What are some functionalities that the AI can do?

I would trust ICO that has a working product or a beta. There's so many vaporware out there. Some of them end up being scams or having no progress.

Will the project be using a bot to do the arbitrage or is a person doing it?
Also, do you have any past performance charts?

Aside from this coin being so much faster than bitcoin, is there any other value proposition?

I personally invest in altcoins because of the volatility and potential upside. For some of the smaller cap ones with a real business, the coin has the potential to have a bigger % return than ones with the big market cap due to having room to grow.

What's a good masternode coin that has a decent market and not so high starting cost?

Depends on your risk level. If you prefer to be on the safer side and still have huge potential, I would go with the top ERC20 tokens like EOS, VEN, OMG, ICON.
If you have a higher risk level and want a higher return, I would try to find coins with a market cap of around 30m-100m but still ERC20.
I am very bullish on ERC20 since coinbase is adding erc20 support.

I like how there's so many hidden low cap potential coins in Kucoin. It's definetely the higher tier of a mid size exchange.

If you're looking to invest and hold long term, I would suggest going through coinmarketcap and looking at coins around 30m-100m for a higher potential gain.
If you're looking to trade for the short term, the top 30 coins would be great since they have consistency with the quantity and volatility. You can either use poloniex or Huobi since they provide margin trading as well. You can try learning technical indicators such as moving averages, RSI, Fibonacci and Elliot wave and/or use patterns like Flag, head and shoulders, etc.
