I like the idea. Something good can be done if your team managed this platform properly. Since this concept is new, there will be many challenges. I hope you can overcome all the challenges and make this site live.
Because of this concept it will be easier to bet between friends. I liked the platform so I will try to join the testnet program.

Likely through the selection of randomized referees that get rewards for acting as such (that part is actually the most complicated in terms of doing-it-right). You mean moderators (at randomized "referees") . Still close in meaning though, assuming you are referring to mods. I guess you mean randomizing the referees is difficult to do or you are not sure how to go about selecting quality referees through the randomized process? Actually it is both: a) difficult on-chain to get reliable randomness b) it is probably even more difficult to find quality referees. Especially the referee part of the dapp needs very careful planning from our side but b) should be solvable with a good-enough incentive in terms of rewards vs. reputation. btw: I favor the term "referee" because it makes clear that this person is supposed to be independent from the devs/admins of the contract. Wish we could discuss this somewhere else so I don't derail from the main subject of your post. Will be willing to share ideas with you on a safe channel. I just want this to be right so people/bettors don't get themselves into problems in the betting/predictions markets. The site has a really unique concept of social Gambling
And to be honest i really like it.
But it would have been better if you could have mentioned more about the details of the game in the OP itself.
Moreover as the site will not accept Bitcoin, or currently not accepting Bitcoins, then it should be Moved to Altcoins section.
Nevertheless a cool project, which every one will love to be the part of it.

Upon visiting the link, I tried clicking bet on Ethereum and I was ask to connect my metamask to it. May I know if it is safe to connect our metamask wallet in your platform even if it is still in the testing phase?
I am hesitant in connecting my wallet as I have stored most of my currencies there and I cannot afford to lost a single in my portfolio.

I just dive opun this project today and I was happy to give it a try since it is at it testing mode and does not require real deposits to go through the various games and betting on the site. But one thing I could not get now is the deposit process and it timing, I will be following up with the development to see how things unfold in the future.
Hi, you need a web3 wallet extension for your browser (usually Metamask). Then in the wallet, switch to "Ropsten Testnet". As soon as you did that, the page will reload and give you the options to create bets. In the wallet-less version these buttons are hidden. You can get test ETH from the link in the site's HowTo section (the faucet links). Upon creating a bet, you basically decide the duration of the event. Betting will be possible from the point the event has been submitted until the event actually starts. Once the event is expired, the voting phase begins (or the booth owner concludes the bet if he bought the right to conclude instead of voting, see "my account" => "manage booth"). |

The point is that everything is supported. The dapp offers a loose list of categories which can be decided by the community. We ourselves are not going to offer bets (maybe offering an odds market that people can use for their bets if that's demanded). I am indeed trying to find out how such rewards could work. The problem is that it is all running on testnets and I am not sure yet how to track activity from there to feed a mainnet contract with that information safely. If you have an idea, feel free to suggest it. Nothing hammered in stone. Before i connect my wallet to your dapp, any info you can give on what sports are supported.
And will there be any reward for early testers once it goes to mainnet?

I am not sure what links shouldn't be available? Could you please be more specific? If you don't have a wallet installed, it will use the infura network to read blockchain data, the site and its links are accessible to me. Regarding the gas fees: That's why it is multi-chain. Atm the gas prices for ethereum are acceptable (somewhat), but if they go haywire once more, users have the option to use the Tron or Binance Smartchain instead (the latter works well with MetaMask as it is 100% compatible to Ethereum). Once eth 2.0 is out, the gas problem will be hopefully solved if it works as promised. You need to do a lot of things before people can try your website because after I am visiting your site, it seems many links are not available.
I realize that because, on the first page, you write about the site still developed and needs time to work properly.
I hope that you and your team can work hard and make sure that your site can reach every goal you have, and you can attract more users in the future because I feel that your site is different than the other websites.
If ethereum gas still high like now, I think people will use alternative coins to place a bet because not all people will have many ethereum, and they will prefer to use a low coin price.

