1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ipoMiner - Profitable multipool targeting new coins on: April 15, 2014, 11:57:11 PM
I also catched my miners several times with the typical message: "lost x shares due to stratum disconnect". I didnīt notice that before...

Yes is what i am getting also, good to know its not just me.

@saykor You should have WC confirmed after 8.75 hours from the time you begin mining it. It takes 350 confirmations from the time the block is initially mined, at a 1.5 minute block time.

@MrJoshwaa Could it be instability in your local internet connection? What port are you using on ipoMiner? I haven't seen any issues in my rigs that I have running on the multiport (port 3333), and our external monitoring service shows 100% uptime for the stratum server today. I'm happy to look into it more though. Do you have logs from your miner by chance? One possibility is that you're still pointed to the old proxy server because your miner hasn't re-resolved pool.ipominer.com via DNS to the new address yet -- can you try restarting your miner?

@kefir135 Definitely. We're going to add a page with information for coins, including the available exchanges. The announcement threads are usually a good place to find that info in the interim though, if you're stuck. Or pop by our IRC channel anytime - Freenode IRC, ##ipominer.

Thanks for the reply.

I have just restarted my miner, will see if that fixes it.

I did check my logs from during the night and it has been up and down maybe 15 times, and failed over to my backup pool.

Wouldn't have thought it was my internet connection, it is pretty solid but you never know.

Cheers

Do you mine X11 with cgminer?
]

You need a special version of SGMiner, if you google darkcoin sgminer you will find it.

We're now live with mining PawnCoin. I'll be here for the BlitzCoin launch and if it goes well + difficulty isn't outlandish, we'll mine it.
When is Blitzcoin due to launch?

I mined for about 6hrs today on your pool.

My account shows zero balance, is it likely some sort of balance may show up? or has the ddos made my afternoons mining redundant?

Thanks

Hi,

This may be a silly question but i cannot find the answer in the FAQ,

Is my username the name of my workers? or is the password the name of my workers?

Is this the correct format stratum+tcp://stratum.scryptguild.com:3333 -u registered username-p registered username_worker name

Thanks.

Many guys are already selling millions of ZEIT coins at the cryptorush.in exchange. Where the hell have they got such amounts from? This coin has no future. Real dump and pump.

This a legitimate question...Just how has so much coin been able to reach the exchange so quick.

A few basic sums in my head says something just doesn't add up.

Looks like hashstrikes webpage cant handle the launch.

miners seem to be mining, but pool webpage completely unresponsive or giving an error about to fast requests.

Can someone just clarify for me something.

Can I actually encrypt my wallet? or does it completely rule me out of any interest payments in the future?

Or does it just mean that i have to unlock my wallet for the interest calculations to start rolling?

The FAQ is a little vague..

Cheers

Awsome stuff Terk,

I'm from the land down under and an asian server (to reduce latency)would be fantastic.

Any idea when one may pop up?

Just to let you know, Im seeing between 7-10% rejects in the south part of Aus.

Cheers
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question regarding var diff and mixed speed miners. on: February 19, 2014, 12:02:07 AM
I have read that mixing slow and fast miners on a vardiff pool is a bad thing?

I have one rig mining Max for the past day or so, thinking of swapping my other rig over for a day or so also.

It has 2-280x and one old 5770 (pulls about 200kh on scrypt)

Now if I was to swap to a vardiff pool would the slow miner break the retargeting for my worker?

If so, is there a way in cgwatcher to tell just that card to submit shares to another worker?

Any info would be great. Thanks

You can register two different workers in your pool account.
Point your fast cards to one worker, and point your slow cards to the other one.

Thankyou, but how do I do this from within cgwatcher?

All cards in the one rig use the one worker? Im unsure on how to make the one card use another worker name?

Cheers

hm...I have no idea about it as I haven't used cgwatcher...

Thankyou for the reply, do you know how to do it from within cgminer? Or would it simply be better to pull the card from the rig all together?

Cheers
