1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO for June 2018 on: June 05, 2018, 07:34:43 AM
Name an ICO to buy for June 2018 that can be a gem later?
The Best ICOs to buy:
Ubex
Description: Artificial Intelligence in Advertising
At the heart of Ubex’s advertising purchasing algorithms, lie neural networks that process information about each visitor to the member networks’ websites. The neural networks evaluate the interests of users, calculate the likelihood of targeted actions for all advertiser offers, and choose the most suitable advertisement. Thanks to this, member network website visitors see only those ads that are maximally confned to their interests, and which would convince them to fulfll the target action with maximum probability. Ubex aims to solve the problem of low confdence in the purchase of digital advertising. Smart contracts allow for making the relationship of advertisers and publishers (owners of ad slots on sites) as transparent and fair as possible, as well as minimizing the risks for all parties.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So many new ICO, how to check if it's scam? on: June 05, 2018, 06:53:07 AM
So many new ICO, and they all have new idea and tech listed on their webpages,

and even the websites use the same template...

but so many new ICO, how to check if it's scam, or worth to invest...
Yes there so many ICOs out if you want to check if the ICO is a scam or not you should first at looking at the developers. It's good to the focus especially on the team behind them.Make sure  to check out if maybe the people behind a project that you want to invest in aren't the same as the ones behind other previous Scam ICOs.
Most of new ICO projects are first announced at the bitcointalk forum. Most of them are just spam. They post only to post. If there is no real people behind a project, no whitepaper or businessplan and if they have over solded their roadmap that could be a clear indication that it is a scam. Some literally just beg for money from strangers, while others hide behind allegedly real project, raise the funds then disappear or say that they have to end the project for whatever reason.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I buy TRON or ETH? on: June 04, 2018, 12:40:56 PM
If i'm looking to make my first crypto purchase, which one would you suggest buying and why? I love ETH because it's established but still not as expensive as BTC, but I also am hearing about TRX (TRON) nonstop...

If lets say I have $500 to start with, what should I buy and why?

Before the Tron's MainNet everyone was so excited about the MainNet since then Tron has been on the RED ever then I still believe it is a must have in your protfolio. At the present moment, Tron (TRX) is trading at $0.057, a 5.51% decrease. So, Tron is still on its losing trajectory in a market that either is not moving upwards as of now. Either way, experts are predicting an upsurge of value shortly after the Main Net settles down. It is just a matter of time before we see this happen.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Different types of Consensus Algorithms on: June 01, 2018, 09:57:51 AM
Hi. Please can you tell me more about this Bitcoin Origin project? It sounds really interesting with the combination of Proof of Authority and Proof of Stake together, making Proof of Ambassador. This is a hardfork off of Bitcoin, if I'm not mistaken, no?

Hey there, Yes Bitcoin Origin is a hard fork
From what I read from their whitepaper and some article, Bitcoin Origin is a penta Cryptocurrency fork of the top 5 Cryptocurrencies- Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin and Dash. They will create a consensus protocol Proof of Amabassdor is hybrid consensus approach to Proof of Authority and Proof of stake. Bitcoin Origin will improve the overall utiltiy, functionality, scalability and lack of privacy inherent in the PoW Cryptocurrencies, and deliver Serverless Blockchain as a service projects to the corporate sector.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: June 01, 2018, 07:45:57 AM
Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

Bitcoin has came a long way from being a virtual currency and now to be seem as a form of an investment from my own opinion Bitcoin has failed as currency and I don't see it as a future currency. I don't think Bitcoin will change in the long term but if it could that would be great! Grin

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Verge(XVG) Is still a smart descision on: May 31, 2018, 12:47:09 PM
Yes I aware of the fact that Verge has been hacked twice in a period of two months but hear me out. I will state reasons why I think Verge is still a good choice to invest in.

