you won't get warning for mem. errors from the miner Test the card by letting it work for 24h. If it survives 24h its good and stable Hmmm, well the errors im referring to are the ones reported by HWINFO, after dialing it back to 2025 mem freq then they no longer occur at the cost of Hashrate of cause , so you are saying these errors don't matter? well it looks like they don't really affect found shares, or not in a way i'm aware of. Interesting, well for now I think i'm gonna stick to a freq without errors which the highest I can get is 2075 which gives me 29.6MH when I use a core voltage offset of -96. Thanks again for the help  Omg, did you get to that with sapphire Rx 570 4gb??? How did you get it??? If you use the same GPU, could you pass me the BIOS? Or tell me how to edit original BIOS please |

it seems the issue is the combination of the driver and windows, when you try it in linux with more than 4 GPUs you have activate in the BIOS the option 4g decoding, then, when you try to boot the OS, it doesnt work, but it seems the problem is the the boot sistem, if you have an EFI system partition, it should work, we are going to try in 2 or 3 hours, we will keep you informed. |

Hey guys, I've already done a lot of this so let me give some info I learned. Alright first off, for Z170 and Z270 chipsets, I found that the best way to get the 5th card working is to DISABLE memory encoding, install one graphics card at a time. If you're getting any code 43's on 4 cards, you need to regedit hack Windows "DisplayLessPolicy" and "LimitVideoPresentSources" (google). Once 4 work fine, install the 5th and reboot. Now you should be getting code 12's. NOW you go into BIOS and Enable 4G Encoding. Start Windows. 4 cards may work but one card might report problems. Disable this card in windows, wait 30 seconds, reenable it. It works. If you have older drivers, you're on your way to 6+ GPUs. Now to those unlucky to have the RX500 series. The newest drivers have a bug which I've submitted a bug report for. Details of this bug can be found here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1604567/polaris-bios-editing-rx5xx-rx4xx/2740#post_26060006In short, you can disable one of the 5 cards, install the 6th, and boot into Windows fine. Try to enable the last card though, NOEXECUTE BSOD. However I want to go a bit further here. I was able to get 7 running perfectly fine under Ubuntu. Had to make sure everything was installed UEFI/GPT compatible and also for some reason GRUB bootloader doesn't work with 4G Encoding enabled, so I had to set up booting directly using the kernel's EFI stub loader (google). The reason why I got off Linux is power management, the cards wont accept BIOS voltage values lower than 987mV or so which is much too high for me, and there's no tool like AB to fix it. Also to those wondering, I've tested flashing RX400 BIOS onto RX500 cards. Here's the weird thing, the cards are HAPPY to accept 400 BIOS. Under GPU-Z and AtiFlash it will show up as Polaris 10 architecture. They fully function and happily mine away. BUT the damn drivers STILL show them as RX580! You cant even get the older drivers to DETECT the backflashed cards! Can't force the 400 drivers on them either. This is a very strange result, because RX400 series can be flashed UP to RX500, and SHOW as RX500. That's the result of my 3 days of grueling experimentation. what are the steps to get UEFI and finally get 7 running? is it enough to set like this in the installation?  |

driver limitation of the rx 500series can't do 6 or more gpu yet
How did you get 6x 570? I've been trying it for a long time with no success  I noticed this today, i can get to work only 5 of 6, 570GPU with the latest AMD driver. I think i will flash to 470 vendor and stay using 17.1.1 relive. There was no error, windows just rebooted after all gpus stopped. (so the windows loaded it, after instant reboot ) |

Weird, yesterday i flashed a few rx570 with custom bios and it worked just fine. Do you use command line or gui?
I did both, but maybe I made a mistake in some step, I don't know, could you please show me how did you flash your modified BIOS? And maybe this is a lot to ask but, could I have your modified BIOS if it works good? Does it solve the driver's issue that doesn't allow to use more than 5 Rx 570? Thank you in advance |

For atiwinflash: > atiwinflash -p 0 -f Elesmere470.rom Use cards that are very similar in design, for example asus strix 470 -> asus strix 570. To be honest i have no idea if card flashed like that will work properly. On the other side, if you can flash 470 with 570 bios, then 570 with 470 should be possible too. <fingers crossed> Don't forget to run Atiwinflash in command line with Administrator rights Atiwinflash doesn't recognize the 570  |

UPDATE v1094:update/replaced claymore-eth-v9.2 by claymore-eth-v9.3 (reload/reboot to start using it if you are using 9.2 now) Z170 / Z270 - 4G or other boot problems on your motherboard / Possible solutionI prepared few different verions of kernels with different boot settings. If you had problem with current SMOS version, please check those below. Download each image FROM the TOP and reflash it and tell me: 1. What problem you had 2. Which images didnt fixed this problem 3. Which images Fixed your problem note. If you will have error AFTER 14'000'000 secotr in flashing, then ignore it and consider it flashed succesfully ! Please download and flash those images. Take first, flash, boot, if wont help take one below... etc ... My solution is 5x 570 + 2x 1060 gtx for now. 5x29MHs + 2x 23.5 MHs per rig, works fine. How did you get it? When we install 5x 570 it works fine, but if we reboot, sometimes it works, sometimes windows reports error 43, it isn't stable. In ethOS or simpleminingOS, we need to activate 4g decoding to use more than 4 GPUs but it fails and it doesn't boot Yes after the first or second restart again 43. I will restore the patch and immediately new patch application. Then everything works fine. Now I've done 3 restarts behind and it's still working. I tried and you were right |

The same issue on Gygabyte Z170 Gaming K3 and 6 cards Aorus RX570 4gb.
Windows 10 is working good with only 5 and with 6th is reseting.
All checked
- other risers - not work
- other power suply - not work
- other (same) mMotherboard - not work
- other 6 cards - not work.
Did any of You overcome the problem?
i think you must check your pcie setting, set the pcie to x1 x2 x3 or auto (find the best) then you can disable wlan too at bios, disable onboard vga the only thing we can do is to disable wlan, we cant do the other settings in this mboard |
