Everyone in 2018 is talking about the potential of cryptocurrencies since the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto released a nine-page paper explaining the technology in 2009. All have their opinion about its approximate 743 percent gain in the past 12 months. Here are statements from people considered as Richest 1%:
HOWARD SCHULTZ, Starbucks Corp. Chairman and Founder on 01/25/2018:
“I believe that we are heading into a new age in which blockchain technology is going to provide a significant level of a digital currency that is going to have a consumer application. And I believe that Starbucks is in a unique position to take advantage of that.”
WARREN BUFFETT, Chief executive officer, Berkshire Hathaway Inc. and billionaire investor on 10/29/2017:
“People get excited from big price movements, and Wall Street accommodates … You can’t value Bitcoin because it’s not a value-producing asset.” It's a “real bubble.”
PETER THIEL, Co-founder, PayPal and billionaire venture capitalist on 10/26/2017:
Bitcoin critics are “underestimating [it] … It's like a reserve form of money, it's like gold and it's just a store of value. You don't need to use it to make payments.”
BILL GATES, Co-founder, Microsoft Corp. on 10/02/2014:
“Bitcoin is exciting because it shows how cheap it can be. Bitcoin is better than currency in that you don’t have to be physically in the same place and, of course, for large transactions, currency can get pretty inconvenient.”
By the way, What do you think about the Bitcoin? Write what you think about bitcoin in comments. Let's see what people over here have to say about bitcoin.

The question itself is the answer “PANIC”. Everyone knows cryptocurrency market is highly volatile and risky. And most of the people do emotional trading. They sell when it is crashing. And suffer from the loss. They panic and sell in the loss. What is the point in selling at low? One must wait for the market to turn green and bullish. The way to stop the panic is to not engage in panic-inducing activities such as day trading. It is like the old joke; a man goes to the doctor and says my arm hurts when I put it overhead. The doctor says don’t put your arm overhead ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) If you are in need of urgent money than selling is OKAY but for profit, HODL is the best.

In my perspective, It is not too late to invest in Bitcoin. A very low percentage of people own Bitcoin. Take a look around you. How many people actually have Bitcoin? It’s a low percentage, perhaps around 4%. Bitcoin is only owned by less than 5 million people worldwide and still has tremendous growth potential. Everybody thought they were too late at $100, $500, $1000, $5000, and now almost $10,000. Nobody knows the answer for sure but it’s worth researching and getting into with a small amount of money that you can afford to lose. There's a saying in Crypto world. Keep calm and buy bitcoin ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

In Korea, ordinary people, with no prior experience in cryptocurrencies, have been lured into the cryptocurrency markets in recent weeks by the soaring prices of Bitcoin and its competitors.
Nowhere has the public frenzy been more feverish than in South Korea. It was on South Korean exchanges that the price of Bitcoin first hit $10,000 last Monday, hours before traders in the United States reached the same level of exuberance.
Even cryptocurrency enthusiasts in South Korea are concerned about the sudden rush into Bitcoin and Ether.
They say investors are often getting in with little grasp of how cryptocurrencies work, like the decentralized network where all the transaction records are kept, or why they may be valuable over the long term.
Korean investors say they know they might lose money, but they are holding out hope.

To the surprise of nobody, Warren Buffett isn’t interested in Bitcoin at all. Warren’s strategy is to have an adequate but consistent return over a long period of time. The key is that he knows he will be rich someday, but he is not in a hurry. In cryptocurrency world, it is not possible to make a position and forget it for x number of years. Hence, it does not fit Warren’s style. So what is your opinion?

Stick With Long Term Value Investing Strategies. Don’t let fear and greed change your investing criteria and values. Avoid being overwhelmed by outside forces that affect your emotions. Never sell into panic.

That's an interesting idea. If all of the bitcoin is extracted, its value will be unimaginable in the future. Because the price is determined by supply and demand.

I agree. Justin Sun's marketing skills are amazing. I don't know where Tron's going to be, but I think I'll still have to watch it a little more.

I agree to include the technologies and innovations in bitcoin. But I don't think it's a good idea for students to do trading.
