1  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trading sites? on: February 24, 2021, 10:30:30 PM
I had a gemini account, but changed phone numbers and now cant complete 2 factor authentification. so I signed up with kraken. but certain things I dont like about it.

So, what are my next options? preferably, lower fees, allow ach transfers, and they allow trading of Dogecoin and BTT and other smaller cryptocurrencies.

SHORT VERIFICATION TIME IS NECESSARY because i feel like after this even out after this current trough, which could be just a day or a few, now would be the best time to invest.

has to be available in USA too.

Kraken UI is archaic but it's one of the best exchanges around.

A valid option for you is Coinbase Pro - they are open for U.S. citizens, but the trading pairs are separated by GEO.
Check what trading pairs are available for the U.S. and decide: https://help.coinbase.com/en/pro/trading-and-funding/cryptocurrency-trading-pairs/locations-and-trading-pairs

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what do you think about the few days deep on: February 24, 2021, 10:16:10 PM
I noticed the recent deep generally affected most of the ALT coin within 48 hrs turning Red. i bought EOS at $5.2 but i was panic to sell reason because most of my assets was greatly at loose and i couldn't bear the pain so i have to sell off most them to be able to secure them, not too long the market changes direction again and already i have lost most of my investment.

Do we expect another deep soon?
what is your intake, please be free to drop your comments.

I also managed to match some 'market orders' that took a deep dip, and I'm happy.

I don't expect any big dip soon without any notable bad news. This one was expected as Bitcoin can't go only in one direction.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent F2Pool dump on: February 24, 2021, 09:31:56 PM
Interesting theory from financial daily City AM:
...

I really cannot understand the people who genially believe in the theory that a "3633 Bitcoin in a single transaction" ($0.181bn) to disrupt with %22 a market with a daily volume of $150bn+?!

Bitcoin is volatile; Bitcoin is moving. Imagine what will happen when Tesla decides to cash-out.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction is coming on: February 24, 2021, 08:21:24 PM
Sell your coins while you can, price is almost certain to correct downwards by at least 50% over next few months.

Corrections are inevitable, but there is nothing scary if you are here for the long game.

If you are right, I and I guess many other people will be able to buy again at lower prices. So again, nothing to be scared off Smiley
One of the biggest mistakes in the crypto world and in any existing market is to panic, I think that if it falls below 50% it does not matter, it is known that the price will recover again, what is difficult to determine is when it will happen.

If we take into account that many corporations and some famous people in the world are buying Bitcoin, they are not going to buy to lose, they buy to generate profits, the best investments and the vision of the future that they undoubtedly have in the market is unique, it should be noted They have very good financial advisers, that can be a great guarantee.

You are right.

The panic among FOMO and the lack of discipline are our biggest enemies in trading and crypto, but in life in general.

Always make investment decisions on a clear head and only with money you can afford to lose.

6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Automated orders affecting price dip? on: February 23, 2021, 10:37:32 PM
Traditional traders use a stop loss at 5-10% below the current price. A downward push of 20% can make all the stop losses pop and that cascades into an avalanche...

Leveraged traders use a multiplier which means they can get in a forced liquidation situation.

Going short can cause liquidation when price rises...

Many more of these killer events...

This is true only for the margin trading stop-loss orders.

All perpetual contract futures, which have billions in daily volume, are trading 'on paper', and the avalanche would affect only the specific contract and for a short time. What could affect real trading is that many traders use futures contracts to indicate what will follow on margin/spot trading.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone bought BTC at $6K yesterday at an exchange and they want it back on: February 23, 2021, 09:33:44 PM
I don't think he has no choice but to return it just like what you have said they know his address and name. But I think it's the exchange's fault and not the user the good thing to do is to maybe give the user a reward for returning the Bitcoin but if the buyer becomes greedy well I'm not sure what will be the PDAX's move after that.

What if they have their address and name? Is this exchange a part of a mob clan or something?!

Of course they could do something - sue with the exchange if there is nothing in the TOS about order price deviation and cancelation! This is not his fault. If this was a DEX, you couldn't do a thing!
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next 100x-1000x coin? on: February 22, 2021, 11:10:57 PM
I've noticed that people are blindly buying almost every 'swap' coin. So, in the past two months, I started buying small amounts around their announcements and while it's not x1000, this brings me easily x10.

The latest examples are JulSwap (JULD) and Helmet.insure (HELMET)
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to investment strategy BLSH? on: February 22, 2021, 08:44:05 PM

BLSH is still a valid strategy, but you have to wait longer now as it's after every disruptive news/period like the Tesla entering the crypto.

