Going no-hands in Spotify. Let the songs come to me.
2  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Have amazon gift codes, paypal funds -> want to trade for BTC on: November 27, 2014, 05:11:30 PM
If you have a receipt for the GCs, PM me and we can arrange an escrow.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's about time to turn off PoW mining on: September 20, 2014, 05:12:17 PM
A fork would not work, all it would do is weaken bitcoin. The best choice at this point would be to just switch to an alt.
4  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you really earn more money because you went to college? on: September 04, 2014, 09:16:18 PM
It is a tricky question. Even if you go to college, you need to actually use the education you obtain to your advantage. The fact that you went to college by itself does not guarantee anything.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: Are you addicted to BTC price checking. Please VOTE on: August 22, 2014, 10:10:21 PM
I always have preev open in a tab to easily check the price.
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: What video games do you guys play on your own? on: August 04, 2014, 02:58:37 AM
Anything with a strong story I usually play by myself to stay focused.
7  Other / Off-topic / Re: USPS 1-day Express, took 3 days! on: July 21, 2014, 03:22:55 AM
I had the same thing happen to me, except my package ended up arriving on time. Just claim a refund if it doesn't and donmt take anything the tracking system says to heart.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Martingale System on: July 07, 2014, 06:36:28 AM
So how much can you make using martingale? It seems very little then.
I have tried a few runs with one satoshi as base. At lucky times, I made 200% the amount in one day while I have lost 0.001 within seconds on many other days. Your expected profit is and will be negative since House edge exist, people only use it because they think they can succeed.
Do you have any screen shots of you doing this? I think that it is very far fetched that you could have tippled your money using the martingale system.
Unfortunately, no. It was pretty long time ago. Impossible to even profit from this in a long run. In many occasions, I have got a 18 lose streak. It was probably just my luck.
I call BS on this as 200% profit means that you have thousands of wins prior to losing 18 in a row. Your odds of that happening are just not there
Its up to you to believe it or not, I left it there for a few days, from 0.001 to 0.002.
Mathematically, it simply doesn't work. You are more likely to lose all you have through a bad streak than you are of reaching 200% profit. The exact calculation can be found lying around on the web.
9  Economy / Goods / Re: EXTREMELY HOT peppers for crypto! on: June 23, 2014, 07:36:09 PM
Fan of hot sauce here. I would love to see how good these peppers are, so I may give it a shot. I just need to get some crypto. Tongue
10  Other / Meta / Re: Securing my forum account on: June 06, 2014, 07:27:17 PM
It's best to include it naturally in a post. But if you can't, you can send a PM to an account that won't delete it (you could use DefaultTrust for this). After you send it, check your outbox and make a note of the PM's ID (visible in the quote URL).

Add it to your signature and the bitcoin address section. Even if the hacker changes it, theymos can check.

I can't conveniently check signature edits.

I think you're supposed to send it to yourself in a PM

I can't conveniently see PMs if all recipients have deleted it.
Thank you for your reply. I will do it the PM way, since I probably won't start being completely active until later on.
11  Other / Meta / Securing my forum account on: June 06, 2014, 05:26:22 PM
If my account ever gets hacked, I want people to know what my Bitcoin Address is so that I can sign messages and verify my identity. Is there any place in the forums to do that? I can't just post it randomly around here, because the hacker could simply edit the post with his own address or delete the post. It should be something like the Auctions sub-forum where you can't edit or delete posts, except this would obviously not belong there.
12  Other / Meta / Re: Quality of English on: May 24, 2014, 05:03:39 PM
Don't report people because of their bad English. Bitcoin is a global currency with no official language, and so should be these forums.
13  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ban User That Calls Himself 'counter' on: April 18, 2014, 06:19:58 PM
I totally did not get any of this at all.  Huh
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: MaidSafe is decentralizing the internet like Bitcoin decentralizes currency on: April 18, 2014, 06:09:32 PM
This is a really cool concept. I'm a bit confused though. Until there are enough people running the software, will some files become inaccessible if someone turn of their computer?
Im still waiting for someone to answer this guy's question.
15  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ask an Atheist Day on: April 18, 2014, 05:57:57 PM
This is getting way too off-topic, people! Let's now talk about asking atheists questions...  Wink
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: I AM SATOSHI NAKAMOTO on: April 08, 2014, 01:34:51 AM
I don't think one person could have developed such an amazing thing. It had to have taken a group or something. Satoshi Nakamoto is the name of the group!
Or just a random member, perhaps? Like the "face" of the group.
17  Other / Off-topic / Re: Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. WTF? on: March 31, 2014, 12:52:53 AM
It amazes me that Hollywood would have us believe military satellites can read your morning newspaper from ten miles away. Obviously untrue. But I don't understand how they can't get ANYthing? Just on the simplest most basic level, there were 250 people with cell phones, and I'm sure they had onboard wifi, they can't use the telcom satellites to triangulate the last ping...? Or is there some reason that would not be feasible...?
The search area is enormous. It is extremely ridiculous, which is why they haven't really found anything. The plane could also simply not have been there.
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: [SURVEY] How do YOU use Bitcoin? on: March 09, 2014, 05:33:00 PM
Done. You should probably change the "When did you start using bitcoin?" question to just the year.
19  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is a good BTC web host in your opinion? on: March 09, 2014, 05:06:28 PM
I am looking for all 3 of those options actually. Really, any host that you list helps. Thanks for the contribution, gweedo. Anybody else, please feel free to post your favorite providers, since I am looking forward to compare them and choose depending on my needs.
20  Economy / Service Discussion / What is a good BTC web host in your opinion? on: March 09, 2014, 04:33:37 AM
I am trying to get into the BTC world, and I thought that a good way to do it would be to ask here for a good webhost that accepts BTC. I'll be back tomorrow to check the answers.
