SoftCoin Rescheduled Launch Announcement Launch at September 1st 2014 After a (very) long deliberation as a result of the 'issues' with BitCoin we decided to postpone the start date of SoftCoin. The reason for this delay is the fact that we think we found a way to protect SoftCoins from thieves. Bottom line, we believe we found a way that when someone acquires SoftCoins in a illegitimate way he/she will not be able to spend and or trade them. Because we have big plans we decided that this protection is so important that we want to implement it in our first release. Given the amount of work and testing we have rescheduled the launch date to September the 1st 2014.

As far as I can tell a lot of people have mined Kudos. A lot of effort, hardware and energy were invested. The original developer and those that came afterward do not respond. It seems like Kudos is dead in the water. What a waste. I thought long and hard. Being a developer for quiet some years now I think I should be able to provide some basic maintenance, developer support, and learn along the way. Maybe I am to lightheartedly about it, maybe not. Bottom line is that I am willing to spend my spare time in order to get Kudos back on track. So I have a proposal. (Keep in mind that I am an employee and also have to spend time with my wife and children.) Give me two months to realize an update of the Kudos client. In return I want to ask all of you to start mining Kudos again. You can reply and say “I'm in!” but the only true reply is seeing the hash rate going up (and up and up and up). When I see the hash rate going up I will start working (read mostly learning). I will update you all at least once a week about the progress I am making. Even when there is nothing to report, I will say so. When do I start? Well, it has to be a joined effort. The day the hash rate hits (and of course stays) 20Mh/s or more is the day I will file my first report. That day plus two months is the day I have to deliver. IMHU it works both ways. When you all contribute to the hash rate you know in return someone is working and when I do not file my reports you can simply stop your hash rate contribution. When I see the hash rate go up I know there is a community that is willing to support me and when the hash rate will not go up or goes down again I know I either blew it or I was flogging a dead horse.
So, it's up to all of you now when I have to file my first report!

I'm in. I will support this coin.
Superb! Do you know a developer that can help out? Are you a developer by any chance?
|
|
|
Alright then, is there anyone willing to step in?
|
|
|
Is there an active dev behind this coin?
There was. As far as we know he left... Than came Mrbubl3s. We all became excited. Started to push the hashrate back up. And for now a deafening silence. Don't misunderstand me. I still believe Mrbubl3s has (had) good intentions. What's frustrating for me is that he doesn't speak up! I hope he will respond before May 12th. Otherwise... you know someone?

Mrbubl3s,
It's quiet a while now since your last response. So, how are things going? Not to well I guess: The site is down (at least not responding) for a few weeks now, no reactions, and the mining site struggles (does not payout). There were some others who asked whether they could step in. We hold them back because of your promises. No hard feelings, but if you are not able to realize the things you promised, please say so! Maybe someone else is willing to help out. (Let's be honest, otherwise it's been a waste of power consumption and computer use.) I propose you place a reaction before May 12th. If not we take it as an “Sorry, can't deliver” answer, OK?
Regards.

Whats going on with kudos?
No support? No exchange?
Please read the previous messages. We are patiently waiting for mrbubl3s and some other devs to finish a new version of the wallet, then we test, then we relaunch.

Super! But, I have been examining the vote list and came to the conclusion that voting for Kudos is not going to cut it. We need at least about 1 to 1.5 bitcoin. (Top of the list (today) donated over 1 bitcoin. A small calculation reveals it has about 113 actual votes.) Also, given the fact that mrbubl3s and his friend are working on a new wallet I want to suggest the following. To prevent disaster let us wait a little bit longer and first test/try the new wallet before we put Kudos on any exchange whatsoever. I have witnessed drama with other coins that went to an exchange and launching a new wallet at the same time. The exchange site had a lot of trouble with the wallet and so it was exiled. Let alone the bad name that came with it. Opinions? Suggestions? Other ideas? When the time is there you can put me up for 0.1 bitcoin (it's all I have from mining another coin).

Maybe a silly question... At 22:40 Paris time the pool http://kds.minar.cc/ states Pool Hashrate 3.60 MH/s (6) and Net Hashrate 2.86 MH/s (5). How can the pool hash rate be higher than the network hash rate? (btw http://kudoscrypto.org/ stated 3,344 kH/s) ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) In my perception the pool should be part of the network. What am I missing? The network hashrate is calculated via the difficulty. Pool hashrates are actual speeds. So it's updated as the difficulty changes, and I think they change in maximum intervals. I might be wrong.. Also, with the little mining I've done with minar.cc, I've had good results. My previous results with minar.cc where good also.

|
In that case I will jump aboard.
EDIT: Got the information from the website, so no nodes needed, right? Wasn't mining yet.
EDIT2: Now I am mining through your pool, not with much (yet), but better than nothing.

I'm not sure what is going on but I am trying to mine on the minar.cc pool but not finding any blocks. I represent a very large chunk of the network hashrate and haven't found anything after about 30 minutes. There were blocks found by the pool just 3 days ago but something isn't right as of right now. I mined some Kudos when it was first launched and was hoping to pick up some more, but I'm about to give up and move on to a coin that is actually functioning.
If you have that much hashrate, which we welcome, what stops you from solo mining? At this moment still doable.

SoftCoin Pre-Launch Announcement Launch at July 1st 2014

Didn't know there was Kudos coin.
I wanted to make one. Then I came across this one.........................
This one seems pretty dead to me.
What solutions are there?
How could I overtake this project, or even start new KudosCoin ( If possible without people crying?)
I can guarantee success.
It's not dead. For sure, not dead.

Guys...
Can somebody shed some light for I am flabbergasted. I contacted Cryptsy asking them for the criteria in order to put us on the list. This is the reply I received: “Sorry for legal reasons we will not be adding this coin. BitJohn” WTF? I replied with the request to clarify the “legal reason” part. So far no answer. In what differs Kudos from the other coins in order to pose legal issues? The only conclusion I can draw is that Kudos is started by someone working at Cryptsy?
Cryptoftw, what's going on?
maybe copyright issues. the "+1" is googles thing... is the dev still active somewhere? last log in: 18-12-2013, 14:10:10 Cryptsy responded about the "legal reason" part: Thank you for submitting this coin to us. I have added it to our list of coins to review for addition to the cryptsy exchange.Sincerely,Jim Cryptsy.comSo, let's assume that Bit John was stuck in a glitch and Jim pulled him out ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) .
