Why are there no discussions, the project is dead? Seems a lot of interest today given the listing on Coinbase.

There's a legacy recovery page on Blockchain. The modern one accepts 12 words, and creates a new wallet and imports the old one from the backed up words. I hope that works. If not message me and I hope I can help more.

The amount of NEM that will be born to you in NEMesis will be 2.25 million NEM. As for the sliver coins, it is definitely being planned 100% but some of the fine details haven't been worked out yet. But yes, a lot of work has been put into make sure that all NEMsters will get a NEM silver coin.
What's the latest on the silver coins for the NEMster stake holders?

Been running the new NEM client, stand-alone this time instead of web installer, and it's been working fine for hours.
I think in a week NEM will stabilize for a little while, then shoot up in a month or two. Just guessing.

Zero. Communism always fails. Does that number factor in the Nazis killed by Russian Communists in WWII to indirectly save the Allies' butts? Because Canada is building a monument to honour those dead Nazis along with the other victims. Sorry, this may be spectacularly off topic, but NEM isn't "communism".

I hope everything is moving along still. Looking forward to the launch.
Is this info from the newsletter still accurate? "Therefore, each stake will be entitled to 2,249,999.99975 NEM coins." That, and a silver coin for which accounts?

Who else is getting Flash crashes in Firefox for the NEM wallet tab?
Sometimes NIS won't boot too, and/or the wallet amount shows as a non-number or not at all while it shows transactions underneath.

I managed to fix the JavaFX error that was coming up on my Windows 8. I'd previously installed Java 8 64 bit, then 32 bit. NEM would never install, it always stopped with a JavaFX error no matter the browser tried, nor after reinstalling Java.
I uninstalled Java 8, ran CCleaner and did registry fixes and general cleanup. I downloaded the online Java 8 32 bit exe, ran it, removed Ask of course. Tried the one click install, and it worked this time once Java 8 was authorized in Firefox.

Just 834 addresses? Came on guys! What are you waiting for??? this is really unbelievable! There are some many people that want a stake...and other people who seems really don't care Don't worry, there's enough time, they will come. we just wait ,the less people do, the more value of nem. That's a selfish thought though, and we're supposed to be the No Envy Movement. Being gracious is going to get NEM further than greed. How would you feel if you were 50% of the way to having your stake, but end up with 0? Would you perhaps hate NEM and work against it, instead of FOR NEM, at that point?

If we want NEM to be mainstream, it has to be accessible to people with a seamless install, not one with a bug that seems to affect random people who've installed the required Java version.
Sorry you think that client is too complex to deal with. I have no IT background and I find it really easy to deal with compare to the early days with NXT. This client is by far way to easy to deal with. I have no probs what so ever. You're an IT guy you'll figure it out bro. I did and im just a average Joe. It's not too complex for *me*; I worked around the bug by switching machines. We can't expect most people to have that sort of luxury and skill, however. I'm trying to look out for average and beginner users who run into the same bug I have. That's partly why I'm setting aside 1% of my stake to give to people in the first year who've made honest claims, but were denied their 100% share for various technical and time-deadline glitches.

I had the same problem. I had to re register with a Gmail address - not Hotmail/Outlook. Then you will receive your activation code hopefully That worked, thanks!

I hope the November 22nd deadline for Phase 2 is extended until reports of JavaFX errors subside, or sometime in early December. On one of my two computers, I got this error in both Firefox and Chrome despite installing the correct Java 8 32bit version after removing the incorrect Java 8 64bit version. I work in IT, and am concerned that the complexity involved in installing NEM at this stage is unfair to people without the ability to proceed past Phase 1 requirements, given the beta testing stage of the NEM client.

Posting here, because I can't fix registration on nemcoin.com forum. The resend authentication link gives this error when I enter my email address and password, leaving "new email" and activation boxes blank: "Please enter a valid email address, ." If I go to log in, it says I need the activation code, but it's not in my email.

i have java 8. Im getting this message when I try to launch the nem client from bob.nem.ninja/webstart . Using chrome. IE dosnt work either and noting happens when I click Yes, start NEM client for me I got the same error on Windows 8. I had to use a 32 bit Vista computer with 32 bit Java 8 U25 to run it in Firefox. On Windows 8 64 bit I'd initially made the mistake of installing Java 64 bit before removing it and putting on 32 bit to work with 32 bit Firefox. It gave the JavaFX error.

I'd be mildly interested in attending in Winnipeg if it's on a weekend, it's a long 6h drive though.
I'm going to set up another #YQRbitcoin Symposium in Regina this May.
