THis is a joke , after 7 hours the pools are not working. Dev and friends are solo mining with big rigs till they are rich enoufh, then they will open pools , after that they will dump the coins. Sadly..
Just STFU will you, I mean I can ignore you but really just shut your face you ignorant fuck. I hope you have downs or something because that is the only reason to act this way and I apologize then for picking on the retarded Hooray. We have one ignorant person getting another ignorant person to use bad language that also has the benefit of being insensitive to handicapped people. Welcome to the Internet. To the original idiot, here's a thought: if 1000+ people all show up at launch to try and mine a heavily promoted new coin, perhaps -- just PERHAPS -- you and your single CPU aren't likely to find any coins in the first few hours. It's not all the dev and his friends, it's EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO that is contributing hash rate to HVC and making it hard for you to find coins. Deal with it. Some quick and dirty math suggests that in order for us to be at difficulty 20, the total network hash rate right now is approximately 716 MHash/sec. Considering an i7-4770K will do around 80 KHash, that means we have the equivalent of TEN THOUSAND i7-4770K CPUs mining HVC right now. So if you want to solve a block, your chances with a single CPU or even multiple CPUs is pretty damn small. Even with 800 KHash available, I have not yet solved a block, and unless I get lucky I will be without any HVC until the pools get functional and I can start getting smaller payouts. All the whining right now really amounts to this: "I thought I had a great idea to mine this coin at 0-hour and I was going to be the only one there and I'd walk away with thousands of HVC and be rich enough to move out of my parents' basement!" Apparently you weren't the only one with that idea. Shocking. Bullshit , smartcoin had 4ghash at start , and only 1 dev organised a perfect startup with no failures. Pools worked 3 minutes after launch time. You are full of shit. This is instamine scam coin. If that's how you feel, then why are you here? And I am 1mh of that! go go xeons ftw, no block yet though.

someone is using cpuminer-heavycoin to mine?
I'm trying to use it, but it returns HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error: 401
The ip is right and rpcport is 7202
and with -P option? it works with the patches I provided a little time ago. Remove http, just the ip. don't forget the port. like this: ./minerd -a heavy -v 512 -o 10.33.1.1:7202

I assume the password for the wallet will be handed out in this thread. If somewhere else please let us all know.

...So ... with increasing network hashrate, the difficulty goes up, and the payout goes up as well? Sounds like these two variables will cancel each other out. Why not just have a constant difficulty with no variables?
You are missing the point, the more hashing power thrown at this coin, the more total coins will be available. Also it puts everyone on equal ground. If i have 1mh i get x, the guy with 5 mh will get 5x, x never changes. If someone comes in with 40mh they get 40x and I still get 1x. Rather then a percentage of a set block. So it isnt like your typical coin where the first to mine will generally get more coin at a low diff.

Why vote for Poloniex? My BTC is taken by them. 3.5 BTCs gone. FU****!!! A SH** Platform!!!!!!!!!
Even a small Nxt-e.com can beat them. NO POLONIEX.
Hey, I like Poloniex, the guy running it is a class act. Even with the theft he is making people whole. Very open about what happened, how it was handled was very classy imo. (Yes I had btc held too)

215kh on a 270x is good. They are around 400kh scrypt right?

Umm does the diff retarget seem a bit long to anyone else? 24 hours worth of blocks is a bit insane if you ask me. Right now the diff is under 1 and the hash at 170k for the network. Isn't that going to leave the dedicated miners in a lurch for a couple days if alot swap off after retarget? I would think 60 blocks would be way more realistic.

I was getting very worried after some new years day deposit glitches with NMC and PPC. After emailing support and finally staying up late using their QQim I was able to get my issue submitted and now I have my coins! Thought I was out about 2/3 of a btc. Total time was 1 week from start of the issue to resolve but less then 48 hours after I communicated with the tech on IM. So they arn't scamming anyone but not as responsive to issues as other exchanges. The tech that handles it is: QQ: 2795309276 (After 6pm PST) Tip: Dont try to send chinese, I actually didnt get any replys untill I sent just english. Use short direct sentices and simple words. Expect replys to take up to 30 min. If no reply resend last message. Also you will need a screenshot of your transfer. Mine was from btc-e so i just sent my history and highlighted the 2 transactions. Tip2: Dont have anyone try to help you fix it, they could very easily claim the funds. If this helps anyone else feel free to pitch me some coin ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

First off, thanks for the great promotion. But I fear it has created an issue. The difficulty seems to have moved up to 25 from 16 and the hashing power droped to about 1/3 so currently the block time is sky high(45min to several hours). I was actually earning way less coins/day making up a much larger percent of the hashing. And it looks like another 900 blocks to go like this. Just my opinion here: Either need: force difficulty down (idk if it can), Change coin for quicker retarget (also idk if possible), or get another 100mh of miners.

No, the name will work, don't think this post will, but gotta try right?

I have a good altcoin name idea that I am willing to sell. PM me to discuss and make offer. No, I will not tell it to anyone b4 I am paid.
And no I really don't think this will work, but gotta try, some of these coin names are kinda lame.

On the hashing programs there should be spots that show accepted shares, rejected shares and Hardware errors. Are you getting alot of rejects or hardware errors. On some pools they will suspend your miners if they have lots of either. For what its worth I have always had good luck with slush's pool for bitcoin.

Home mining isnt dead, its just what you are willing to accept. Home bitcoin mining paid about what home litecoin mining does now on a $/day/coin basis. Its just now 2 years later you see that those few dollars in coins are now worth way more.

Yes you can mix cards. But the configs get tricky. You basicaly need to specify the settings for each gpu in the command line. There are references. But to simplify things seperate different cards to different rigs.

|
|
Also, for mining, there is no disadvantage for doing so.

Just saying, I have both a redfury usb and a block eruptor blade and I am looking to sell them. To free up room and funds for another videocard rig.

For a newbie, if you want to be more hands off. Look at multipool its a mining pool site that is setup to mine the most profitable of the coins it can. Then you set resonable auto withdrawls to cryptsy and have auto sells on the addresses. You should be able to get around $100/day in btc while mining established new coins. Pre exchange coins are a gamble sometimes they dont get listed.
