1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Request: If you have some free CPU power then try mining Gapcoin on: June 07, 2020, 01:20:22 AM
If the developer passed away then is this crypto still being developed?
2  Other / Off-topic / Re: Website Warning on: June 07, 2020, 01:17:05 AM
I think, and hope that most people will treat unknown sites as potential scams. At least people who deal with cryptos all the time. The most interesting thing was the fact that you were trying to get passive income for you 11 year old daughter.

There's a big difference between being a slave and a plantation worker. There's a difference between being a slave to your job and being property.

so its better to be forced to worry about your own income, instead of having and employer working for your sustainment

Yes. When you're forced to worry about your income then you have a choice on changing things and improving for the best. I realize you post is a troll post.

what value is the choice if you have to compete with thausands of other proletarians for the capitalist banksters money, like a third world person in india, africa or latin america.

Then I suggest that instead of working one of those job, volunteer yourself to become a slave, without the ability of choosing to get out. Have someone wealthy become your slave master, and you must do everything they said. And when you don't obey, if they wanted to they can give you a beating.

I mean it's cool that she cares, assuming it's not just something for attention. But I just can't take the strong opinions of most teenagers too seriously since in general they are lacking so much

Your anger, calling him the orange swine makes it incapable for you to see whether he truly doesn't care for the world or not.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why drop in price when listed on exchange market? on: June 27, 2019, 09:11:39 PM
I've only really followed one ICO and the same happen. My assumption is that the people who got a first day bonus of sort were able to make a profit.
The cycle will always repeat to the next ico because majority of early buyers, investors, speculators are expecting to get early profit and they can go out as fast as possible with the help from the liquidity that will get by the coin when it can give them more than 3x from the ico prices.
Investors are looking for something that can give them easy profit.

The bad part is that it's probably just a few on the investors. Like 5% who do that and affect the price.

What I always wondered if there's a way for the US in particular go back to 1990s prices. What would have to happen for that to happen? It was just more convenient buying certain small items.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone shorting BCash? on: August 01, 2018, 05:40:09 AM
I'm still somewhat of a noob in all of this, so it goes a little over my head. What makes something be valuable in the future or not. But isn't it a good idea to have some Bitcoin cash, as well as Lite Coin and Eth. These coins are on Coinbase, and if we ever have another massive media blitz, these are the coins that the mainstream will put their cash in.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties are STUPID on: July 30, 2018, 10:19:58 PM
You're kind of right. I can't think of a time where a campaign really made me look farther and invest on a coin. Perhaps they were effective many years ago when there were less people into crypto and less ICOs. But if I was running an ICO I probably wouldn't do any bounties simply because of the quality of the post that many people give just to fill in a quora.

I would rather do an airdrop.
13  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Any knowledgable thoughts on how to create a healthy environment for ICOs? on: July 26, 2018, 10:00:02 PM
There really is no way to be 100% certain, so I suggest to not focus on ICOs, and focus on establish coins. I don't think you will be missing much, since the ICO market seems to be saturated and people dump as soon as the coin launches. Wait for when the coin is at least on the exchanges.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: What are your plans for the next 5 years in Finance? on: July 20, 2018, 01:51:14 AM
My plans, or rather hope is for basically to land a coin that will change my life for the better. I'm sure that's what everyone here wants. Hopefully I can achieve that, but I feel I need to get lucky.

After doing this, you might want to also back up your wallet, which is very easy.

1. Click File, click Backup Wallet.
2. Save the .dat file with a filename such as privcybackup7.18.18.

I'd also store this on your encrypted USB or hard drive. You really should backup on a regular basis.

thank you for pointing back the wallet. I asked some people in the group, but no one knew. My computer has crashed; D
I still do not know what privcyprivatekey does, so it does not look like MEW wallet?

If you say have a computer crash, or whatever, the private key lets you import you wallet/address to a new installation of privcy. Basically it give you access to whatever wallet it's for. That's why it's important that you don't share your private key with anyone. Maybe a loved one.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: hackers becoming smarter than exchanges? on: July 12, 2018, 10:26:29 PM
That's not a good statement. Exchanges are not godlike, able to be aware of every possible exploit there could possibly. No computer company it, whether is Apple, who recently had a USB lock immediately exploited in days, and anything computer related.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Security issues relating to Private Keys storage on: July 05, 2018, 11:14:32 PM
I think it's ok to upload them to sites like Dropbox and your email, so long as you encrypt them. Even if someone else gets access to them, they won't be able to use them.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: How will crypto go long term? on: July 05, 2018, 10:21:15 PM
I am fairly new to the crypto world. During my short time, I have contemplated how crypto will go down over the next few years.

Slowly, over time more regulations will be adopted worldwide. This is not because regulators are scared that people are getting scammed, but because they will start limiting this world from us small fish so the banks and "qualified" investors can tke over. All the large banks will then push their own crypto, and we will be left with nothing.

In my opinion, it is in our best interest to gain enough profit so we will have the funds to become qualified investors, and be able to re-enter the markets through the banks exchanges.

What does everyone else think? Do you think the big fish will continue allowing us to do trading long term, or are our days numbered?

How can banks force us to use their own coins and exchanges, over the ones we have now? Why would people support the banks and their exchanges over current coins like Bitcoin and the exchanges where they are being traded all over the world.

I don't think the government can force us by force.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How risky to invest in cryptocurrency? on: July 05, 2018, 08:04:22 PM
What I've learned is that the bigger risk is not taking the risk. I know the markets are down, but imagine not taking the risk say 4 years ago.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are. You leaving crypto? on: July 05, 2018, 06:48:46 PM
I am seriously considering it.
There is no future in a small market cap that is pumped and dumped!

In addition, trading bots are running the show: milking everyone!

I realized you probably lost a lot of cash, just like me. But don't just completely leave it. Just keep a small amount in it, and leave it on coins like Bitcoin and Eth. Those probably have a future.