Limited supply

Verge, its supply is capped, and the limit is 16.5 billion. Not only that, but the large majority of the coins have already been mined. Because of this, the price of XVG has a large potential to jump up, since the demand will increase in time.
The price is still cheap and the coin is stable
It would be much smarter to invest in it right now, before the market recovers, and Verge reaches the value it had in December 2017. According to the CoinMarketCap, its current price is $0.039104 per coin, which allows for the purchase of a large number of coins at a very low price.
Privacy and security
The one thing that gives Verge an advantage over many, many other cryptos is its approach to security and privacy of its users. Many coins offer anonymous transactions, which was great at first. The problems appeared when anonymity was misused for criminal activities, which has forced a lot of exchanges, and even entire countries, to stop dealing in such coins. Those who wish to send payments anonymously can use highly secure protocols like I2P, Tor, as well as its newest edition, the Wraith protocol.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin or litecoin ? on: May 30, 2018, 02:16:05 PM
Litcoin for three reasons
speed- it generates blocks about four times faster than bitcoin,
number of coins- bitcoin has a limit of 21 million coins, litecoin will max out at the 84 million mark
market cap- Although its market cap pales in comparison to bitcoin, litecoin still ranks among the top 5 cryptocurrencies at the time of publication
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 3 altcoins to invest in NOW on: May 30, 2018, 01:39:17 PM
If you ready to invest now which coin are you yo choose to invest?

Which top 3 altcoins you choose to invest now?

I would choose to invest into NEO,ICON and Dragonchain
NEO
Neo is currently pretty expensive and you may have missed the boat on this one, Neo has the potential to reach Ethereum's marketcap, and if you had the chance to pick Ethereum up at $150, you would have backed up the truck right? Neo could end up being the same situation.

ICON
Similar to Neo, or IBM's Hyperledger, Icon is designed to be a large scale ecosystem. Their vision is to allow many different private and public blockchains to work together, such as universities, banks, hospitals, schools. The idea is that they can all share information together via Icon and other partners like Wanchain.

Dargonchain
It’s a hybrid system that lets a business (enterprise or startup) have its own chain and achieve enterprise consensus in stages all the way to one or more public blockchains (eg BTC or ETH).
Developers may code smart contracts in Java.
Platforms projects always do extremely well in the long run, look at STRATIS, LISK, NEO, NEM, XLM, etc.
The architecture allows a project to control exposure of sensitive business data and smart contract logic.
It doesn’t require the use of a currency (full trust at first layer).
It can support multiple currencies on one chain.
A project can start without full knowledge of its economy and monetize activity or assets late in the process.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does bitcoin need to improve? on: May 30, 2018, 01:25:32 PM
I can clearly see that there are other cryptocurrencies that are beginning to dethrone bitcoin, showing off there quick and secured transactions, though bitcoin continues to be the king. What does bitcoin need to improve state your opinions.

Bitcoin needs to stop being a cool boys' club and start improving things like:
Their Blockchain Technology because it's outdated
The scalability issues
Implement future contracts
Lower the fees
Introduce or change to an alternative consensus protocol

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Different types of Consensus Algorithms on: May 29, 2018, 09:38:48 AM
Hey Crypto Miners
There are so many different types of Consensus algorthims such as:

Proof of Work
Proof-of-Work (PoW) was the first successful decentralized blockchain consensus algorithm. PoW is still used by Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, like Ethereum (Ethereum plans to move to Proof-of-Stake, more details in next section), Litecoin, ZCash, Monero, and many more.

Proof of Stake
Proof of Stake requires participants to “stake” a portion of the coins that they hold in the network to verify transactions. Rather than “mining” by completing computationally difficult problems to verify transactions, “minters” stake their coins on transactions by locking up coins. Coins using PoS are Dash, NEO,

Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS)
Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) is similar in name to Proof-of-Stake, the implementation details are meaningfully different. In DPoS, instead of staking coins to validate transactions, token holders vote for a select group to serve the role of validating transactions. Cryptocurrecnies such Lisk and Oxycoin implemented this system.

