Thank you everyone for the welcome! I'm sure there will be challenges ahead but I'm stoked to be part of this organisation! I'm coming out fighting as well! We want to add some additional developer support to the team. We are looking for 1-2 developers initially with the following experience and skills (in any combination!); Python PHP HTML & CSS JavaScript C++ (crypto experience a huge advantage) Git (essential, you'll be working against private and public repositories) C# & Mono - (would be nice for future plans) A bonus:Android, iOS and Win Phone To kick off with we don't have a lot of capital to throw around, but we are building fast and that WILL change. If you, or anyone you know fits the bill, can spare a couple of hours a day, and wants to be in at the beginning of something amazing please get in touch! PM anyone on the team or email me, simon@einsteinium.orgLets get this train rolling!

Hi Einsteinium miners My name is Simon Owen, and I've been approached by the Einsteinium dev team and asked to take charge of the development of the Einsteinium Foundation in the position of Chief Operating Officer. I am excited and intrigued by the developing crypto currency market and I see initiatives like Einsteinium as a strong step in the maturing of that market; a step that I feel sees the beginning of the mainstream adoption of digital currencies. The philanthropic goals of the Einsteinium Foundation simply make sense. My love for science and technology, as well as my yearning to help create a better world, all stem from the belief that I have held since childhood: the applications of the mind are endless. In 1981 I received a detention, for sneaking out of school and spending the afternoon in the local electronics store watching STS-1 Columbia, lift off. In 2012 I watched as we landed a ridiculously complicated piece of autonomous research equipment, the size of a family car, on the surface of another planet. These are the type of achievements we can create together, but only when we have big ideas, and only if we continue to dream big. Making sure that generations to come continue to harbour the desire to see through such technological advancements, in addition to possessing the capability to even be able to act upon these desires, is something which I strongly feel should be at the top of our collective to-do list. Its now very much at the top of mine! I have accepted an offer from the dev team (currently in a part time, unpaid capacity) to oversee and implement their vision of what the future will bring for The Einsteinium Foundation. In the short term these are my main priorities; - Assemble and vote in the Foundation Board, elect a Chairman with the strength and vision to drive the Foundation forward
- Create and ratify the Foundations Constitution in conjunction with the community, the dev team, and the newly elected board
- Assemble and equip a strong public relations team to raise awareness of the Foundation and its goals amongst both the scientific community and the general public
- Development of the Foundation website making it easier to discover, nominate and vote for the projects YOU want to see funded. Expand the content on the site to better explain and introduce the general public to the goals of the Foundation and make it a home for our community
- To add additional, live, information about the Einsteinium Coin under the einsteinium.org domain. There is a lot planned here and Ill be talking more about those plans in the coming days and weeks.
This is an exciting and challenging role which I am looking forward to immensely. Until last week I didn't really know what I wanted to do when I grew up, thats changed. Together we will fund the future, with the future of currency.If you have questions about the Einsteinium Foundation, would like to get involved in an advisory, support or board level capacity please in the first instance contact simon@einsteinium.org I'm based in Manchester (UK) so I'm in the GMT+0 time zone.

Ok, I'll pitch in on the logo contest...

150 FLP in fact might look low, but we have to be careful how we distribute the coin. We have some great giveaway plans in the pipeline. However, I believe you are right - 5000FLP sounds reasonable if the logo is of good quality.
Sent you a PM

Bounties:
150 FLP - Design a logo! The logo should somehow refer to Flappy Bird game, but it cannot contain original assets.
150 is a very low amount considering a 1,000,000 pre-mine and that there are 50 FLP per block 5000FLP or more and I'll do some work on it.

... however it is still saying 1000 per block { "blocks" : 25, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 7.10610817, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 656277, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }

I know we lost one pool but are the other two still in the game?
Think I'll post a thread in announcements telling everyone which coin launches I'm going to have a bash at, then everyone else can stay away - I'm 0 for 9 at the moment
... it's a bit odd that no blocks found for nearly 20 mins :/
still only 23 blocks found and network looks to be at 30Mhash with a difficulty of 3.3 - could be a long night
Interesting ? { "blocks" : 21, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 1.90680555, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 134277, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }
