Hi Patrik,

I'm passing parameters to phoenixminer:

Could the underlined data (for parameters: -pool2, -wal2) be input via Windows system variables?
Like %pool%, %wal%... or so.
If yes, would the definition have to be done on the client OS (rig), or server OS (Awesome Miner)..?

If not, is there any other way to put variables into the miner command line?

Thanks a lot for any input  Smiley

Cheers, Tom

Noticing a jump in price today whats happening? new exchange?
Nope. Just new people realizing its potential
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethermine new change on payouts, vs other mining pools? Or using L2 Polygon? on: September 04, 2021, 09:02:42 PM
https://pool.binance.com/en
Small mining ETH there since Dec 20 with 800 MH/s
Has been crappy somewhat in the beginning (high pings etc), but since about March I really didn't encounter anything wrong
Timely payouts every day, no commissions even after London upgrade.

Recent phoenixminer failing to download for me.
Had to manually point to previous version in the appdata\roaming\awesomeminerservice dir.
Perhaps it has to do with phoenix moving their repo from mega to onedrive?

One of my windows rigs w/4GB 580 cards went zero hash today. Latest PhoenixMiner.
Switched to TeamRedMiner, works fine.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A new only CPU mineable coin - Hacash (HAC) on: September 26, 2020, 06:56:42 PM
Looks interesting, seems to be honest.
I started to mine the coin yesterday with lazy cpus of my gpu miners.

Algorithm is NOT ASIC RESISTANT. OW1 ASIC can be reprogrammed to target this algorithm, GPU and FPGA miner is very feasible
Regarding mining, this is the weakest point in it.

If the coin grows, it will become attractive for GPUs/FPGAs at some point.
But - as I read about the 51% attack resistance feature in the papers - doesn't it mean the excess hashpower would be distributed among weaker (CPU) miners...?
Don't know if I get it right.

Mining algo did not change since the inception of HAC (2018)... are the devs who took over planning some hard forks to persist ASIC(GPU, FPGA) resistance, like XMR did many times?
Perhaps some kind of RandomX would be quite better, it has a good track record in keeping CPU miners safe.

Overall, I'm pretty curious where this thing will be in a year or two :-)

-rvram -1
yeah works now... but for how long...?

i know linux rigs will mine longer... but how long?

i'm absolutely satisfied using windows (very fine tuned), much less power consumption and better hashrate than any linux distro i tried before...

- either throw them 4g cards away (even if they quite much deserve it, won't do that, heh)
- or find a new coin (hell what could prolly 4g rx560s mine for profit....? xmr days are away)
- or refurb them (proper cleaning, new thermal pads / paste, replace any fan that doesn't spin like new) ... and sell them in budget refurb PCs  Smiley

guess the 3rd option is the best way  Wink

The only problem is liquidity.....
I should've said better:
  • + Volume
  • + Number of participants
  • + Publicity
  • + More exchanges

@devs == stick to the plan and deliver!

If you do, it will pay off big time!

The only problem is liquidity. Look at the history:

There are HOURS between the trades, while with liquid assets, there are split-seconds between them. Why? We've got a one-week-old coin here, efforts to grab 7.5K Zyrk for a masternode (which gives some reward actually, compared to miners, who lose their shirts big time nowadays). Then we've got masternode owners who sell their Zyrk ASAP for (momentally shiny) BTC. This all creates selling presure. I personally think this coin will grow in value as soon as the BTC rally pauses. However, the devs must prove continuous efforts as per roadmap. Indeed Grin

You can't compare an illiquid coin like this to the rest of crypto.

Time will tell. The project has potential, now it's up on the devs to prove their plan. Either this will flatline somewhere at the bottom, or it will grow slowly but steadily with achievements from the team. I bet on the 2nd  Wink

I'm not selling my MN rewards in turn Wink
I'm hodling them.

According to altilly's dashboard, the dollar price and market cap fell 50times since today morning:

But I absolutely don't care about these numbers. Because in a market such illiquid, there can be NONE that make sense. But I trust in the stuff behind the coin, and hope the team does its proposed job.

Didn't see anything that caught my attention for a few months.
You did  Smiley
I'll start a masternode in a day or two.

Zyrk, I will contact you via PM on discord soon to clear some issues.

Wishing the very best to ZYRK and hoping the platform will be a success!!

Mirror on GitHub (CUDA 9.1/9.2/10.0 version)

will you support cuda 10?
Seems the dev is already supporting it.... just didn't update this thread.
Currently trying the 0.9.3 out.

Hi Patrik,

Electroneum (ETN) forked to Cryptonight v7 on May 30th.
Version 5.1 had ETN listed as both CN and CNv7, the latter allowing to set pools and miners correctly and everything went smooth.
Yesterday I upgraded to v5.1.1, the CNv7 option disappeared again, coin in pool settings defaulted to Bitcoin etc... ETN is assigned to CN only again, but it should be CNv7 only.. could you please correct it?

Besides this, thanks for your awesome care and support you're bringing here  Smiley

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 2.9e: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Windows) on: June 01, 2018, 10:19:15 PM
Reading all the posts regarding dual mining (dead atm IMO).... I wonder if it was possible to mine ethash (memory is everything, core almost doesn't matter) alongside x16r (core is everything, memory almost doesn't matter).... any thoughts?

Imagine that.. both algos largely asic-resistant..... a gpu miner's dream come true... if any1 comes up with it, yeah it would really push the gpus to the limit, BUT it would be a killer thing even if both algos ran at 80% of there solo performance/efficiency.
