Yeah, the developer is doing his job very well, the rest is up to us. There are a few simple things we can do as a community to boost the profile of this coin:

1. Post in this thread. Seriously, if you open this thread, and see new discussion, post a reply. Don't hesitate. I'm not saying you should post gibberish just to bump the thread. Contribute to the discussion and create a more active community. Don't let the thread stagnate when joining the discussion is such an easy thing to do.

2. Post on the subreddit. Same reasons as above. The subreddit is pretty much dead at the moment, which really isn't a good look.

3. Follow Viacoin on twitter.

We can't expect non-investors to get enthusiastic about VIA if they've never heard about it. In the long run, it would also be great to get a Viacoin community message board set up, like the one NEM has, but I'm not sure what that would entail.

I downloaded the new core wallet but its still stuck at same block from before is there anyway I can delete everything? I uninstalled and re installed but its starts and stuck on week 19

Which blocknumber are you stuck on?
Search for the blockhash of that block (use the block explorer)
After that, use the debug console
reconsiderblock "block hash here"

It should sync after.

Btw using the bootstrap is an option too to sync even faster.
The bootstrap is also available on the website.

1. It has an active, highly-skilled developer constantly working on it, providing code updates and user help
2. It's not trying to take over bitcoin - it's an altcoin, but it's also 10x faster at sending coins and getting confirmations, plus smaller fees
3. I invested in it because of the above, and because I believe it's undervalued. Also, I have patience.
