1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO] Primalbase: Distributed Workspace for Tech Community - June 26 on: June 11, 2017, 10:37:41 PM
I have a question.

What if the Token gains a large amount of value through speculation
It sounds like a good thing but wouldn't that mean it would be pricing out people that actually want to use this service?

If this hits lets say, 1bn market cap, how many people are going to be able really own, or even rent tokens for their intended use case?

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Help With Gridcoin Wallet Balance please. on: March 13, 2014, 06:21:38 AM
Hello bitcoiners, It would be wonderful if you could help me with a predicament I am having.

I sent a gridcoin transaction from the exchange https://c-cex.com

-4086.81000000 GRC to GGCCGPAuEMQooA8FggHVNdePwiPEdkwRzh
 (7aab71ddb74a355623620c60c00e2543a099f4a03c092f2b9e73074414e25164)

I did this before my wallet had synced, this was as I couldn't get 2FA to work at the time.

I had problems with the client halting scanning at 12 weeks and 12 days.

I downloaded the beta version and the same Public address is present but my total balance is 0.

My client says the last block is 79200.

Any input would be fantastic.  Smiley

Great concept. You have my support; It give's me a real reason to start mining. The benefit I am providing to BOINC is a kick in the rear to start up right now!

Looking forward to seeing the progression of this coin in the long term.

I find the boards to be very dyslexic at the moment.

Perhaps you should interact with the community for a while, Mr. "5 posts".   Wink

Theymos is building a new forum from scratch, so keep the ideas coming.

If something can be implemented which improves the forum I feel the rating of the person suggesting such should hardly matter; an improvement is an improvement, having a larger amount of posts wont effect the legitimacy of my suggestion.

Theres a new forum being developed? That is great to hear!
Hopefully it is up and running soon; I'm excited now! Thanks for the information Vod.

Such as this.

I have not looked into the legitimacy of the link but it does not seem like it would be hard to implement.

Hello community!
I am not aware of the proper proposal regulations on Bitcointalk so if this is insolent please forgive me.

When I previously browsed other forums I would often filter threads by rating in order to see the most relevant and useful posts first.

A change to such a system would also be beneficial for newcomers as all the pillar threads will be found with ease; Hence there might be a small decrease in repetitive posts due to an inability (or lack of will) to find information.

A rating system out of 5 stars that can be filtered in conjunction with variances of  date (Today,This week, etc) would be optimum.

I find the boards to be very dyslexic at the moment.

Thank you for your time people. Kiss

Hey guys.  I am new to all this crypto currency jazz.  I have already learned quite a bit by lurking here and a few other places.  I bought a usb block erupter just to try and figure things out.  It has been pretty fun playing with all the different pools and different coins.  I also have done a little bit of scrypt mining for dogecoins.  I think it's going to be a fun hobby.  I wish I had got into it a year ago when I first heard of bitcoin.

Just a friendly perspective! I believe that is exactly what the people will be saying during 2015. Believe me I have said my share of the same things haha!

It is always best to only focus on the things you can affect, that being the present (and indirectly the future due to focusing on the present)

Now is always your time.

I will see you next year at awesome All Time highs!  Kiss

During the great manure crisis of 1894 in which horses population exploded in New York city as they where a means of transportation the Times of London estimated that by 1950 every street in the city would be covered by horse manure. A prognosticator also determined that by 1930 horse droppings would rise to Manhattans third story windows.

But there was something unaccounted for which couldn't rationally be conceptualized by the average person at the time, the creation of the automobile.

I do not remember exactly where I heard this certain bit of information but someone hypothesized that if people brought horses into the city in an aid to move out of the city roads would be blocked by manure.

I feel your question will receive answers much like the one above rather than someone actually stating that "cars will change how we travel and end the issues which we currently face with horses"

If the average person could predict the future with such ease many would be rich.
Its extremely hard to bet on future technologies as your not in the "future" (or present if you want to think about it like that LOL) yet and cant account for all the things you will know during 2017

But my overtly optimistic and currently ignorant answer to your question is Bitcoin.  Kiss
