Did some more research into JINBI and found that they are likely a scam. I will be more careful from now on. I think I'm going to stick with the big boys from now on Wink

DO NOT waste your money on these scammers! I knew it when I read the whitepaper that it was too good to be true! There are too many red flags on this one folks!

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 51% attack is very unlikely on: June 04, 2018, 07:01:19 PM
The people who attempt taking that kind of control probably don't care for the the public's perception or confidence in the coin, they are looking out for their own gains. That said, you are correct, it is unlikely to happen and even if it did the perpetrators wouldn't be able to create new coins nor would they be able to modify all past transactions other than a few blocks back. Overall, the potential damage is much smaller than most think...

This. They would simply cash out, and likely do it VERY slowly. I'm talking years here. If they dumped 51% all at once then the price would indeed become a factor.

Digital money is growing and bitcoin is the king in the digital market:
The value of bitcoin is the highest,
Bitcoin's technology is the most modern,
Bitcoin appears the earliest,
Bitcoin is most commonly used.

What do you mean by it being the most modern? BTC, as far as I know, there have been countless improvements to the blockchain technology and BTC is pretty outdated in terms of tech right now! It can take up to several minutes for a BTC transaction to go through.

We are entering an era of multiple digital currencies, and many of them will survive. Bitcoin is certain to be one of them, but it can't be number one for every factor. Where do you think Bitcoin will stay as number 1

  • Store of value
  • Services in addition to simple money transfer
  • Convenience
  • Security
  • Investment/speculation
  • Safe transfer speed
  • Privacy
  • Freedom from globalist control
  • Other

I believe that bitcoin will not last as #1 for long (years in the future) as it uses outdated technology. The transaction time is too slow and many improvements have been made to the original blockchain tech. The advantage bitcoin has is its name primarily, and the fact that many coins have already been mined. (The store of value part is where it holds its value most.)

Hi everyone! My name is Hive and I am glad to finally be joining this forum! I have been following bitcoin for years now and have a low stake in several altcoins as I do not have much fiat to work with. I am, however, the proud owner of a low-grade mining rig aka my gaming pc Smiley I will be upgrading it soon with my altcoin profits and am very excited for that! I have already posted and had recommendations on what to upgrade thanks to you folks!

I live in the southeast USA, anyone else?

I am most interested in ETH and EOS, I, fortunately, was able to get my hand on 1 EOS token before snapshot (rookie numbers I know). I am excited to be joining this forum and learning from you experts Smiley

Thanks for the replies guys!

I should mention that my MOBO lags out after adding 4 cards (I had 4 1060s at one point but for some reason, it could not support them; symptoms were constant input lag and slow response time on all inputs and outputs, I wish I could give a better answer. Imagine your computer running at 10fps I suppose). Also I have one more 1060 lying around I forgot about Tongue so 3 total. I guess getting a 6 card MOBO and a rig case would be my best bet!

Thanks!

Hey guys! My name is Hive and I am new to this forum Smiley

So I have been into bitcoin for years now, mostly just trading but I have recently started mining altcoins on Miningpoolhub and been getting some rookie numbers (around $2 per day) and want to improve!

My current setup is a simple gaming computer with 2 gtx1060s, and I am considering buying either asics or more GPU's/motherboards.

What would my best option for improvement be for around the $500 range? If I decide to get more GPU's, I would have to get a new motherboard as I currently have the MSI B130 gaming edition which CANNOT support more than 3 GPU. I could potentially get an asic though... I do not really know much about which ones to buy or value, however I do know how they work.

Any and all advice for a noob is welcome Smiley

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I currently have an EVEGA 1000w PSU AND an EVEGA 600W psu. Would it be possible to rig them both up? Not sure how that works. The 1000w is currently connected to my gaming rig.
