message, nice to hear from you again. We suggest you to try half of -500 MHz on memory clock, something like -250 MHz. -500 MHz might be to much. Possibly you can even add something to core clock. You can find some values and OCs for BeamHashIII in our website here maybe they can be applied to your 2080Ti. (We report OC values that we set in Linux. Memory clock in MSI Afterburner should be half of the indicated values.) miniZ v2 was removed because of some things that needed to be fixed, you can try v3 it should be the same but without the issues in v2. In any case we think that you may need to change mem clock. We will create a kernel for 2080Ti that uses a different technique, it should perform equally well and it may cope better with your OC settings. Let us know if you managed to make it work. Cheers

Rock steady for a couple of days now at 43.2 hashes @ 241 watts. Zed core clock and -500 memory. Strange settings it seems but any changes diminish or crash. This is a Win10 rig, nothing fancy. 2/850w power supplies Celeron processor 4gb ram. Comparing to others I have seen it's good hashes and meh power, but strange settings to get there, eh? Thanks again for help and kind words.

Hi BigHarryArmsi, Have you managed to find a nice and stable configuration for your rig? Also, did you find time to check if v3 was working with your setup? We have been working on a new version, hopefully it will deal with your issue. We expect to release it soon. Cheers

miniZ v1.6w is reporting insane high hashrate when beginning to mine Equihash 96.5. This leads to incorrect benchmark results. Other algos - I just tested E1254 - do not show this issue.

Hi jgonzi, Thank you for your kind words. You can find the new miniZ version v1.6w2 with major improvements for Equihash 192,7. Also, you'll be able to find a version for the RTX 30 series. It is still experimental so all the feedback is very much welcome. If you happen to mine other algos (besides 192,7) we would appreciate the feedback too. Cheers

Hi everyone, Thank you for your patience and for using miniZ miner! A new miniZ v1.6w2 version is out with major improvements in 192,7 algorithm - Ycash, Zero, Vidulum, Zclassic, SafeCoin... Please find miniZ v1.6w2 version @ Download page. Changelog: * 192,7 major improvements: ~2-11% depending on GPU. Turing GPUs, and 1050 Ti, have the largest improvements. * Reduced invalid shares on 192,7. * Added 2GB kernel for 192,7 (Linux/Windows7). * Added 3GB kernel for 192,7 (Windows 10). * Added 2GB kernel for 144,5s (beamhash3) (Windows7). * Added experimental support for Ampere GPUs. (Use Cuda 11.1 version.) For the Ampere architectures (RTX 30 series) you need to use Cuda 11.1 versions, and have installed: * NVIDIA 455.23 driver or later, for version compiled with cuda 11.1 (Linux). * NVIDIA 456.38 driver or later, for version compiled with cuda 11.1 (Windows).