Proof of Burn(PoB)

You are providing proof that you have burned some of your coins in the process of sending transactions to an address that unspendable. This method only works with coins mined from Proof of work Cryptocurrencies. Useres will try to burn the most amount of coins to hopefully "win" the block reward. Cryptocurrency such as Counterparty (XCP) use
PoB

Proof of Ambassador(PoA)
The Proof of Ambassador protocol, introduced by the Bitcoin Origin project, builds on Proof of Authority by combining it with Proof of Stake elements. It works by assigning a reputation score to validators who are publicly identifiable, known as Ambassadors.
Ambassadors are chosen each month by users who stake their coins to cast votes. The consensus is based on pre-approved authoritative Ambassadors with a Proof of Authority approach.
Reputation is assigned to Ambassadors based on several criteria including continual predetermined set of activities like promotion and campaigning of the Bitcoin Origin project.

Guys please let me know which one is your favourite, In case if I left out some consensus algorithms add on to the list.
Thank you in advance.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to invest, please help? on: May 29, 2018, 07:38:27 AM
I research on crypto last two month. I want to investment.

Please suggest me better crypto.

Thanks in Advance.

Before you invest into Crypto you should know that Cryptocurrency is considered high risk because it is a very volatile and highly speculative investment (again, right now) that is based on supply and demand and while high risk investments also generate high returns, it's important to only invest what you can afford to lose. Should your long term retirement savings be in Cryptocurrency? I would not recommend it. Secondly all keep in mind that not all Cryptocurrencies are the same so when buying a Cryptocurrency it is very important to do your reasearch on the Cryptocurrency

Now to answer your question I would suggest
Ethereum
Litecoin
Moenero
Tron
EOS

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can blockchain change financial industry? on: May 23, 2018, 09:43:13 AM
Our global financial system moves trillions of dollars a day and serves billions of people. But the system is rife with problems, adding cost through fees and delays, creating friction through redundant and onerous paperwork, and opening up opportunities for fraud and crime. Blockchain can improve the issues I raised above. Those that believe that Blockchain technology could end the banking system as we know it; I personally don't think so.
True question here is; Who in the finance industry will lead this revolution?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can world Government Kill Crypto? on: May 23, 2018, 09:26:09 AM
The government can not kill Crypto, Crypto is completely decentrilzed who can they pin point if they want to kill Crypto;
Yes may increase the strict regulation in their countries like China, they banned cryptocurrencies but country remains the most bullish nations that is invested in the Crypto market.
My thinking is that government should accept that Crypto is here to stay and they could take note from countries like Russia and Iran.
Iran and Russia are first countries to consider using Cryptocurrencies to exchange goods to avoid International sanctions.

Also, look at Japan. They are the poster child for the accpetance of Bitcoin.

Blockchain technology has great potential, it is the stepping stone into the future and I am glady to say that we are part of this Smiley
What a great time to be alive Grin!
Blockchain tech is being used by individuals, corporates, banks and governement to solve daliy issues.
One thing that has drawn me to cryptocurrencies was the technology behind it
My opinion is that Blockchain is the real innovation, It seems that more people are taking note of this

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the most interesting altcoin? on: May 21, 2018, 10:06:16 AM
I would say that the most interesting Altcoins at moment are:
1. Waves
2. SiaCoin
3. Monero
4. Lisk
5. Tronix

Sometimes it's better to look out for coins that are still valued at less than a $1 because that gives them a large room for growth if you get in early enough and do your own due diligence on each coin before investing.
This is just my own two cent
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethreum the new king of crypto? on: May 21, 2018, 09:36:16 AM
Ethereum could be new king of Crypto. Bitcoin may seem to be king now but I  have reasons to believe that Ethereum is going to overtake Bitcoin soon.
Here is one of my reasons: Ethereum's blockchain technology it's mindblowing and it keeps on improving, Bitcoin on the other hand it's outdate. I will admit that Bitcoin was the real innovation back then but now the true innovation is blockchain technology and currently that race is led by Ethereum because their technology is far more advanced from other Altcoins including Bitcoin. Ethereum was rate 1st by the chinese IT ministry and Bitcoin was rated 13th of out 28th Cryptocurrencies Undecided. https://cointelegraph.com/news/chinese-it-ministry-cryptocurrency-ratings-released-ethereum-1st-bitcoin-13th-of-28

This proves that Ethereum is the prince eyeing it's throne
