1  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SOLD BTCC Bitcoin Poker Chips - 5 chips set #2 on: September 09, 2024, 09:40:26 PM
This set has been sold.

Given it was a silent auction, we have no way to verify this as true.
2  Economy / Collectibles / Re: MrCryptHodl - CHECK YOUR FUNDING! on: September 09, 2024, 07:28:02 PM
I think what PMICT is saying though one is most assuredly malicious - keeping keys - while screwing up loads is not necessarily malicious and is more along the lines of negligence.

we do know he was traveling - he may not have access to anything that would allow him to verify claims and/or access to the funds.

Do I think he is in the right? hell no.

but I think of it along the lines of like microsoul was - you never know if you will get your funds. It was more of screwing up vs trying to steal with microsoul - I think the same is here for the 1hodlclub.

He def should have followed up and funded coins as soon as they arrived - no doubt about it. just simply holding funds because they never let you know it arrived - meh, that's bs.

But i also know that some coins were melted - and some people begged for not having their "funded" coins actually funded. so not every "funded" coin address should necessarily be funded. But this is where that transparency is lacking.

He owes a lot of people, isn’t communicating with them & has made sales on Twitter since this was brought to light.  A con is a con 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's possible not loading some coins whose owners never followed up was a premeditated way to soft scam, and given his lack of communication for several months it is not a huge leap.  If that is possible, it is also possible the private keys were kept.

What I am saying, and I think Yoda is as well, is that if Mr. Hodl soft scammed by not funding coins which should be funded there is a non zero chance they are also holding onto the private keys.

Silent auctions are so fucking lame.  Especially from a new seller.

Put on your big boy pants and start an auction at loaded value.

4  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Welcome Bit VIP Coins! VIP Bitcoins & Crypto Collectables (Grand Opening!) on: August 21, 2024, 01:03:29 PM
Lesbian Cow,

The world does need innovation and I intent to bring that to the space by adding my own twist to things and bringing new ideas.

When I think innovators I think people like Nikola Tesla, The Wright Brothers, Mike Caldwell in this space....not forum user number 137 to put a private key on a physical coin and cover it with a hologram.

Why do your coins need private keys?
5  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Welcome Bit VIP Coins! VIP Bitcoins & Crypto Collectables (Grand Opening!) on: August 21, 2024, 12:01:13 PM
Does the world need more loaded coins from an unknown/no trust maker?
6  Economy / Collectibles / Re: MrCryptHodl - CHECK YOUR FUNDING! on: July 12, 2024, 02:23:29 PM
My unsolicited take:

1)  MrCyrptoHodl's method of funding/not funding coins is sloppy at best.
2)  MrCryptoHodl's customer service dealing with this issue sucks donkey dick.
3)  It is still too early to call it a skam, but also too late to bury heads in the sand as if there is no problem with the coins.

7  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Loaded Silver Casascius 1 BTC MS68 PL on: July 02, 2024, 09:46:16 AM
another quick question, did any of you have a coin regraded and receive a better grading the 2nd time?

There are several who made small fortunes buying and cracking early ANACS slabs (pre 2017),sending for regrade at ANACS, selling coin with new higher grade.  This was very popular for Casascius coins.

I say we auction the 1000 btc gold starting at 0, no reserve or any of that nonsense.

Please update from PST to EST as well.

Edit to add: In thinking, perhaps just auction them all.

Didn't even need a replacement hologram as they replaced the same one.

15  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Silver/Gilt 1 BTC Casascius Coin from 2013 on: March 15, 2024, 12:55:34 AM
Confirming the transaction has completed and the coin was sold to Aria42 for 1.35btc.

Thanks to minerjones for brokering this deal. For posterity, the offers on this coin ranged from 1.15 at the lowest to 1.52 at the highest. Offers that were higher than the sell price obviously did not pan out and I attribute that to the recent run up in BTC/USD while this coin was on offer. Thanks to everyone for their interest.

Thanks for the excellent data point and congratulations to both you and the new owner.  Lovely coin.
16  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Question of Casascius Value (this perticular coin) on: March 08, 2024, 02:57:15 PM
Ordered some. Any opinions on value of it with the flaw?

Need better photos of both sides of the coin.
17  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Question of Casascius Value (this perticular coin) on: March 07, 2024, 09:07:36 PM
Yes the one in the Square. One in the circle is not there, only in the.
picture. Its sealed in that plastic i do not have anything else to put it in probably be a bad idea to remove it. Its perfect besides the ding.

The soft plastic flips as shown are PVC which is not ideal for the coin.  The stiff plastic flips are mylar which are far better and even better is an airtite capsule.
18  Economy / Collectibles / Re: AVAST! Bitcoin Penny® Spanish Treasures Collection now be here! on: March 07, 2024, 07:21:15 PM
If I had a dollar for every time a user accused me of running a Ponzi Scheme only to have it discovered that they are running a Ponzi Scheme… I truly feel sorry for those who got caught up in this mess and won’t hold my breath for an apology from any of you. Some people just can’t be trusted to hold money for others. Now you know.

It's comments such as this that remind me how much I miss Zepher [RIP]

Viz

Ahhh yes.  I remember the Slack scam where someone pretended to be Bobby Lee and scammed 20+ BTC from a user there and then was so generous with their supporters until they overdosed.  Class act.

This is about Bitcoin Penny running a Ponzi though...  I really don't think we need to start investigating and shining a light on the wrongdoing of people who are no longer here.

EDIT: Funny that your post is merited by the guy who ran the friends of satoshi scam...

Making baseless accusations at someone who cannot defend themselves as they passed away.  You truly are a despicable piece of shit.

That's actually a reasonable price.  Best of luck, would also love to see photos.
