1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin on the brink on: April 11, 2014, 03:43:44 AM
Dogecoin is by far the best coin right now.

People are actually using it.

Everything else is just one speculative circle jerk.

How does a currency get value? It get's value from people using it, not from people holding it.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TEDx: Bitcoin - The organism, by Jeff Garzik on: April 06, 2014, 07:27:35 AM
Wish their was a stronger speaker that could have handled this. Also I would rather someone not associated with a company or the foundation. Sad this was a huge thing and kinda a let down. Just my opinion.

I agree. Nothing against Jeff but he isnt much of a speaker. It is cool, and seems fitting, that TED aired it tho.

It's not TED, it's TEDx.

TEDx is something that anyone can do. It seems like they invented it to dilute their brand and confuse people and let anyone speak about any idea and make it seem more legitimate.

Trust me there are loads of garbage TEDx talks.

There is a huge difference between TEDx and an actual TED talk... (in terms of quality).

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Would you support a Litecoin [LTC] to X11 algorithm hardfork? on: April 01, 2014, 04:41:32 PM
the problem is that someone said, there are small groups with the optimized version, that's not fair at all

Who said that? I'm interested... in this thread?!?

Get it through your head people, just because the current miners are unoptimized doesn't mean the algo somehow magically is 'low power' just means the hardware is not utilized fully.

But hashing power is relative, so if everyone's miners are unoptimized, then the net result is lower power consumption.

But then power consumption would be relative too...
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My view on the future of Crypto Currencies on: March 29, 2014, 06:23:26 AM
I had a revelation about Ripple and saw its potential about a month ago when a few Ripple based alt coins (BIG coin and LOLcoin) were released and the coins were given away like XRP was originally on bitcointalk.

If you really want to understand ripple, I found hands on experience to be the best teacher.

somehow I ended up with an account negative 999,000 LOLcoins...I don't know how this happened can anyone explain?

So you had a revelation about a coin that creates other coins that puts you in debt of that coin?

What is your revelation?

That it's a good coin because you have negative 999,000 LOLcoins???

^ +1

In the future when you list something for sell, you should list the price you are selling it at.
