I ever wondered how DASH managed to get on Kraken, DASH is a bit shady IMHO.
Hope the devs are interested in getting XEM to Kraken, 50k usd isn't much for them or even for our community.
I'll guess we could manage this without the devs if we want, we would just need about 310000 XEM at current price.

So, we all know it can't rise every day, so little patience will help.
NEM did so well, while everybody was waiting for the overhyped coins like ETC and XRP, it did more or less silently rise up to place 4 on coinmarketcap.com.
I'm soo happy to found this project at the right time (was about 35sat, but the most I bought was later between 300-650sat), I wish I bought enough
at this time to make a supernode, but after so much failed coins it was hard to trust that young project for me.

im a bagholder but I feel sick looking at the price. I'm both happy and scared about the price pumping this high. Surely there's a correction that will happen but I'm afraid I dont know the new floor after a dump that will happen.
I share the same concern. Don' t know how good is the sudden price rise for the project :-/ I hope it won't be counterproductive for further adoption and that lot of people won't get heart in this "pumping games". For sure the price rise will (could) change a lot of people lifes to better that were at right place at the right time and get the luck to receive / invest in this technology but it could also take the life to worse if they do not keep a "cool head". I thing you read somewhere that people that get a lot of money at once example from lottery got poor as they got insane from spending an easy eraned money to lot of stupid things that thowed them into limbo of debt so their life get even worse then before. You can consider it shady all you want but we have been conducting majority of communications through our slack and telegram ever since the beginning so there is no change. We have been consistent since the creation of this thread.
There are many ppl who doesn't want to make the 1000th account for reading something. Every time after creating, I'm receiving more and more spam and crypto-phishing on the mail accounts... And it seems telegram asks for a phone-number!? - no way! edit: typo |

Yeah there is nothing to worry about - NEM is not a one guys game, eventually we will rise to a new level, but currently its one deep pocketed guy manipulating the price, he is very sharp everytime when the coin hits 2600-2800 level, I think it was the same guy to dump 280btc some days back to cause some panic. But in time he will get rid off NEM and we have new holders and our growth will continue. That's the only thing stopping us now. So I wouldn't worry too much. Think long term is all that matters, really all I'm saying that it is funny when you can pick this kind of patterns in short term when you follow. This guy likes to dump 78 btc - 23 btc - 8btc and repeated the pattern at similiar levels already 3 times. And he still has 4th and 5th barrel after that to try to push down the price momentarily, he knows hes game really well how to try to effect psycholical panic on the market, really all I am saying if that guy is reading the thread. I got you fella.  I also have knowledge that there is 300-500btc stack wanting to get out of NEM because he is well set for life already, so we might see that coming sooner or later so nothing to panic about, let him get his stack and NEM will move on. It's completely another guy than the pump&dumper. But I still don't know how he will do it, if he will smartly sell pieces on sell wall or dump the buy wall if it gets stacked, so there is something to follow. My XEM investment was the best I did since I started with cryptos, I have some since the 35sat times.
After kraken listed XMR, in which I can't see that much potential as in XEM, what did you guys think about XEM on Kraken?
Good or Bad for XEM? - in some cases a (bigger) Fiat trading pair could have a negative impact, I think.
I would love to see it on kraken, but as said I don't know if its good for us, and how to get it there.

Since NF17 they have massive problems with some Botnets (I know, UTC can have the same problems too).
Changing a coins parameters (reward, NF-Factor scheduling etc...) isn't fine, but probably necessary cause

Some people are still eager to see FAIL on bigger exchanges and decided to make this clear for the last time. If we currently try and succeed to list FAILCoin on exchanges like Bittrex and Cryptsy, the result will be:
1. It will be a big lie from us. While some people find normal to list a coin right/soon after it launches, we think that a coin must first build some fundamentals. FAIL is not ready yet.
2. There will be no volume.
3. FAILCoin will die fast.
We know very well that patience is not really a virtue in cryptoworld and we probably risk people to lose interest in FAILCoin, but what we can promise is that we are going to work hard to avoid this outcome. FAILCoin does not currently deserve to be promoted and that is why we remain silent.

To the pros/cons of POS:
Personally, I like full POS coins, most of them didn't have that much inflation of PoW coins, what makes it a bit easier to
sustain hard times.
The other side is PoW creates awareness at leased from miners (I'm almost mining UTC since beginning, with some breaks).
To be honest, I don't see much more advantages of PoW, except this and if you want a coin to mine and dump.
About speed, as example ECASH has 8sec blocktime I think. That makes some orphans while staking, but seems to work.
In my opinion, UTC could switch to full PoS (with of cause lower interest rates than Ecash) and lower blocktimes to be state of the art again.
