The point is to buy and sell later at a profit. To do this, I prefer to invest in coins with unique features that might be valuable to future buyers.

As far as I can see, TME does not have this, nor is there anything of this sort on the roadmap. Without that's it's just another token.

I'm confused what's the point of buying this coin?

It only has one innovative feature (address pair holders generate coins) and this feature is meaningless to buyers. Once all the coins have been generated, what will set this apart from others?

Yeah, the developer is doing his job very well, the rest is up to us. There are a few simple things we can do as a community to boost the profile of this coin:

1. Post in this thread. Seriously, if you open this thread, and see new discussion, post a reply. Don't hesitate. I'm not saying you should post gibberish just to bump the thread. Contribute to the discussion and create a more active community. Don't let the thread stagnate when joining the discussion is such an easy thing to do.

2. Post on the subreddit. Same reasons as above. The subreddit is pretty much dead at the moment, which really isn't a good look.

3. Follow Viacoin on twitter.

We can't expect non-investors to get enthusiastic about VIA if they've never heard about it. In the long run, it would also be great to get a Viacoin community message board set up, like the one NEM has, but I'm not sure what that would entail.

I think we'll see the cap increase slowly but steadily over the next few weeks as people realize there's still time to get on this train. Then....

It seems to me the problem right now is marketing and awareness for this coin. VIA is relatively feature rich, with a dedicated hard working developer. It's really up to us as a community to act as promoters and get the word out.

I'm a web developer with some spare time on my hands so if there's anything I can do to help, let me know.

Hm, segwit activation should really have boosted the value of this coin. Perhaps the community needs to be more active in promotion. I've got a few VIA so I'm willing to contribute in any way that I can.