Today I bought under $50k, plan to sell at around $56.7, and then to repeat.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Made Some Bitcoin WhatsApp stickers on: February 22, 2021, 08:08:51 PM
Good work, although Sticker 1 is more like begging for coins

I installed them and started sending Sticker 1 to my friends demanding coins Cheesy

I must agree that these are a cutter, installed too.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Artist _ bitcoin on: February 21, 2021, 09:22:25 PM
Hi there!

I'm Sabrina and I'm an artist (not digital).

I'd like to begin to sell my artworks by accepting bitcoin, but I don't have (and I don't want) an e-commerce.
How can I begin to enter in the Cryptocurrency world? And also to let the people know that I'm available to accept this form of payment?

I don't know anything about cryptocurrency and I didn't really understand by reading few articles.

Thank you very much for reading my topic!

Sabrina

12  Economy / Gambling / Re: We'll be suspending YOLOdice on 1st March on: February 21, 2021, 09:11:11 PM

Sorry to hear that.

YOLOdice was one of the few sites offering something new a few years ago. While I'm not playing there for a long time, I made some coins from investment back then Smiley

Good luck with all your future projects!
13  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Failure of exchanges on: February 20, 2021, 09:28:34 PM
Guys, I’m asking for your opinion.
In connection with the last Ddos-attak on the EXMO exchange (the official response of the exchange), it is a question of time who will be the next target. Have you ever had a breakdown in the stock exchanges you use? If so, how has management responded?

DDoS attacks are pretty nasty and even the most prepared sites could fall. But if the exchange has adequate security, they are not such a problem because DDoS attacks are blocking only access to the front-end without touching the funds.

In general, keep on exchanges the bare minimum for your trading needs and be patient when it happens.
14  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Safepal Vs Ledger Nano S : Which is better on: February 20, 2021, 09:09:18 PM
Ledger Nano S  wallet has already very good repute but it is a bit expensive as compare to the newly launched SafePal hardware wallet invested by binance.
Which of these two wallet is more safe and if both have same features, its better to buy safepal wallet and save some dollars ?

https://shop.ledger.com/products/ledger-nano-s
https://shop.safepal.io/products/safepal-hardware-wallet-s1-bitcoin-wallet

Any hardware wallet is better than no hardware wallet. The clear winner here is Ledger Nano S.

Nano S has better software, supports multi-sig transactions, and is most important to me - I trust it more.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Doge or Bitcoin? Which to buy? on: February 20, 2021, 07:22:03 PM
I only have $10000, should i buy doge or btc? Why?

DOGE is a joke coin, a meme coin currently pumped from Elon Musk and sheep that blindly follow the mass.

If you have a higher risk tolerance, try some of the popular DeFi/Smart-contract coins. DOGE will remain a joke.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Mars Coin - new Tweet of Elon Musk on: February 17, 2021, 09:52:43 PM
People are like sheep. They blindly dumped the money over another dead and useless coin just because Musk "said the name".

I wonder too what will be the next "gem surprise".
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxless society idea on: February 17, 2021, 09:12:11 PM
Forced spending on government-controlled inflated money is just another form of taxation.

I find it even worse than the current because now you still have places with low or zero taxation.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic II on: February 16, 2021, 07:45:17 PM
So yeah, don’t panic.
How about BTC is going down all the way below $10k? :-P

/s

I would welcome it... if it immediately bounces back to $30k Cheesy

Buying cheap Bitcoin and then tripling the dollar value in a day... sound like heaven! So, Don't Panic II!
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we get another golden oppurtunity to buy? on: February 15, 2021, 07:53:16 PM
Like many bitcoiners im one of the people who didnt bought bitcoin at 6000$ or even 15k or 20k$ and i wonder if its possible to see bitcoin in at least 20k again
If no should i buy now or wait more to get lower price ?

It looks like that now the price is moving only in one direction - up!

So we have this golden chance - it's NOW!

I don't expect a cheap Bitcoin anytime soon.
Im really afraid from the idea that bitcoin will down after i buy it...i already have many bad experiences with that and i dont want to feel the same thing again...in the same time i want to make some profits from bitcoin because unfortenetly im one of the few bitcoiners that didnt celebrate the nrw year with this fantastic bull run 😭

We are all afraid that we can lose money.

Try to invest only amounts that don't affect your daily life and you can afford to lose. And look after the investment as a piggy pot and don't compare the dollar value daily.
20  Economy / Gambling / Re: Honest99 - Ethereum-based casino you don't need to trust on: February 15, 2021, 07:36:27 PM
The whole concept is BS:

"Choose a number between 0 and 99 and place a bid in ETH

If your guess was correct, get x66 of your bid"

For 1 of 99 we age getting x66 odds? Thanks, but nope.

And the current fees are (almost) larger than you have in the smart contract Cheesy