Yeah, something like this would work. It really depends how frequently the dapp is being used. I could imagine it like this: - Everyone having rep > 0 can vote to get it banned or shadow banned. - If a certain threshold is reached (time vs amount of voters for example), an independent referee is selected randomly who does the final decision and gets rewarded for it. - If the selected referee doesn't react within a certain time-frame, another one will be chosen. - In order to become a referee, you need to stake X amount of EVREP tokens but you'll earn actual eth/trx/bnb rewards (to prevent clash of interest). You always need to keep in mind that this won't run automatically on the blockchain (it's not threaded). The above would for example getting triggered only as soon as somebody interacts with the contracts (voting, adding bets, creating booths, withdraw gains, mining rep, etc). They were banned because they contained pornographic content and strong language. The banning process is supposed to be community governed in the final version. Due to the nature of the ethereum blockchain, you cannot really properly delete list items. There are tricks like swapping out the last from a list with the one you want to remove, but that would put the oldest bet at the spot of the banned one. I am also thinking to do a shadow ban instead of a real one, which would mean its view would be collapsed and upon opening it you'll receive a warning (similar to NSFW content warnings). Is that necessary to bold most text and have it in a larger size? I have tested the ropsten Ethereum testnet. What does it mean that there are two events banned? I know it's still on the testing phase but if it's banned, it shouldn't be listed.

How about giving a timeframe for those that's being voted to be banned by the community? like to be removed if it's banned and gone through the process correctly. Within the crypto ecosystem I can see it being sustainable, especially with the blockchain based referral system that I am working on that is supposed to keep bringing new people in. People who don't want to create bets can just join existing ones as there are several incentives to create bets (booths, referrals, jackpots, Evrep tokens, etc.). Since this is an open platform, I can only tell you a few use-cases. Which one of these would be the most common ones, I cannot tell you at this point. Typical use-cases: - Group of online-buddies want to bet on the outcome of a UFC event. Somebody of the group sets up the bet and posts the link to it in his online group. The buddies bet on that, vote on the outcome and have a recorded outcome of the bet on the blockchain (think of it like an escrow, multi-sig wallet, etc.). - Somebody buys a booth and the right to self-conclude bets. He then places bets that he hopes to find players for and either earns by joining and winning his bet OR refer people to his bets and earns through the referrals. He would basically be the judge over the outcome of the bet. The definition you looked up is accurate but it comes with the usual blockchain tweaks.
The players create their own bets, doesn't matter what it is about (sports, politics, markets, etc) and the outcome is decided through consensus by default (ideal for people who know each other).
Additionally, you can purchase a booth and get the rights to self-conclude (for the pros) and basically host your own bets on a frequent basis. Bets that are self-concluding aren't concluded through consensus.
The gains are distributed evenly across the winners.
If you look at an actual bet, note the clipboard icon left to the title. You can use the copied link to point your people to your bet (e.g. pasting it into a tweet, forum, chat, ect.).
And yes, the Everbet contracts are the "middle man", while the contracts are fully decentralized. Means, once running, it will be unstoppable.
There will be a contract fee (my assumption will be like 0.5% from the gains) and a referral system (0.25% for the gains of every referred player).
For everything a player stakes, he will mint EVREP reputation tokens. These are erc20 tokens and their utility is to a) proof credibility b) taking part in governance.
We also want to encourage that people host the actual dapp (it will be downloadable) and adjust the design, layouts and everything how they see fit (basically white-label).
It is made in a way that allows simply copy and pasting the files to a webserver.
There is no special setup required (pure client-side code, zero setup).

do you think this kind of set-up is sustainable? because a lot of players are sometimes just lazy and do you expect that these players will create their own bets. usually players just want to play and place their bets and dont want their game to be complicated. gamblers just want to enjoy their game, you know. btw, do you have your closest competitor that you can name here, in terms of concept? a known casino already so we know how they are performing right now. |

I don't understand the meaning behind social betting. Can you please eloborate it. Surfing through Google found it to be the betting against players. The gambling site will serve as the host or the middle man. This is quite interesting, at any cost both the players can't win. On conducting each game it'll get certain percentage as profit. This is better than the house edge form of revenue making.

Hi, the design team is working on it based on the suggestions of previous tests (your color suggestions are included already). I am currently adding a referral system (earning 0.25% on the wins of each referred user, forever). Then applying the actual design/UX, some final contract audits and it should be good to go. I assume within the next couple of months. However, before the actual release we will open some EVREP liquidity at Uniswap to gain some traction. The EVREP token pool will have very limited token supply as the majority is going to be used as mintable utility within the dapp. The actual pool opening will be announced in our Telegram and here. I like the platform and how they are raising it, it would be good if they used more striking colors, such as red, black, yellow, white, by pure marketing law these colors attract a lot of attention. When do they release the full version?

Ok, I just enabled Infura for the ETH testnet (Infura might be slower than regular wallets). This means you won't need any wallet to click through the dapp. Please make sure you clear your browser cache before you reload the dapp because I needed to change the script slightly. Thank you for checking it out! (also note: as described above, the current UX is the developer design, the actual design is currently worked on by the design team).
